People have to remember that we are actually VERY lucky to have all these Winona interviews now, because for decades she would avoid all talkshows and interviews due to being quite shy
She started being really uncomfortable in interviews after the way the media treated her in the 00s… she developed really bad anxiety. She was much more relaxed and eloquent in interviews when she was young. But i will never get to of listening to her no matter what. Such a sweet, humble, intelligent and unique woman.
THE 90s it girl. What an icon…what a gorgeous and unique human being. I wish this video was longer, some iconic looks are missing here (and i could listen to her for hours tbh)
I think along with Kirsten Dunst, Winona is one of those 80s/90s teen icons who is truly underrated and deserves her flowers. Both gave iconic performances in so many movies that shaped 80s/90s/00s culture. Both are deeply rooted in their craft giving such a variety characters. 10s 10s 10s across the board!
She got blacklisted for mental health issues leading to shoplifting. Which really shows how misogynistic Hollywood is. Predators like Bryan Singer, Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein never got even an ounce of backlash in comparison. Also, I totally agree about Kirsten Dunst and Winona being underrated icons. The Virgin Suicides, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Beetlejuice, Bring it On...
Fun fact: In Bram Stoker’s Dracula, the wedding scene was performed by a real Orthodox Priest, so Winona and Keanu actually got married. They had to get an annulment after filming.
You can truly tell where her passions sit. She is so detailed on the characters and glosses over Oscar dresses, etc. She's in the business for the craft. Not all of the other stuff and it's beautiful.
She was almost in every single one of my favourite films growing up, a fantastic actor and a woman who was so relatable and inspiring to me as a weird little girl trying to find her place in the world. Thank you Winona, we love you 🖤
So nice of her to remember Eiko Ishioka, the costumes in Dracula are incredible. She also mentioned Colleen Atwood who not only did the costumes for the Burton films but also Little Women. Colleen Atwood also designed the dress she wore to the Oscars that year.
The women's sexuality was really heightened, esp after they get to Transylvania. One nightgown Winona runs in is so sheer and she's braless! When she meets Anthony Hopkins in the story her corset emphasized her bust he just kept staring @t it!
Lydia Deetz is why little me showed up to a Christmas party wearing an all black outfit with a black choker while everyone else was in green and red. Icon.
I love that she still has that dinosaur suitcase! Also, I wish people would also credit Lucas since that was Winona's film debut and one of my favorite 80's movies with a lot of heart.
What I love about Winona is that she always went her own way. She was a proletarian star. One of the people. She never had the high and mighty attitude of people like Gwyneth Paltrow or Julia Roberts or anyone like that. She was relatable someone you can smoke a joint with have a beer and talk poetry or obscure movies but also everyday life with. She was one of the girls. the outsider and she used that as her sword. She deserves to be the icon that she is
How dare they not include Reality Bites, Edward Scissorhands and Little Women! I've been a fan of hers since the early days and she is and always will be thee iconic 90's IT girl of all time. I've always adored her and I can't believe Hollywood never thought of her as a beauty. Love her so much! Winona Forever!!
Winona always has something kind and positive to say. I have never once seen her comment on anything without finding a way to say something positive about it.
Finally she is regonized as one of the best actress in Hollywood, a beauty icon. She´s still so humble and kind so rare to find that in Hollywood, where most people are full of them self. I don´t know wjy any would watch Blake Lively, when you can watch Wiona. Just love her and wow thoose amazing eyes.
Winona & Helena Bonham Carter are just it. Ageless, iconic, beautiful, amazing actors. All their performances hold up to this day! And come on, how could someone not love Winona? ❤
@anyoneofus9948 i suppose if he couldn't have one, he wanted the other? 🤣 Just gonna say, have you seen Helena's husband? She made out by far the best in that situation.
I really love how thoughtfully she describes all of her outfits. She has such a lovely energy and comes across very genuine. And she has always had the most captivating eyes. 💝
Winona Ryder is one of the most authentically beautiful women to ever walk the planet! She is THE Burton girl! Thank you for all your roles Winona! Winona Forever! ❤
Winona is a special actress, with a unique look and talent that defined a time and a generation, like Brigitte Bardot , Marilyn Monroe or Claudia Cardinale , that innocence in her eyes mixed with that mysterious look and style , makes her a unique presence in cinema history
I love Winona so much. She really did form my style/personality when I was very young and stuck til this day. Thank you Winona. Theres no one else like you.
I love how simple but stunning her fit is lol. Saw the interview with her and Jenna and it's just funny how comfortable they are just wearing the same outfits. 🔥
Winona Ryder is one of the greatest actresses of all time, her works really hold up, and she is so humble, kind, and down to earth. I'll never get tired of seeing her in films or interviews! :D
She was, and still is, one of the most beautiful women and a talented actor. I love her and her look and personality. Saw her at the Kabuki Theater in San Francisco (lived in SF) in around 1990 with her brother and a friend. She had on jeans and a flannel shirt. I was struck by how tiny she is (short and thin) and how perfect her skin is. It was like porcelain. Flawless. She looked like a doll. I'd never seen anyone with skin like her then or since. People often compared me to her because of my black hair and pale skin and I was goth, which was a high compliment.
I love Winona!! It’s a shame people didn’t give her a fair chance after she made one mistake. She owned up to it & been atoned for it. Let’s hope she has the resurgence like Robert Downey Jr. has.

