This dude seems kinda sketch. I haven’t finished the pod yet, but my 🚨 is dinging. Answer to what I did with the $40M: “I have it” Like, you sill have the “$40M” you got about 4 years ago. Bull. Idk tho
The amount of business knowledge nuggets that this man has dropped in this podcast is incredibly valuable. Take a look at around 52:00 and see the focused attention the hosts gave during this time. Love guests like this.
This guy was entertaining. My storytelling is like "I went to buy a boat" meanwhile he's describing the curtains on the walls for 10 mins (im exaggerating) and i enjoy every part
Man, if I sold a business for $40mil in my twenties, you’d find me retired lounging around in sweatpants all day everyday. This dude has a drive to find his next business quest.
When was this recorded? Talking about there not being Uber Boats, and Uber boats should come by 2020. Not sure about in the States, but in the UK they've had Uber Boats for a while.
You can tell this guy is just adding a lot of cheese across all his stories and he has been rehearsing his storylines for years in preparation to get on the pod
There’s more to this guy than what’s on this podcast. His story doesn’t start with him plowing snow. There’s gotta be more to his family history. He skips over the details regarding the software development. To have the mind and earn 50k over a season at 15-16 is not some throw away note. Also, he’s well read, I’m sure… I hung on to his every word on his riverboat story. We need deeper dive into what made this guy tick, click, snap, crackle and pop.
Shady Gator’s is Shady! Somehow burned down and got built back bigger twice in like 5 years. Sent my buddy the info on water taxi’s, consider it done! He is already in that domain.
Can you please ask your guests about the parents, education, who paid for college, do they know how to code, if not how they did it? How much money they had for their first project, second project, etc?
Great episode, and Sam is a fun dude to listen to. But why wasn't the question asked how he managed to code a whole online responsive mobile CASINO from SCRATCH?! How did he know the skills? Did he do it alone? If not, where did he find the programmers? How did they know how to build a CASINO? So many questions unanswered!
Phenomenal way to start the start the year gentleman. One of my goals this year (believe it or not) is to watch ALL MFM episodes from very beginning at Ep 1. So be on the lookout for me sharing personal breakthroughs on each episode, @shaan & @sam. Happy New Year.
felt like Shaan didnt appreciate him as much as other super performer guests from the past... why the heck is that @Shaan? "Ty for coming on, you're fun..." srsly? that's it??? 😂
Not only is he out for the strange opportunities but he is recycling the main objects of a business. Why haven’t anyone decided to start generic vending machines?
The best episodes are when Sam is resting his head on his hand and looking dreamily at the guest, his gaze is completely fixed on every word.
LOL. You've got me dialed in. I have a problem with dreamy staring. I'm thanking the youtube editors don't show it all.
Lol😂
Could also be the side effects of the Snus he's using ;)
I was in high school speech class with Sam and I remember when he talked to us about his snow plow business. Wild to see how far he's gone [already]!
The dude is a natural born entrepreneur.
That's rad awesome cool.
The best way to start the new years!! A blue collar MFM episode!🎉🎉
I love the blue collar ones
This dude seems kinda sketch. I haven’t finished the pod yet, but my 🚨 is dinging.
Answer to what I did with the $40M: “I have it”
Like, you sill have the “$40M” you got about 4 years ago.
Bull.
Idk tho
Also added that he raised capital. I’m sure they wanted a return, so he didn’t get the full 40. Sounded a bit sketchy.
The boat story was amazing! And this guy's due diligence level is mind-blowing 🤯
I don’t comment often, but this fits the Mfm brand so well. Great guest
I listened to this on my phone when driving... had to come here and say this episode was great! Sam's story is fascinating.
The amount of business knowledge nuggets that this man has dropped in this podcast is incredibly valuable. Take a look at around 52:00 and see the focused attention the hosts gave during this time. Love guests like this.
My three favorite channels: My First Million, Stock Brotha, & How Money Works. Make my week complete! 🔥 🔥 🔥
Loved this one y'all This guy is smart.
Amazing guest with incredible stories, I think he almost goes one-up on shaan with his story telling skills. You guys are the best, keep it up.
This guy was entertaining. My storytelling is like "I went to buy a boat" meanwhile he's describing the curtains on the walls for 10 mins (im exaggerating) and i enjoy every part
This is one of those episodes which you want to listen to over and over again. Sam Rattner’s way of processing info and the way he thinks is amazing.
maybe i'm wrong but i don't trust this guy for some reason. cap radar is beeping ...
Best guest in a while. Dude is fascinating
This guy definitely crossed paths with Byrde’s family
One of my favourite episodes so far. Sign me up for the SP Fellowship, you don’t need to worry about the flyers
Focus. And loved how he started w/ cc which is relatable.
One of the best episodes in a long time, I love the way this guy thinks
Sam Rattner gives me early Bezos energy. He is going to do very well.
Hands down one of the best episodes. This guy makes me want to do due diligence on everything. 😄🙌
I Listened to this in the morning. Best of the year so far. The Boat story is great!
I love the guest. Refreshing take. He’s like Shan’s long lost genius little big brother.
Absolutely enjoyed this episode
Long story short, that was a great ep!
Happy New Year!
This guy is awesome but 27yrs old? Building those businesses must of taken a toll he looks 40 🤦🏻♂️
Yes 🙌🏻
What a gem, this dude is super interesting/smart and undoubtedly will hit it out the park.
Always hugely fascinating to hear stories of early age entrepreneurship. Running a snow plough business at 16. Why?
Cause he could.
why kids do lemonade stand?
Incredible boat story!
