We bought this camper in late September from a Blue Compass dealer. We love it. The seats and the TV over the dinette combination work well for us. I wasn't sure about the walkthru bathroom but it really does give a lot of room in the bathroom we didn't have in the separate bathroom. Lots of storage, especially the pantry with the slide out drawers. Full kitchen across the back is great. Yes, the oven is small, but we only use it to bake biscuits, and it works well for that. 10 Cu. Ft. refrigerator is great. We do have a griddle that we cook some meals outside. The shower connections next to the doors on the camp side are extremely nice. What idiots decided to put them on the street side in other brands? Heating and air conditioning work well. Both are very quiet. 60x80 true queen is a big difference for me, and I'm only 5'-9". It was a good choice for us.
Buy rope baskets to store stuff in the kitchen cabinets. Stackable pots&pans like CAROTE, non breakable dishes, etc. That would help the kitchen issue. Love the utensil drawer! Great sofa! Luv pass thru bathroom. LOVE that pantry! So much can go in there! Rack for generator good idea. Bedroom ok -upgrade mattress a must, not great storage in bedroom. Need Lots of hooks! I DO like the RV you bought. Great choice! Good video-thanks!
I would check out the Rockwood 2515 S , it comes with frameless Windows which you can also opt in thermal pane windows if you want plus it has solid surface countertops in the kitchen a bigger 21-22 in, oven , porcelain toilet, maxxair fan in bathroom standard can also option another one in somewhere else, 6 sided aluminum frame, 5/8 plywood tongue and groove floor and if you bought it at Wana RV, in Indiana it would be cheaper, just something to consider
Myles now you video has me doing all this research. Lol. Just wanted to let you know that on Alliance’s website for this specific Trailer you can get it with the (copied from the website) Solar package 30 amp MPPT solar charge controller 400 watt solar panel 3000 watt inverter prep Second A/C and 50 amp service with detachable power cord (mandatory) This should satisfy your 2nd AC concern. In fact looks like this package is available on most of their travel trailers.
@@CaliAAA72 dang… I wish I could have afforded to get one with all these options added. I already bought this exact camper but I could afford the price or to wait for one with these other options that I would like!
@ Hey keep up the good work. Your specifications are so closely to mine. I have a 24 titan. So like you half ton towable is also important. Less than 30 ft, 2 ACs, counter space, and quality are my main points. Thank you for your hard work.
I love the pass-through bath. They make it so much more roomy since they use the full width of the unit. Having a sofa and dinnette in something that short is awesome and rare. Only the Cougar 22MLS and Imagine 22MLE come to mind. A couple areas I'd like to see upgraded, at least as an option, include frameless windows and solid surface countertops. Those thermofoil countertops need to be retired as they're just dreadful. Plastic toilets are a silly joke as well, and that oven is a toy. But that's a great floorplan, and I always like non-Thor and non-Forest River options.
Great trailer! For you, i think toy hauler all the way!. You can get the bike and motorcycle in a safe transport space and adjust your weight between the toy hauler storage and the truck to balance the weight. I think the flash of the trims for living in are great, but the cargo flexibility for the rides and generator on the toy hauler is key.
That’s a NICE one👍👍👍👍👍 I went with the Rockwood 2517s and I pull it with a 2017 Chevy 1500 4x4 no problem at all.. After the first year I got a PP3 hitch for the longer trips so my G/F can drive.
New subscriber. Great video. Maybe you can do a video on what you pack in the truck when you travel. You mentioned a generator. Just wondering if you are traveling in your truck what are you powering with it. Especially when you said in the summer time you use a heavy 300 lb generator. Thanks.
Miles, you know more about these than I do, but I've watched a lot of videos. There's a lot of models I like. I have a 1402 lb payload and 11,300 tow cap, on my 3.5 Ecoboost F150 4x4. The Apex models have really caught my attention.. Aluminum and double Azdel controls the overall & Hitch weights. The most attractive item is the price. There's even a new half ton rear bath with a W/D in it. I wish you'd go do some reviews on the Apex. They half LOTS of half ton floorplans to choose from. The Apex 264 RKS is nice if you like the rear kitchens. I would assume you're aware of them. I actually love the BRRV..
