@@AndrewMadrigal1414 First thing is to realize that your brain has been conditioned to think this way, that you need to reprogram it. You aren't born with BPD, it's a learned condition, usually through trauma. You never really formed a solid identity on your own and developing one isn't going to happen overnight, nor is learning how to set boundaries between your own identity and others. In the meantime, the emotional distress you go through won't stop. You have to learn coping mechanisms. Mostly, how to just "observe" your emotions like it's an annoying song on a radio you can't turn off. You can't completely ignore them, but you don't have to act on them, they don't mean anything. All those thoughts in your head are distortions, they're not reality and you don't have to go along with them or do things because of them. There is a type of therapy called DBT that is especially helpful at learning techniques that help with that. It takes a lot of practice, but you need to learn you control your mind - it doesn't control you. It takes a great deal of time. Years of work, the length depending a lot on the person. DBT also helps you deal with the slow pace at which things change, helping you to do "less harm" in the meantime as you get better control over your mind. I can't say the emotions ever end. I've been working on this for about 20 years and my emotions are still triggered, the distorted thoughts still spring to life, but I see them for what they are. Just noise. Like a bad headache, it may distract me but I don't have to let it get in my way of doing things. I can just acknowledge that it's there and move on. I am in control of my behavior, I don't have to let it control me. To be proactive instead of reactive. I hope this makes sense and was helpful. You need a good therapist and a good DBT program to help you. A lot of Eastern practices like Zen, Yoga and Meditation were also helpful to me. There is a book called "Letting Go" by David Hawkins that was also very helpful, but that might be heavy reading. Those emotions may seem powerful and overwhelming and like there's nothing you can do to control them, but it's only because you never really learned how to deal with them. Learning things new as a child is easy - unlearning bad conditioning and relearning better ways as an adult takes a great deal of time.

A good friend of mine had the pleasure of working with Winona Ryder as a principal actor in a Ron Howard film. It sounds like she really is that sweet of a person irl, from what my friend has told me.
I always loved her ... I am not sure if it was because I was anxious as a person and growing up she was representing anxious characters ... I can relate to .. I also love how soft she is .. soft but not weak :) .. Hearing her answers, she is so relatable .. and I am admiring her ability to keep a shirt for 10s of years then wear it again .. just like that .. I love how real she is .. and how down to earth and humble .. I am glad she is appreciated after all these times .. I always thought she is not getting enough spotlight and she deserves it.
Omg she's so freaking wholesome. I love watching her talk and tell stories. I can see why Johnny was a mess when they ended. The one that got away for us all 😭😭 America's Sweetheart
Winona's Pisces moon sign definitely shows here 😂 She's so dorky, and the fact that she gets sidetracked with her answers and is forgetful says it all. But it's just so darn cute and adorable; like how can you resist and not laugh in adoration?! Winona forever
I can't imagine how traumatising that must've been for her and you can really tell by how nervous she's now at red carpet events :( but overall she seems so much happier and more confident now, I love to see it!
I never realized until just now how many of her films I’ve seen and love. Edward Scissorhands, Reality Bites, Little Women … and so many others form the backbone of my childhood viewing experience. But kudos for including Mermaids in this video. Such an underrated gem of a film and one of my all-time faves. Winona seems like a lovely person, and I wish her nothing but joy. 💜
And for those of us who can actually read people, you can tell she's a nervous wreck. There's so much effort involved when she's being interviewed, it's crazy.
She's so sweet! One of my favorite actors of all time. I love that Kate Bush pin, I read she is a huge fan and that makes me so happy, I'm a huge fan too and have been for three years and I bet Winona had something to do with the use of the song! Also please let me age as good as Winona, she's so beautiful!
She is NOT a talented actress. Don’t get me wrong, I like her, but she does not emote well. Still way better than Angelina Jolie, but “so talented” is an overstatement.
God she's so charming, I love her so much, I'm so happy to be in the year 2022 and still seeing her active and thriving. She looks absolutely stunning in that suit
She also sang in Reality Bites. She and Janeane Garofalo sang along to Tempted By the Fruit of Another in a car. They also sang along to My Sharona in the gas station.
Ah I wish this vid would have longer. Can't get enough of her. To say that she influenced my childhood is an understatement. Love you forever, Winona!!
I've loved watching Winona Ryder ever since I first watched her in the original Heathers years ago. She's amazing! I like how down-to-earth she is. Anyone (American) born in the 70s 80s or up to the mid-90s knows exactly who she was even before Stranger Things. Especially in the late '80s to early 90s Winona Ryder was Hollywood royalty at its best. But to me she's always been a Star.
She’s a beautiful actress. My favorite role was her luminous performance in Little Women. She should have gotten the Oscar for that one(she was nominated). I’ll watch her in anything and everything she does.

