Hi Heidi!! Thank you so much for tuning in. I love chatting with other cloth diapering mamas!! ❤️ And we still have a huge stash of flats that we use when we happen to run low on Esembly and it’s not a wash day 🙃
Hi! So we are very small on our Diaper stash and just wash them more often We had 15 inners in size 1 and 8 inners in size 2 My newborns fit in them around 4-5 weeks bc we don’t use cloth diapers during the meconium stage! Thanks for watching!!
And for babies, usually change every 2-3 hours so 4-5 inner liners per day.. and just one outer liner usually each day (unless poop gets on it) ! We still use disposable at nighttime!
Grammie KK loves these also! I hated the original method of flats/folds/covers. Lots of leaks and messes! These are leakproof and I have changed some messy poops! And....so much easier to fold. These have made my grandmother duties much easier.
@@kathyhamilton6343 we are so thankful to have you on grandmother duties and that you liked the diaper switch! We had sooooooo many more leaks with the flats!! And they were so bulky too!
Thanks for this video! Do you also use washable options for feminine needs? I know that can save so much money and it's a greener option. But, brands differ and some work better than others. I would appreciate your recommendations.
Hi! Thank you for watching! And I have used bum genius once. When I first started I bought a few different styles off poshmark to make sure cloth diapering was going to work for us! I honestly have never loved an all in one diaper, most just personal preference! Before we used Esembly’s inner and outer system, we used flats and covers, I just liked that it was easy to just change out the inner flat diaper part verses the entire diaper as you would with an all-in-one! But… I definitely loved the ease of an all in one when doing the laundry.. super easy to fold vs the flats! But now the Esembly are just as easy to fold for us! Thanks for watching!
So the inners are supposed to get super soaked? I was thinking I wore it wrong but its worn pretty tight. Do your kids have imprints and marks on their body from the diapers?
Hi! Thank you for such a helpful video, I definitely feel more committed to buying this brand for my baby girl. I'm wondering how many inners and outers of each size you recommend?
Hi Veronica!!! Congrats on your new baby!! I think you will both love! I’m glad you found the information helpful!! We had about 12 inners in size 1 and 8 outers in size 1. This put me washing diapers every 2ish days usually! For the size 2, I had a few less of each (8-10 inners and 6 outers) because they didn’t wet as much and we also try to toilet train very early!! You don’t need nearly as many outers bc you usually can reuse them an entire day unless poop leaks onto them! Rarely happens!!
@@kimberlykilsgaard2238 I have less size 2 bc they don’t wet as often by that age. Or at least mine didn’t. And we potty train very early as well! I think 8 or 10 size 2 is all we have!
@@AmmieHarris what age did your children move from size one to two? I was going off the lbs.. This is my first baby so I have no concept of age and weight, but my friends were telling me that normally kids are a few months older than age/weight chart. I was thinking that they would be 5-6 mon when going to size 2.. am I way off? I was going to do disposable in the very beginning until their infant poops become less tar like and can ease my partner into clothe diapering vs what they think is the easier disposable
I also enjoyed using Esembly cloth diapers. But I still like flats, as well! 💜 Heidi

How many inner cloth diapers do you need in size 1 and 2? Does a newborn fit right away in a size 1 or are they too large? Thank you in adavnce!

These are even Aunt Kate proof. Everyone knows I hate changing diapers, but these make it easier 😂 how many do you recommend a day?

How is it with smell? Is it the same as a disposable diaper? Not that I would leave my baby in a dirty diaper for long but just curious
Same haha! I don’t find the dirties any less smelly in a disposable than in a cloth!

And yes (the few I’ve had between pregnancies) I use a washable liner. I got these off amazon!

Even Pappy can work these diapers!
Hahahahaa for sure!!! So easy!!

The inners will be super wet yes.
And sometimes my baby will have a little snap circle mark but not too badly!

Can you use any outters?
I do use the outer liners from Esembly but I have more inners than outers since I reuse them at diaper changes. Do you sell/have some?!
How long was your babe in size 1 til?…. Thank you
The size 1 goes up to 17 lbs but we squeezed her in them prob a little past that closet to 20 lbs on the last snap! Around 1 year!
How much does your toddler weigh
He is around 26 lbs right now I believe