I'm glad Alliance added that brace to the drawer bottoms. All of the brands that use luan drawer bottoms should do the same. Because when the trailer is moving, even a moderate amount of weight bouncing up and down can cause the luan bottom to fail.
Maybe for the heat, for the bedroom, would it be possible to install a overhead fan? If not, maybe a portable fan would work? Those over head, in the ceiling fans really cool down a room when it's hot.
I love this trailer. I do think you'll exceed your payload quickly. You + GF + Dog would be 350lbs est. So you've got 850lbs left. That 600lb tounge is without batteries or propane. Propane is 40lbs each, batteries are around 50 ea. That's 180lbs on the tounge. That puts you closer to 800lb tounge weight. Your payload would be gone.
You bought the perfect RV for you, It's a great choice. But what if you were buying as a couple or family, which RVs do you feel would be good contenders if you were in that market. Put aside price and truck upgrades, your honest opinion if reasonable costs were not an issue.
@@axiomproductions all the brands I often speak highly of in my videos. Rockwood/Flagstaff, Alliance, Brinkley, Keystone Cougar, Jayco Jay Feather or Eagle, and more. There’s lots of very similar and closely related products out there. It’s more so if just finding the one that has all the specific things that you want. Like for me, I couldn’t care less about the outdoor kitchen. Some people that’s not the case. My recommendations will always change based on those specifics.
I'm confused why so many channels show the dry weight instead of the gross weight. You need to know the gross weight to know if your vehicle can tow it correct?
Not exactly. The GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) is the amount of weight total that the trailer is capable of weighing without it being overloaded. The dry weight is going to be the weight of the trailer empty and will tell you first of all if your vehicle is even capable of towing it. You don't have to pull a tailer at its complete loaded up maxed out weight. Better to NOT load it up that much anyway :) However, if your vehicle can tow it maxed, then of course you're also good at anything less. Both numbers can be good depending on what information you want. 👍👍
I am on a similar journey. I’m looking for a max 30ft length trailer. 50 amps capacity, two ACs, lots of counter space. Half ton towable. Those are my four bigs must haves. So hopefully your content will assist me greatly.
Great videos, thanks. I'm surprised on the payload of your truck, seems low for a half ton. 1200lbs? I think my 23' Nissan frontier pro4x is 1100 or so. Prob all that fancy 1794 jazz....
If you are worried about hitch weight, can't you just store all your things in the RV? Perhaps consider a rack to hold your motorcycle on the back of the RV as well.
Unfortunately, both my generator that I take with me that's large enough to power 3 ACs on a hot summer day (which I refuse to film RVs without in the summer) is too big to fit in the RV door. I can put it on a rack on the back bumper, but I'm nervous about it. Those rear hitches are only rated for about 300lbs and my generator is about 250lbs, plus the weight of the rack itself. Any motorcycles I bring will have to go in the bed of the truck because all the motorcycles I own or would want are too heavy for that rear hitch. Unless I find a good street legal Enduro bike I like that's under 250lbs.
It’s a beautiful rig but a big no based on your travel style. Have you looked at the NoBo 19.2 Murphy. All the livability of a 30ft trailer in just 22ft. thanks to the Murphy. I believe all the numbers work with your Tundra and wallet. And yes you can ditch that mattress. An 8inch high end mattress will fold and lock in the sofa position. You can even save more money by looking at its less expensive sisters the Salem and Wildwood 167RBK with a few less bells and whistles. Thanks Myles for all you do.
If you Prayed about it, then go with your heart. The finance aspect will work itself out. You need to Trust & Bellevue.. that’s only if you have not pulled the trigger already??? Hmmmm. Love the work you’re doing. Stay Blessed
I just think you should get a private bathroom And not one in the hallway. They make campers with private bathrooms. Even truck campers with private dry baths. Not a fan of the shower in the hallway. They're having the RV show in San Antonio next month. We went last year and they had a lot of good deals. It's a thought. Thanks for sharing and have a nice day..
30k for single axle less space . 40k duel axle more living space. 10k really not much more than you get with Jayco 18 single axle You’ll regret not getting duel axle.

Wow, great floor plan. I really like it.

Me personally, I would go for the Cougar.
It will definitely do better in cold/hot weather.
I'm more partial to the Keystone cougar myself. It has the U-shaped diner it the back and a lot more counter space.
Convert the trailer bumper to hold the generator.
