Here's a rare bird, see if you can find another house boat this capable.
@@HarborYachtTours why would you want to
The price 🤣😂😅
@@alfredgales4834 no kidding. What a joke
Looks like a Cool Cat. There was one in the marina in Michigan where I kept my boat yerars ago.
My dad started a vacation rental business in Florida with houseboats. He started with some holiday mansions and ended up moving to a fleet of gibsons.
Did he do well with it?
65K!! The book value for one in "good" condition is 19K! WTF
Absolutely
when ya get scammed but somehow ya think ya got a good deal
The boat's in good shape but that price is way over the top. Still, looks as though she's been mainly kept in fresh water; if she'd been in the salt, no way she'd look this good!
It's the engines that drove the price up. The man isn't lying when he called it a unicorn. Every houseboat I've ever seen uses a gas engine. I think it's still overpriced but you'd NEVER find one with twin diesel inboards for 19K in this condition.
It’s in LaBelle, just dropped the price by 30%.
Only if this gem was for sale 3 years from now (retirement). Something just pulls you to this boat. Not fancy but what a perfect way of living. The fact the boat is a 1993, the year I graduated high school sealed the deal of loving this boat.
Hope someone gets this boat and treats her the best.
Agreed fun retirement home.
The hull is called a wave plaining cathedral hull! Very stable great sea boat I’ve had 3 Wilson flyers with this hull configuration! With a 6 foot beam at 21 foot long you’d think it Would tip or lean when you have 4 big guys onboard but no very stable and will tolerate big seas! With them twin yanmar (which is a marine Yamaha engine!) she will easily do 25 to 30 knots! I’d love that boat biggest cathedral hill I’ve seen! Love the video bud!!!
Thanks Robert
You have done a Very Good job presenting this. Better than most ! Gets a Thumbs Up !! The video is enjoyable. I have to ask Why anyone would attempt to live on something like this when you could have almost any Aft Cabin cruiser that is actually livable. A 43 Hatteras comes to mind for $50 k in Marina Del Rey. Gotta have the same on the east coast ! You have to.
Thanks I appreciate it
Wow that's really a sweet deal for someone. Super clean, roomy and those newer engines are a huge plus. You always find the coolest boats to feature and your channel never disappoints. I always look each day to see if there's something new from your channel. You always have cool stuff. That's a nice looking marina too.
Yes I love finding off the beaten path marinas. The big fancy ones are cool too though.
My grandparents had a early 80s 32ft Holiday Mansion. It took multiple trips to Block Island, Montauk, and Narragansett bay from Watch Hill RI without issue. It was a great boat.
Very comfortable
Looks like an old...Drift 'R' Cruise😂😂😂 good stuff thanks for posting...😊😊😊
Thanks for watching!
@@HarborYachtTours 👍
Your awesome be safe out there
Thanks Mathew I appreciate it
@@HarborYachtTours your welcome have awesome day be safe out there
i have a 1982 35 foot.....no ocean going anymore but i love her!
That’s the size I’m looking at what do you have?
Re: price of the boat.
A. Diesel engines will ALWAYS command a premium in a boat like this. They are almost impossible to find and the price will be affected accordingly.
B. The market has been overpriced ever since Covid hit. We are now finally starting to see some downward movement on boat and RV prices but a lot of people that bought their boats 3-5 years ago are still stubbornly trying to get their money back out of them. I'd say over the next 12 months we should see a pretty big market correction on boat and RV pricing.
one can only hope so
Awesome tour Brian!! Thanks for another awesome video!! Keep em coming!!
Thanks Will do
Money pit
Thats a great name for every boat.
Accurate description of every hole in tne water ever constructed.
@@andrewallen9993 but I love it
Cool boat. I would like it more if it had a livable master state room. I would probably put my money toward a Sport Fishing Vessel.
Seems like A LOT of $$$$ for the condition. I can look past some of the cosmetic issues, but all that dirty water in the bilge gives me the willies. Also that counter top in the bathroom with the rotten particle board, guarantee the floors/walls in the bathroom are in similar shape.
Yep. The condition of that head really drags the price down.
WOW! ITS ITTY BITTY 2!
Looking for a Itty Bitty myself
First thing ya got to do is overhaul the turbos. They are notorious for bearing failure. Thats why it's much better to go without turbos or superchargers.
I like the classic looks of these. See a lot of super large house boats on lake Cumberland. One was like this and completely redone and beautiful inside. As long as the stringers are good and wood has not had water seepage, these can be great little classic livaboards on protected waters. We primarily boat in the Great Lakes so these would not be ideal unless one plans for a lot of no-go days. I am not sure how one would get a BUK value on this and the buyer would have to just determine what they were willing to pay. That old, I would have to bet there may be a lot of soft spots on the roof and cockpit. Nice boat for the right person and the right price.
1000 hours on 1993 motors? A little "Home Depot" refit and what a deal!! With the price of solar coming down that may be all the electric you need too!! Sweet! Peace --gary
That is a cool boat
Thanks for hanging out John
@@HarborYachtTours you got it, Brian✌️
The bilge was freshly cleaned and it's a mess, it looks to have a bunch of oil staining and that 'dirty' water looks to be full of rust, not dust/dirt. The multiple transom leaks are also highly concerning.
nice boat 👍 ! & nice marina !
Thanks 👍
That would be a nice loop boat.
Big Fuel Savings Diesels
❤ something like this in Australia 🇦🇺🫡🥳👍👍👍👍👍
Looky here!
Ahoy
Nice😀😎✨
Thank you I appreciate it.
Would have to be handy and have some money. Love the powerplants but the boat is tired
Right, but you pretty much gotta be handy and have some money tone any of the larger boats. or if you’re not handy, just lots of money
I know right 65,000 is more than double what it's worth this boat needs so much maintenance and work done to it
Seems a bit overpriced. I'm not an expert.