Man, if I sold a business for $40mil in my twenties, you’d find me retired lounging around in sweatpants all day everyday. This dude has a drive to find his next business quest.
yeah for like 6 months then you would be bored to death and back to doing something
The goal is to not work but work for something you like doing.
Lewiston, Idaho has 34 thousand people.
There are grocery stores and there's a Dollar General.
One of just 2 in Idaho, at this time.
No matter what he ends up achieving, having sold a business that had not yet even scaled before 25 for 40 bar is winning!
I am hooked on all these! Such awesome information each time and entertaining!🎉🎉
Sam Rattner is incredibly intelligent and self aware. Where can I find find? And what form of media he read or listen to?
Did we see Sam casually throw in a zynnaccino at 47:41 lol
Sam's random one liners are the funniest thing. Great episode!
Love this episode! 😁
One of your best so far guys!!❤
When was this recorded? Talking about there not being Uber Boats, and Uber boats should come by 2020. Not sure about in the States, but in the UK they've had Uber Boats for a while.
Not avaliable in the states at all but yeah idk where 2020 came from maybe 2030 and they just said it wrong
You can tell this guy is just adding a lot of cheese across all his stories and he has been rehearsing his storylines for years in preparation to get on the pod
How so? He’s crazy eloquent, clearly someone who talks a lot
double edged sword. one man's eloquence is another man's boosterism. It's like when the marketing site is a little _too_ slick
This was a brilliant episode
Do we believe this guy?
Right!!! Just what I was thinking. Super sketch
I'm wondering the same thing
No. Does not feel genuine. Definitely large amounts left out of the story.
Probably mostly true, but feels like daddy's money/connections was conveniently left out of the conversation
Guys in tye comment saved me an hour. Seems like the guy is not 100% honest in the story 😂
Way to go, Rattner!! There is a unique world and economy in everything- even duck calls. 😉
It was a Great Episode
Shaan, don't small boy Rattner with the "thanks for coming on, you're...fun." :)
GREAT guest!
Bring it to Nashville, sounds awesome
One of the best pods
The riverboat story is awesome - reminds me of Palmer Luckey's Australian military boats
I liked the thumbnail! Success leaves clues. That is most people watch those videos.
he is a freakin' machine! love it!!!
-WP Engine- WP Begginer (talk with Syed Balkhi) and A. Wilkinson are still the two only insightful and inspiring guests so far. HAPPY NEW YEAR Y'all!
The only? Please elaborate 😊
Wait ...had Jason Cohen been on MFM?
Jason has never even been on the pod tho
Jason's a bud of mine, we'll have him on@@oldschoolpanels
@@oldschoolpanels I beg your pardon; I meant to say WP Beginner (Episode 486) founder Syed Balkhi.
My front teeth are also at the bottom of the lake of the Ozarks with those GoPro’s. I’ll never forget that party trip 🙄
oh fun, just a few minutes in and i hear vernon hills, mundelein... i lived in grayslake 20 years bro 💪 fun pod already
Love the episode :) happy new year ^^

The value is in the duck calls.
Woah are they deleting negative comments now?
Sam's nonchalant Zyn endorsement 😂
Happy New Year, gentlemen 🤝
Shady Gator’s is Shady! Somehow burned down and got built back bigger twice in like 5 years. Sent my buddy the info on water taxi’s, consider it done! He is already in that domain.
#boatplanet
Memphis Tennessee podcast mention beautifully done
The bestest episode.
this guy is amazing!
Happy New Year everyone!
He looks like a Shark. Great pod 🔥
Didn't they already post this? I could've sworn I've seen this last year.
Can you please ask your guests about the parents, education, who paid for college, do they know how to code, if not how they did it? How much money they had for their first project, second project, etc?
This was a good one
This pod will inspire a lot of kids to dropout.
Great episode, and Sam is a fun dude to listen to. But why wasn't the question asked how he managed to code a whole online responsive mobile CASINO from SCRATCH?! How did he know the skills? The jump to raising capital and yada yada regulators is confusing.
MFM 2024 LETTSS GOOOO!!!!💥🤑🔥
Did you upper decker that Zynbabwe Sam? lol
6:00
6:51-7:10
What are those little 'thumbs up clouds' for?
this guy is awesome
I want to know how Mom and Dad took to this drop out and his success.
This episode was a banger 🦆☎️
Super dope
Shaan, get TrustAnalytica CEO on the podcast
It is so much easier in the USA to start a business....some things he said are impossible to do in Europe,.
This guy needs to be the new Andrew Wilkinson please
After listening to Rattner I realized I gotta shift gears.
Sam Rattner îs very interesting. Great podcast
Like this comment if you want this guy as a regular, the new Andrew Wilkinson.
felt like Shaan didnt appreciate him as much as other super performer guests from the past... why the heck is that @Shaan? "Ty for coming on, you're fun..." srsly? that's it??? 😂
My take away was for once Shaan didn't monopolize the conversation and let the guest talk. Maybe he isn't feeling well today.
What's Sam ratner's twitter? More pods of him available?
Can’t believe he is only 27!
This was this neckbeards superbowl. He has been prepping every minute of all these embellished stories and begging for his chance to get on. Respect
does Nikola Jokic really want to play basketball? probably not, it just pays the bills. would I do the same? yes! 😂
🚀🚀🚀
Shane Gillis on MFM
Is this Midwest Chamath?
Not 1st
Not only is he out for the strange opportunities but he is recycling the main objects of a business. Why haven’t anyone decided to start generic vending machines?
Bro does NOT look 27 😂
Hey Sam you should buy Booches in Columbia... 🍔
