  • This is a invention by me years ago (I wouldn't call it a composition). A marsh like jazz piece strongly focused on a single note (F). As usual a swinging/walking bass middle piece.
    DISCLAIMER
Beware! If you are looking for a clean, educated and polished jazz performance, you will be seriously disappointed. I am no pro, nor ever got paid for a performance (and I think nobody ever will - except for a free drink sometimes ...).
I do not care about hitting some wrong keys, I do not care about classical rules about playing the jazz piano (partially because I never was seriously interested in them).
My aim is to make it for you fun to hear as well as for me fun to play based on a very personal and unbiased interpretation. Interested? Listen on...
    RECORDING AND EQUIPMENT
You are hearing one of the first digital pianos ever built - a YAMAHA Clavinova from the early 90s. I bought this in 1993 and - as you will see - am playing it without any mercy. The mechanics of this instrument is a wonder of sturdiness. There is no sign of any weakening or technical problems. The analog-out sound (a hybrid of synthesis and samples as those days there was only small RAM/ROM available) was recorded directly in Audacity. No sound processing was done. Video was recorded with a Sony NEX and then matched to the sound track in kdenlive. Production was done entirely in linux.
    LAST: ENJOY!
Lean back - have fun and be tolerant to my limited skills and free interpretation - ... and enjoy!