Maybe that's the owner's way of saying he really doesn't want to sell it.
$35k
Great looper...
I’d say so.
I went by that marina when crossing from Fort Meyers to Stuart, and had it as an emergency stop or weather got bad (sailboat) but weather was good and continued but it was a nice area. Hope to do the crossing again westbound in the near future. Nice boat, but find it a bit overpriced. Had a friend that had one, removed the engines, left the genset, and moored for ever at a lake in MD.
That’s exactly what I’m looking to do. I’ve got a property that is waiting for a houseboat to move in looking for one dirt cheap without motors. I’ll just paddle it there if I have to lol.
Black and grey water going over the side?
A bit “long in the the tooth” for that price. Someone is going to take over the maintenance that hasn’t been fully done.
Will it make it to north sentinel island? I have family there I haven’t seen in years.
Not bad for an old boat. A little pricey compared to other 30 year old live aboards.
It is but that’s because of the power
"Houseboat"with no stateroom just a couple of bunk beds in an are with zero head room. Cant even stan up straight in the bathroom. Out of date electronics and they want $40k over book value? I foresee this one being on the market for a while.
He had a ton of interest as soon as he put it on the market. I’m sure it’s sold by now.
Interesting , Thank you. Would be worth a Look , if I had any desire to live in ? As to the price , I have no idea
The boat is a nice size, but, the space was horribly used. The living area is a joke as well as the bedroom area. A LOT could have been done to make it more homey. Nice wallpaper. Nice curtains. Nice carpeting. A nicer dining room environment.
She's a beaut! Thanks for showing us!
No problem!
Are the Horns inside!?! or those just sitting there waiting to be installed outside?
I think just waiting to be installed
Nice boat but what is up with the damn air horns in the middle of the LR???
I’d hook it up to an alarm clock.
Labelle is in Hendry county
Rear deck, bow deck are the terms.
Horns on the inside?
That’s for the captain to wake up the crew when pirates attack.
@@HarborYachtTours oh lmao
I’d just leave it in the same spot and live in it full time for just myself and my cat… 🐱
It's look ok boat but what this about can buy good one for 19.000$??????
is this boat crossatlantic capable ? because it looks like a normal boat
Definitely not
What kind of GPH does she run?
Good question
Is it sold?
Not sure check with the owner his info is in the description
@ I will. Thank you
@ I will thank you.
Open the windows, i need to honk the horn!!
Still need to be uninstalled but good one
“Moving back forward”🤔
*back to the bow
A boat is a hole in the water you pour money into. BOAT - Bring Out Another Thousand. Boats are like RVs the worst investment you will ever make in your life.
They are called Houseboats because they are built like a cheap house rather than a cheap boat and that’s not a good thing.
Interesting statement. Based on what facts? Or just a passing opinion?
@@Rick_Foley I have eyes with which to see! Holiday Mansion is about top of the line for mass produced houseboat yet the helm is surrounded by ply board made to look like tongue and groove. Railing to left of helm looks like it made from 2x4s. Flooring is vinyl laminate. Overhead radio panel looks to be comprised of luan. My cheap rental house I just left from working on has luan doors. Sliding windows and doors are cheap.
Let compare to my house. Real tongue and groove cypress, 1” 80% heart of pine 150 year old reclaimed flooring. Railing of my dock 10 coats epiphanies on Sapelle.
My boat is older than this houseboat. Teak center console, teak forward hatch cover. Chrome over bronze bow chock. Screws are bronze or 316 stainless. Inside sidewall covers are varnished mahogany. 1971 Outrage by far superior and older.
How is that for facts backing up an opinion versus one who cannot see what is in front of them
@@hugoglenn9741 Thank you for clarifying your original vague statement. A very thoughtfully executed response. Thank you again for taking time out of your obviously busy day to educate me and others.
The flying bridge should be covered.
Asking 55.000 is what it say on the description
no water or power ? doesnt sound like paradise to me.
Gotta bring your own
A trawler is so much better
Right unless you want a houseboat.
@@HarborYachtTours no reason anyone would. For sure that's why the owner is selling with that baloney story about five foot waves. The waves in that video were two foot and it was getting thrashed.
$47,000.00
That asking price is outrageous. I wouldnt pay more than 15 grand i dont see where it would be much more then that. Crazy pricing like wtf😮😮😮
I think it’s already sold. Dude knows what he’s doing
Great boat IF ITVWAS MINT,but its not.
Way too high 😂
That wide lens is horrible
Just fyi any fresh water in Florida is gator infested
Die Außenansicht ist schon sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Wo ist das Heck, wo ist der Bug😅
65k...yeah ok
Way over priced. Needs a complete overhaul
V drives? Meh.....
They have served me well in my decades on the water. Maintenance is not a dirty word. What is on your boat?
Oars😅
Ole reliable
That's WAY too much money for this boat...
Sold super quick
@HarborYachtTours cool. Doesn't mean the buyer wasn't a complete idiot and that this boat was WAY too expensive. Lol.
@@HarborYachtTours we just elected Trump as our president. Again... I KNOW stupid people exist in this country. Lol. Saying something sold "super quick" doesn't mean it wasn't a complete rip off. Every year. People buy millions of cars they technically can't afford. They get locked into 7, 8, $900 a month payments. I worked at a dealership before and during the beginning of covid. I had a man buy a $72,ooo truck and somehow got approved and pays an $11oo a month payment. The current population isn't exactly the brightest when it comes to spending money and the value of things.
V drives, very inefficient. Lose of power and fuel guzzler.
Better than an out drive though
Sounds like a fair asking price assuming a survey doesn't throw any nasty surprises. It does need a lot of (mostly) cosmetic TLC
Fair enough
