    You always have so many fantastic suggestions. I’m a slimming worlder BUT I have been very curious about calorie counting. I think you are spot on with SW we forget about portion control and with being smaller it can really affect the scales. I don’t think it would do any harm just to do some odd days just to see if we are in a calorie deficit either., think we can lose track because of all the free/speed food we can eat unlimited. I certainly have to watch the carbs now., they are not my best friend anymore if I want to stay lighter! X

    I'm 58 and I've counted calories since I was 17 lol.
    Slimming world wasn't for me, calories are easier, plus I could run away with the free foods. Weight watchers I found was just points instead of calories, and no point to me.
    I always come back to calories, and keep a food diary, trouble is .. I've been counting too many 😂😂😂
    Today, I got weighed, and I'm cutting my calorie intake. Really enjoyed this video, you explain everything so well .. Thank you xx 😘

    Great video, I calorie count and use my Fitbit and scales for my weight and body fat etc. I find this works for me. I tried SW could not get on with it. My sister is on SW it suits her. We are both getting fit and losing weight

    Such a helpful video! I have been wondering about this for ages as I do SW but also track calories and now I feel they can work together rather than having to make a choice between them. Your approach is very inspiring and I am definitely subscribing to your channel.

    Thank you, really enjoyed your take on CC. As you say it's what's right for the individual. I've seen a lot of people do a combo of SW plus CC. In my opinion any eating plan or lifestyle plan which has rules, be it cals, points, syns, A and B, free, speed etc is a diet whether we like to use the dreaded D word or not but there is most definitely a diet out there that will suit everyone, fingers crossed 😀. They will all work...if you follow the rules. You look amazing. x

    I've been an online slimming world member for 3 years lost just under 4 stone. since March of this year I've put on 8lbs. I'm now gluten intolerant as well as dairy intolerant and I'm finding it hard to follow slimming world and eat gluten free foods . Quite tempted to try CC and see if it's more flexible for me . I really do not want to put on anymore weight I wanted to get back to where I was but having to contend with a bloated tummy and finding GF syn heavy it's frustrating. Your such an inspiration Niki thank you for doing the vlogs you do X stay safe X

    I'm back to calorie counting after doing Slimming world for a few years (and Weight Watchers before that) and I do find that its more flexible and, same as you, found that i was eating too much "free food" which was affecting my weight loss. I use Nutracheck app for logging my food and saving recipes for the meals I batch cook.

    Personally I use principals of slimming world but keep in mind portions and cut out the goodies. Done that the past 3wks and lost 11lbs. I think like you say Nikki people just have to find their own way but itz good to talk and share tips. Tfs

    I lost some weight on SW but then I started to plateau and I've now switched to the principles of SW alongside Cc and I really like it! I think I was eating too much on SW, like pasta, rice, potatoes because they are "free" I use nutracheck and you can add meals on there which is so handy. I like the flexibility of cc. Defo agree to add your meals at the start of the day, that helps so much. Great video, thanks for this!

    Ty for a very helpful video. Likewise I have been doing SW for many years, but recently just haven’t been getting on with it, so have started doing CC. I was wondering if you would consider doing some meal ideas/What you eat during the day etc., just to help us with what is good to eat. Also was wondering if you know of any on line fitness videos that can be done sitting down. I have very bad mobility and walking for me is very poor, but I would like to get in some exercise if I can. I did do regular swimming, but that for obvious reasons has had to be put on hold

    Where is your jumper/top from Nikki? It’s absolutely beautiful. Great video. I switched from SW to CC using the Nutracheck app. Game changer. Literally couldn’t believe it. SW is just too flexible for me. Free food doesn’t mean unlimited food as that is where soooo many people go wrong. The second you start seeing how many calories are in something is the second you start taking proper accountability for weight loss because it just gives you that choice of being able to literally eat what you want. No, Big Macs and chips aren’t healthy (I don’t touch MacDonalds anyway) but the point is it really would be a no no on SW as just too many syns but if that’s what you really wanted doing CC, you could easily do it. I’d never go back to SW now, I follow the notion of it, mainly eating speed foods, weighing healthy extras etc but by and large CC is my preference.

    Great vid Nikki. I’m the opposite to the majority of ppl in the comments. I got to target with Sw years ago and maintained it did years. Then lockdown hit and I put loads of weight on. I tried calorie counting but I find it too restrictive and depressing. I’ve gone back to eating the Sw way and it’s working. If I calorie count I’d never choose speed food lol I’d eat chocolate whereas with Sw I will make better choices! Each to their own of course. Xxx

    Calorie counting is fantastic way to loose weight. I follow RH fitness where you count calories but they also give you a goal of fibre , protein for the day.

    Have you thought about 'looking after' a group of people who want to calorie count but also want to be accountable to someone, like a slimming world group but calorie counting.

    Hi Thanks for sharing My twin sister is on calorie counting doing really well. So l try to do it but found it hard at first as i love Slimming world so i decided do slimming world and count the i had on plan found it was much easier Just for a 2 weeks at moment Just doing slimming world 😇❤️and doing good loss 5 lbs in 2 weeks so really happy 😀

    I’ve been trying to do calorie counting alongside slimming world and just can’t get them to work together :( which is a shame as was hoping I could do both depending on what we were eating etc I find SlimmingWorld great for more home cooking especially like stews pasta bakes stuff that isn’t separate

    I’ve never been slimming word and wouldn’t ever need to as i have a calorie app and lost 4 stone by calorie counting in a calorie deficit xx

    SW is great if you have a lot to lose, but like others have said, it doesn’t teach you about nutrition and some of the foods people are scared to eat is ridiculous! I’ve been following the EC Method with Chloe Madeley and it’s amazing. She’s very knowledgeable and her plan is so much cheaper than others. It’s the first plan I have stuck to as I’ve been able to be so free with my food. It’s so lovey to eat bread again and lose weight 😂

    Weight loss is about calories in vs calories out, whether people choose to pay attention to it or not. I find slimming world nuts, you can eat 1000 cals of pasta but it’s fine if you have a third salad with it? 😂 Slimming world is good for people who have tons of weight to lose and can eat more and still lose weight, but for everyone else the ‘free food’ still has tons of calories so you’ll likely eat above your deficit and therefore struggle to lose weight. People genuinely believe ‘free food’ doesn’t count towards your weight so proceed to eat 8 mug shots 3 muller lights and 4 tubs of quark a day haha...

    You look UNREAL, your my go to when I need a kick up the bum. I would do anything to have your body I dont know why I cang stick to a diet the comfort eating, the stress. I want it sooooo bad but why can't I do this :(

    If you want a calorie calculator check out My coach school on google. It’s a free calorie calculator. It’s amazing. Top tip for people using my fitness pal. Make sure you check the nutrition on the packaging when putting it in. Not all of it is correct. ☺️