People have to remember that we are actually VERY lucky to have all these Winona interviews now, because for decades she would avoid all talkshows and interviews due to being quite shy
Thank you for that...watching the interview she seemed rather awkward and now that makes perfect sense
She started being really uncomfortable in interviews after the way the media treated her in the 00s… she developed really bad anxiety. Due to having been shot by Johnny Depp
@@SH-uy8liit was also after she had been shot by Johnny Depp
also because she shoplifted and got caught
She's just genuinely endearing. I could hear her talk about anything and feel soothed. It's such a rare quality.
I feel the same.
Not including her as Jo March in Little Women is a crime, that performance was literally amazing and it's one of my favorite movies of all time.
That's my ALL TIME favorite movie!!! ❤
So true!
I think it may be because that one was covered in the video made by Bazaar about her movie looks. Although they both included Heathers.
Yes! The end title card of her wearing that black top hat always gives me chills with how perfect she is.
I agree 100%. They could have easily talked about it when those 2 Looks were basically skipped over by Winona ❤
Winona is everywhere on UA-cam these days and I couldn't be more satisfied. My muse since my teenage years.
Is she promoting any new movie? I love her as an actress

Same as Chloe sevigny. They were my favorite and still are. Screw Kidman that hack.
HOW DARE YOU NOT HAVE HER TALK ABOUT EDWARD SCISSORHANDS
I think they get to approve the looks. Probably didn't want to talk about Johnny Depp.
Probably because she doesn't wanna talk too deeply about Johnny Depp
I can understand but also sad we did not get to hear about that beautiful white dress. Iconic!
@@800Ms-k6n Oh yeah! She was engaged to him afterall. 🤔
Agreed!!!
Amazing. Ultimate 90s icon. So glad to see her back regularly on the screen.

Yea Alien Resurrection would be an interesting one.
Little Women!

I love how she talks about her characters dressing in a way they could realistically afford. Love that.

she can't be real how much beautiful and incredibly fabulous she is
This woman belongs up there with the Angelina Jolies and Cate Blanchets of the world. Amazing legendary actress.
just doesn’t get as much credit as she deserves
Viola Davis eats to♥️
She did a movie with Angelina
I agree ❤️
Angelina Jolie and Kate Blanchett don't belong in the same sentence
I’m so glad Winonais getting her flowers again. And rightly so 🙌🏼❤️

She's aged so beautifully. I love that she hasn't messed with her face or done botox like these other women in Hollywood.
No, she had a nose job done in 2017
Impressed with how genuine she comes across after all the bad she had to endure, love Winona ❤

I practically repeated myself there, but the point still stands.
I love that she is more into how the clothes made her feel and about people connected with them than the brands, she is a wonderful person :)
