This scene is extra powerful when you know some of the book history behind John and the Spartan II's general distrust/uneasiness with "space-ops" and zero-g.

It never fails to astound me how far these games have come in terms of visuals, voice acting and writing. I haven't played Halo since ODST originally came out (lost access to the console I played on), but I've done my best to keep up with the lore and story as things developed over the years. To see the culmination of nearly a decade of advancing technology combined with just as much story and character development- Absolutely mind blowing. Makes me feel like I'm back in high school, finishing the fight for the first time all over again.
Halo infinite has a good campaign that is held back by 343 fixing there mistakes. Let me explain, collectively we agreed that halo 5 was not a great halo story it was a cool concept but they used the wrong characters if they treated it like a spin off using spartan 4s or even 3s it would be pretty good so for halo infinite they decided you know what screw all that stuff let’s try something new and reset the franchise a little. Which is fine but then they cut 70% of the campaign which is fine company’s cut sections all the time but the 30% that’s left is only the very important parts so it feels rushed and less well put together I theorised it was so they could release DLC and expansions down the line but then they cut most of the campaign staff so they are either not going to release or it’s going to be super delayed an expansion that fleshed the post campaign finish out more people say it’s less lore accurate not because it is (well ok maybe it’s more deviated from the books than other games but not a lot) not because it is but because it’s new and the gameplay is different so it’s not as linear as other games in the series

@B312XC that is true but halo infinite actually returns to what halo was about initially, compared to 4 and especially 5. It could've been done better but compared to the last 2 mainline instalments it's a nice return to form
@kaozspartan9289 reach had some of the worst weapon balance decisions, and shit on 10 years of books and established lore just to write use a far worse story than fall of reach the book. Odst was supposed to be a 20$ dlc but Microsoft realized they could sell it as a 60 dollar game.
