Meshuggah has been doing the binary and ternary at the same time thing for a while now, but I don't think they have been doing major and minor scale at the same time. Anyways, the dissonance in the chorus is just perfect.
Neither song is in a major key. Paparazzi is in a minor key, and frankly I'm not sure what "key" Bleed is in since there are so many chromatic shifts taking place, but it certainly isn't a major key.
You can't be critical of a mix like this. This is straight fun. Genius. Any tight ass that would object needs to find another video to watch. Thanks for the fun bro!!!
fucking amazing! the disharmony during the chorus is perfect. you've made every part fit so well and the video seems to go hand in hand with the bleed audio, especially when gaga gets outta the chair, feels like silent hill. XD
This is absolutely brilliant. How you figured out these two songs would fit, idk... They are both the epitome of their respected genres and the videos are equally scary. Well done. \m/(>,
You have made my day friend. The chorus over the Jazz Fusion soloing... EPIC!!! Any chance for the WAV file to be posted again. 160k mp3 kinda crushes the dynamics...
I'm not a newbie to mash ups or music... I love metal.. I have played it with the best.. THIS SONG KICKS ASS... My favorite at the moment.. THANK YOU...
I'd go see this live if it ever happened. this is pretty wicked, i never believed today's pop music could be saved but all it took is sick heavy metal sound to do the trick. so there you go pop artists start contracting heavy metal to do the music and i might pay attention to you.
@Zemed87 I meant to say, even thought I KNOW they're both in 4/4, it's still a trip to see how well they match with no manipulation to pitch or BPM. Sorry for not being clearer.
@Thundermaned from a drummer's perspective, a polyrhythm is a simultaneous playing of two different rhythms that also have two different time signatures. example: 3/4 rhythm played with the feet on the bass drum and hi hat, and a 4/4 rhythm played with the hands on the snare drum and ride cymbal. sometimes, depending on the two time signatures used, it can be very difficult to play. i wouldn't necessarily say polyrhythms in this sense are common, sometimes its just melody vs. harmony.
Hahaha I HATE pop music but this was so cool. Like, not cool as in I would listen to the song regularly, but cool as in the dude who made this did an AWESOME job. This gave me lots of laughs. Good job, guy who made this!
I've listened to it a few times now and I take back what I said about the mixing. It just take some time to get used to. BUT raising the bass on my stereo sure makes everything sound heavier and also makes the music blend better with the vocals.
Meshugaga
With her poppy vocals over such a heavy song it really gives it a dark as feel. love it.
WHY can I not stop listening to this?!
cause its badass
You know... the mashup gives a dark, creepy feel to the video, which makes it strangely appropiate (video has weird shit going on as well).
i love this fucking mash-up so much it's so epic, the best
yepper. my first and fave mashup
I love you!

I'm almost sure it's either B minor or in Ab
Only the solo of Bleed is in Ab minor, everything else is chromatic
Very eerie
i love this so much. i watch it everyday. thank you for combining two of my favorite artists! fabulous :)
"We're plastic but still have.. MY SOOUUUL"
Didn't realise Lady Gaga could be so fucking brutal \m/ Great work dude!!!
I think my skull just exploded unusual awesomeness of this video.
Mt two most favorite songs mixed together =D Awesome job!!

Sounds amazing!
Only Lady Gaga could make Meshuggah bad.
+tetroxide1
No she's the only thing that can make them at all listenable, lol.
+Evan π At least Meshuggah has some musically redeemable qualities in terms of analysis lol
y'all snobs forgot music is subjective lmao
This is brilliant...great upload.
You can't be critical of a mix like this. This is straight fun. Genius. Any tight ass that would object needs to find another video to watch. Thanks for the fun bro!!!
Liking them both. Loving this clip!
This awesome! i could never imagine that the mix was in so good harmony with eachother. Kidmans scream at 2.40 gives me the chills!
fucking amazing! the disharmony during the chorus is perfect. you've made every part fit so well and the video seems to go hand in hand with the bleed audio, especially when gaga gets outta the chair, feels like silent hill. XD
I've probably listened to this 20+ times now over the past few months. I'm addicted.

