i like to criticize movies for portraying mooks with ranged weapons running into melee as unreal, but it seems multiplayer games people do the same thing haha! still real life dudes with ranged weapons wouldnt run into sword range.
There is a very good counter to this tactic (not on that map though), and that's the Trip Mine; the trip mine can pass through the bubble shield and deals enough damage to usually one-shot a player.

Some of the guys didn’t want to run towards sword guy but had no choice because they were getting shot at in the back
