2) Having the NFT means ownership like a house deed
Your assets will have a version of a NFT.
When you buy a car, this NFT will link all the data ever recorded on the car on a Blockchain. Built in X factory, registration, insurance group, any work done, updates.
When you get insurance your NFT provides all the car data. When you want to sell your car the NFT will prove its your car.
A car where you can have see every thing in its history Vs a car someone's typed info into a website. Which ones worth more?
It's not like a house at all because I can just copy your digital art. Something that can be replicated virtually for free is virtually worthless.

I used Digg religiously back in the day when it first started and followed Rose from back then...so the story is really cool. BUT I dont think there is much in terms of "applicable information" when it comes to starting businesses...the app Zero had Kevin Rose behind it. He already had a name for himself so surely he has a HUGE leg up just like Wordplay was not a huge success just because...the person who started it and promoted it is a billionaire

No point in locking 10k at 9%, go take some risks.
What Kevin gets wrong about Photoshop and AI is that "moving pixels around with your mouse" IS telling your computer what to do - a more specific (not always optimal) way. Prompt based interfaces can be useful but are not universal to all problems. We will still want photoshop.

His examples for NFT's usages just proved how pointless they are. Definitely didn't help his argument.
On the NFT ticket thing... what if you owned an NFT of a ticket from Michael Jordan's last NBA game? Or from some another famous musicians last concert? THAT perhaps has some value. But a normal ticket? I agree. No use case in most instances.
I thought of that. What is all concert tickets came with an NFT and the artist includes unique content/art/photos from that show that toy can collect.
I remember the day on the Screen Savers when Kevin demoed his little side project digg on the air.
Though, digg 2.0 could have been the worst tactical mistake of all time, opening the door for reddit to step through.

Fiverr nonexistent is a bit woo woo. Maybe for logo gen and basic art gigs. But even then a large number of people will insist on humans for years beyond pragmatism. 56k dial up is still used by millions of users.

I remember watching Kevin Rose on the Screen Savers and then reading about his projects over the years. This was a great episode. I found that the discussion at 57:00 about the intense dogmatic maximalists was spot on. I watch these maximalists, they are entertaining; however, they better be 100% correct if you follow them. I personally like Ethereum because of the network effects and Ethereum's ability to include contracts. I really like the MFM episode where Shaan interviewed Raoul Pal where he made the case for Ethereum. I like decentralized concepts, but I agree that centralized entities should exist alongside.