Two of my favorite artists in 1 song.. niiiice :D
Best point in this song: We're plastic but we'll still have MY SOUL.
this is great! And funny as hell!
Works surprisingly well.
This is GENIUS.
@Pallomember ahahaha cranky cookies...I'm totally using that
It's scary how well this mixes...
I'm not a newbie to mash ups or music... I love metal.. I have played it with the best.. THIS SONG KICKS ASS... My favorite at the moment.. THANK YOU...
This is THE crowning moment of awesome in music.

Please make more. PLEASE!
That riff is soooo metal!
OP deserves his own Grammy for actually making me listen to a fucking lady CaCa song and.......like it .
Epic!
I'd go see this live if it ever happened. this is pretty wicked, i never believed today's pop music could be saved but all it took is sick heavy metal sound to do the trick. so there you go pop artists start contracting heavy metal to do the music and i might pay attention to you.
@Spencer12404 Visual disturbance coupled with acoustic dissonance? Makes perfect sense to me.
DEAR GOD YOU CROSSED THE STREAMS!
This is so fuckin good. Strangely addicting.
hahaha! This is funny, good job dude.
@Zemed87 I meant to say, even thought I KNOW they're both in 4/4, it's still a trip to see how well they match with no manipulation to pitch or BPM. Sorry for not being clearer.
holy shit balls, that was absolutely insane. I think I like it, Mikey.
This makes pop idols way more bearable to listen to.
FINALLY!!!!!!! a GOOD lady gaga song!!!!!! awesome mash-up!
This surprisingly works...good shit
It slightly terrifies me how well this fits together.
@podunkest same im a metalhead myself but i dig a lot of gaga's tunes. cool melodies and eerie shit. its cool.
@Thundermaned from a drummer's perspective, a polyrhythm is a simultaneous playing of two different rhythms that also have two different time signatures. example: 3/4 rhythm played with the feet on the bass drum and hi hat, and a 4/4 rhythm played with the hands on the snare drum and ride cymbal. sometimes, depending on the two time signatures used, it can be very difficult to play. i wouldn't necessarily say polyrhythms in this sense are common, sometimes its just melody vs. harmony.
@misterdumpuz Her voice adds another layer of rhythm to music that already is extremely polyrhythmic.
THIS SONG ACTUALLY HAS A MELODY NOW!!!!
Hahaha I HATE pop music but this was so cool. Like, not cool as in I would listen to the song regularly, but cool as in the dude who made this did an AWESOME job. This gave me lots of laughs. Good job, guy who made this!
@PureHayabusa Yeah, I hear ya. I want to not like it but it flows together so smooth. Nice work.
this is still the greatest mashup ever made. Either of them should put it out commercially and completely alienate half their fanbase
Oh damn, I'm a Lady Gaga fan now! :P
Those metal mashups are fucking amazing!
they fit together pretty well
I think the encyclopedia has to define a new word for AWESOME!
Love it!
Well... I love HALF of it! :p
@Dedpuuuul between usually 50 - 250 bpms in music, thats one in every 200 straight time 4/4 songs matching perfectly for tempo.
Yeah it rocks ! ^^
Thanx for this man... I now have regained hope for humanity.
actually quite enjoy this...........
At first I didn't think I would end up listening to the whole thing, but that haunting chorus just works somehow.
Jesus Christ this is amazing.
I've listened to it a few times now and I take back what I said about the mixing.
It just take some time to get used to.
BUT raising the bass on my stereo sure makes everything sound heavier and also makes the music blend better with the vocals.
awesome. this actually makes pop music acceptable as music now
Lady MeshugGAGAh!
How the hell did you come up with this crazy-ass idea for a mashup??! This is brilliant, lol.
I nearly died when I found this. I haven't laughed this hard in a very long time. God I love Meshuggah.
this... was a fucking excellent idea. the video is also very fitting in a strange way
haha. I laugh at the "we still have MY SOUL!!" part at 2:37.
haha. so awesome!
