It's such a unique experience, seeing these volumes of Disney Channel promos. It really takes you back to the time when the Disney Channel truly had a lot of heart and substance within and had shows that were totally worth watching, with wholesomeness and care put into them, giving the fans what they want. Nowadays, Disney Channel is nothing more than a headquarters for poorly written and uninspired live action sitcoms, animated series, and tv movies. Seeing volumes like this one is a real treat, with that thought in mind.

I came for the commercials, but was absolutely delighted by the feature on Herb Ryman. Such an awesome treat to be included in this series, I love these interviews with people who were so pivotal yet so commonly forgotten in Disney's history.

Wonderful world of Disney indeed. It was really a delight back. Always felt like you stepped into another world watching the Disney Channel back then.

At 7:47, the music cue is "White Water (b)" by Richard Harvey for KPM. Not only that, Harvey also composed the "Imagineering" intro filler titled "This Is The Future", which is at 6:45. I apologize if I'm being too obvious.

It's interesting to hear the entire piece after only ever hearing a small snippet:

I remember visiting some family in San Diego on New Year’s Eve as we were bidding 1992 farewell. They were tuned to the Disney Channel, and I remember watching A Boy Named Charlie Brown. I plan to ring in the new year this year with a Peanuts movie marathon myself. How we miss the old Disney Channel when it was still a premium Netwerk.

Christmas Day 92, I was incredibly sick with a flu after a friend and I had ordered Pizza Hut for lunch a couple days before on the 23rd. I tried my best to distract myself with the gifts I got, such as the Sega CD, but a FMV Sherlock Holmes game wasn’t enough to hide how lousy I felt.

I really wanted this channel growing up, but all I was able to do was the free preview weekends, they had so many good animated movies and other stuff! But in Christmas in '92, I got a game called Super Mario Kart, and well, the rest is history!

Wow, watching this, I forgot how diverse Disney Channel was with its movie programming back then.

@@80sCommercialVault Actually, I looked at Vol. 22 a few seconds ago, and it actually came on at 10:30 PM.

The promo at 1:59 was for a showing that aired after midnight on New Year's Eve. The Disney Channel back then aired things multiple times a week.