A good friend of mine had the pleasure of working with Winona Ryder as a principal actor in a Ron Howard film. It sounds like she really is that sweet of a person irl, from what my friend has told me.
her voice is so calming i literally love her SO much.

I absolutely love her, she's such an icon still, few people get to stay relevant and genuinely cool after 30 years of career

Omg she's so freaking wholesome. I love watching her talk and tell stories. I can see why Johnny was a mess when they ended. The one that got away for us all 😭😭 America's Sweetheart
Can we all just agree that winona is the sweetest human? I just wanna give her a hug ❤️

Winona's Pisces moon sign definitely shows here 😂 She's so dorky, and the fact that she gets sidetracked with her answers and is forgetful says it all. But it's just so darn cute and adorable; like how can you resist and not laugh in adoration?! Winona forever
This was a treat. I love how open & candid this interview is. Winona Forever

Could not love her more. So authenticity herself.✌❤
ugh she's such a legend and genuine, down-to-earth soul

She seems like a very decent, kind, unaffected person. Also, she's still extremely beautiful.
I’m just glad she’s back and better than ever given how the media treated her years ago.
what happened ?!
@@IivingdeadgirIl she shoplifted while drunk and the media harrassed her.
@@IivingdeadgirIl really???
I can't imagine how traumatising that must've been for her and you can really tell by how nervous she's now at red carpet events :( but overall she seems so much happier and more confident now, I love to see it!
Whenever she's unsure and trying to think. She always looks up so bewildered. Lots of character in her expressions.
Been a fan of Winona since I saw her in the movie Lucas! She’s so down to earth! Winona forever! 😊

For me it was Beetlejuice. I fell in love. Then I found out we went to the same school. Blew my mind.
She's so warm and charming, I love her role in Stranger Things.

She looks so pretty here, and has such a nice, warm, humorous personality.
I love that Winona is back at it and seems to be doing well. Have always loved her.

Winona has that classic movie star charisma and personality something that most ladies in cinema these days lack.
For some reason, Winona Ryder being 50 makes me feel ancient, while I'm 53. I love how her face lit up when she spoke about Keanu Reeves.

And for those of us who can actually read people, you can tell she's a nervous wreck. There's so much effort involved when she's being interviewed, it's crazy.
She's been my favorite actress since I can remember, I'm genuinely so happy she's having so much success with ST
She's so sweet! One of my favorite actors of all time. I love that Kate Bush pin, I read she is a huge fan and that makes me so happy, I'm a huge fan too and have been for three years and I bet Winona had something to do with the use of the song! Also please let me age as good as Winona, she's so beautiful!
shes so beautiful and extremely talented, i love her!

Winona's resurgence.. makes me so happy. I love the space she's in right now. It gives me so much joy.
Winona is such an inspiration and so talented as well as down to earth. She's just such a great actress and all around artist. 💜

She is NOT a talented actress. Don’t get me wrong, I like her, but she does not emote well. Still way better than Angelina Jolie, but “so talented” is an overstatement.
she looks like a very casual person that dresses up fancy and i kinds love it. it feels more human than everyone pretending to be professional

I have always loved her... Best actress ❤
💞
I've loved watching Winona Ryder ever since I first watched her in the original Heathers years ago. She's amazing! I like how down-to-earth she is. It doesn't seem like fame has gotten to her head at all, and I like that. It really shows that she's just a regular person and acting is just what she does rather than someone who sees themselves as this big Hollywood actress who lives a lavish lifestyle.
I’m just smiling throughout the video. She’s so warm, kind and so pretty all at the same time. ❤️
It's hard to believe she's 51!
She’s actually only 50 but yes it is crazy
@@elexushayden6375 Oh yes October birthday - I always get confused about this because I'm a January! But to think I'm two years her junior and she looks this good, and not cosmetically enhanced by all sorts of complicated procedures... it's kind of inspiring. She's always been gorgeous 🙂
I'm genuinely so happy to be alive at the same time as Winona Ryder. She's so incredible ❤️
All this 90s Winona trivia locked away in my head from idolising her as a kid. I’m 42 now and feeling pretty smug with myself! 😂💅🏼

i love this comment, because another person commented it and i’m like yeah the winona fans are like errrrrrh wrong!
She talks so slow. That’s so nice for an American. Very soothing
Winona and Keanu are basically the same person 🤣
winona has such an iconic voice, i could listen to her talk forever. also the kate bush pin yessss

Lydia Deetz helped me through some hard dark teen times. I own Winona so much. And the fact she's the star of my favourite pop culture show of all time and my favourite movie of all time is just a blessing.

I’m glad she’s in Stranger Things, so I get to see more of her in shows and interviews!🙂

Winona was amazing in ALIEN: Resurrection along with Sigourney Weaver
She is a gifted actress and I hope she has continued success in the coming years. Love you Winona!
