Banter: 100, Stories: superb, Vibe: seamlessly cool, Sam’s hair: sleek, Shaans wisdom: “big little things”Thanks for spreading joy & knowledge to the world.
Top ideas from the pod: - Little big details (website blog). Swipe file of examples of small things that companies did well. Its the small details, the moments in between the moments that matter. - Shaan's CEO friend joking about business twitter: He asks, 'Why is this entrepreneur telling me that they make so much money so easily by doing something so very trivial and hands-off?' Then he says, 'It's either not as hands-off as it seems, it doesn't make that much money, or we are all idiots because it really is that hands-off and makes that much money.' - Step back from your business for 8 hours of reflection; that pause to observe can unlock the clarity and big-picture perspective essential for long-term success. - Rather than idolizing others, focus on cultivating your own excellence. Do remarkable things, earn respect, and rise to the level you admire.
Couple of months back Shaan has said something about helping out his personal trainer to get a newsletter business running centred around fitness. Would be super cool to get an update on how that is going!
he gave it a try for a couple weeks, but it didn't fit for him. Writing a daily newsletter can be a grind, and was probably too much to jump into for someone who never created content before. It would be like if he had me do a murph my first day at the gym!
Codie seems to lean more into the fact that you can buy MULTIPLE operations due to the surplus of "boomer businesses" with little desire to be passed down. I don't think she's ever said she made a million off one laundromat but rather millions off of the surplus of easy to acquire laundromat's. Her networth has increased exponentially by acquiring easy ran, easily acquired businesses that cash flow. They may not be profiting millions but they are adding millions to her networth.
She's been on here before. But she's probably made more money selling her courses and growing her personal brand than the supposed boring businesses that she owns.
@shaan you nailed it about veneers at 29:36 . 20 year + cosmetic dentist in Atlanta . The best cosmetic dentists in the world are actually the most conservative with your tooth structure . I agree with you - two categories 😂😂 Everyone should get them !
@@MyFirstMillionPod you unfortunately see photos of hack jobs. In certain cases though the teeth might have had to been reduced like fangs because of decay. In most cases though- you see this aggressive style of dentistry done by dentists who aren't doing veneers all day, every day . Shaving down teeth like that is "old school" because that's what the materials from the lab needed (room). Nowadays the materials have advanced to where the dentists should be as conservative as possible .
Shaan, I had a deviated septum too. Got the surgery and changed my life. Now I can breathe through my nose and I don't sound like Darth Vader. 100% worth it.
the funny thing is that I discussed yesterday with a friend on the who is speaking part and we realized that we need to find a way to know when the other person will speak :))
Shaan would love to see you more .. please do more podcast of all sort not just finance even personality traits . Confidence , enthusiasm sort of concept based podcast it would be helpful ..
Can someone please help me remember the website that they mentioned in the past that basically archives and categorizes a significant number of newsletters?
Yo Sam, Ray Lewis never killed anybody. C'mon with that nonsense. He's a legend here in Baltimore. That said the whole deer antler spray thing was great. I remember memes saying "deers put Ray Lewis spray on to recover faster" 😂 and I did see Bucked Up at GNC recently. Had no idea it was connected. Thanks for the heads up... ps. You guys should go in on Ghost supplements. It's an interesting story. Their ready to drink supplement line of energy drinks is blowing up lately. Really catching on.
That question of flow in conv iv wondered about and had it figured 75%. Yes cuz u get to edit etc...i know a bit about vid production among other things. I dont think i should be applying for the content promoter position altho ...id def like to colab, when thats appropriate...if i dont go sailing into some other sunset...and yes you guy have something really special as iv said before. Great Vibe!
that ceo turn around segment doesn't make sense though ? over staffing should show up as operation margin issue rather than product unit margin issue. Unless the product/service need additional staffing for each unit of service/product. If they are losing money per customer, then their unit margin should be negative and no amount of firing people will fix that. Or is the company some kind of manual labor service and they put too much labor per unit product ?
I love how often you mention OF 😅 As someone in the adult entertainment industry, I can attest to how often people overlook the income potential. I'm only 25 with a net worth approaching 1 million, and it is really remarkable that I was able to make that happen from just my body, my ability to connect to others, and a bit of business-sense!
Noo the podcast is genuinely great , simply as it is. You are going to ruin it. I am already seeing it, molded for a Z gen with overlaped images and videos, memes, “crunchy” sounds. So sorry to hear that
Great episode. Would love to be your producer. I helped product the “4.0 Solutions” UA-cam channel and podcast from scratch. I’m working on running my company right now though. You will find someone great; what an awesome opportunity.

But you're deep in your fitness goal journey right Shaan? We should be seeing you do Murphs by now!@@MyFirstMillionPod
Need to get Codie Sanchez on the pod to explain the laundry business. She claims to have made millions.
She has been on before, but would definitely be cool to see again

QUINOA is pretty dope, fonio & millet are super grains too.
LA is exactly like that lol I hate / love it at the same time. Maybe I just need veneers 🤔😂
31:19 I find hilarious the idea of someone doing a SWOT analysis on getting a nose job or not 😂
Next time you in LA you should meet up w the VC firms - think you will have a less superficial view of LA
"It's the main problem with my performance, it needs to be enhanced." hahahaha

What happened to producer Ben? Why are you trying to replace him?
They said goodbye to him in one of the last 3 pods i forget which. He left the team to go focus on his podcast
