I always was loyal to Xbox and would get a little jealous when I'd see the exclusives the PlayStation would have. Now I've switched to a PS5 and when I bought it the guy in the store basically said Xbox is more for multiplayer gamers and Playstation is the better fit for people like me that prefer the story-driven single player games. So if you're only going to get one that probably should be the main deciding factor for you. Sometimes days or weeks pass and I don't play any games. But I definitely use the streaming apps and other media capabilities every day
That mindset stemmed from when halo was at its peak and all the biggest multiplayer titles were available on there. Nowadays all your biggest multiplayer experiences are multi platform.
@@slickbill9488 I have both consoles and they're practically the same. I guess gamepass is good, but I have PC so I can just play Xbox exclusives on the PC..Idk man
@@slickbill9488what does Xbox live so different that makes it better? Ps plus monthly games is a better deal than gold and has been ever since Xbox focused more on gamepass than Xbox gold. Gamepass is a little better than ps plus I’ll give u that. None have server crashes like in the day of ps3 and 360. Objectively, both online function identically. People say Xbox is more multiplayer, because their first party games almost always have a multiplayer online mode, which is only occasionally with Sonys first party games 🏃🏻
Amen to that, I just got done play MOH highway to hell, phyconauts & KoTor 1 just started Kotor 2, & manhunt. Man I forgot what a genuinely fun game was. Unfortunately that’s a sign of a bad selection of games on the Microsoft catalog though. Starfield was a letdown for me. If I was a big gamer like I was in my teen years in this present day I’d be leaning towards PS.
I’ve owned both for about a year and a half and I find them both to be great consoles. Yet I find myself playing the PS5 about 80-20 compared to the Series X. I simply find the content more compelling and prefer the controller.
Can't get used to the Xbox controller, I have a PS5 and Series S and the S collects dust because I guess I have the PS controller button layout printed in my DNA, I had only PS consoles starting with PS1, this is my first Xbox. The nicest feature by far is the quick resume if you shuffle between games often.
What sucks about Series X is they cut backward compability feature not long ago. They did last ones the top requested and not doing anymore. Will probably do same on next one as well, but we won't see Saints Row 1-2 and plenty other games from X360.
I’ve enjoyed both the Series X and PS5 a great deal. I do give a slight nod to the PS5 overall, though - the exclusives on the PS5 are incredible. Wonderful hardware either way though.
@@musclecargarage2875 soon to be more, and these 1-2 are a huge deal. Remember that the breaking point of Switch is ultimately 2 zelda games, 1 mario and 1 fighting game and its one of the most sold console

The better choice between PS5 and Xbox Series X is a matter of personal preference and depends on individual needs and preferences. Both consoles offer high-quality gaming experiences and cutting-edge technology, and the choice between them will come down to the type of games you like to play, the features you value most, and your budget. Here are a few factors to consider when choosing between the two: Game Library: PS5 has a strong library of exclusive games such as Demon's Souls, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. Xbox Series X has a lineup of exclusive games such as Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, and Fable. Online Services: Xbox Series X has Xbox Game Pass, a subscription-based online service that offers access to a large library of games, while PS5 has PlayStation Now, which also offers access to a library of games. Performance: Both consoles offer high-performance gaming experiences with fast load times and high-quality graphics, but the Xbox Series X is more powerful and offers more processing power. Price: Xbox Series X is the same price as the PS5, with a retail price of $499, PS5 has a retail price of $499 for the standard edition. Ultimately, the choice between PS5 and Xbox Series X will come down to your personal preferences and the type of games you like to play. Both consoles offer high-quality gaming experiences and cutting-edge technology, and the best choice will depend on your individual needs and preferences
You missed out backwards compatibility and emulation. The Series X has awesome BC with HDR enhancements and fps boosts to classic games. Also, emulation. The Series X can emulate every PS1, PS2, PSP, Wii, GameCube, Game Boy, Dreamcast, SEGA, Atari, nes…etc game. All can be played with great quality and enhancements like reshaders, upscaled resolution and HD texture packs. It’s crazy that you can play every PS1/PS2 game on Series X but not on PS5.
Extremely well edited video! I'm impressed. I bought both consoles this week, just waiting on the X to show up from the Microsoft store. PS5 has been killing it. The bar is high for the X.
I have series x. Its the best. Controller specializes on fps games and exclusives on online multiplayer. Gonna buy a ps5 this week too so i can play offline 1 player sony exclusives like god of war and horizon west🔥
@@OGkush69x I say no chance the controller is better, I have both and lets be honest there is about zero change between the xbox one and series controller, the PS5 controller with it's haptics is superior in every way. Gamepass is great but let's be honest the games they have released are not great, Halo? Redfall? They pale in comparison to the quality games Sony is pushing out. Look I have both consoles, I pay for gamepass but Microsoft really missed the mark and Sony's arrow hit.
@@jonnymohawk and i say no chance ps5 controller is better. I have both. I use the ps controller for sony games only because i fee thats how the studio intended the game to be played. But almost no game uses these “haptics” . While playing call of duty mwII ps5 controller is horrible. Its more of a casual controller. Triggers feel plasticy and the analog is in the wrong place.
@@jonnymohawk also comparing halo to anything sony has is apple to oranges. Sony has not fps games. None. Much less multiplayer games. Sony only make 3rd person story offline exclusives. The only one i care to play is god of war and spiderman. But those are quick one and done type games. Elden ring is pretty dope but its on xbox so i really dnt ever turn on my ps5 cause not into story game. I love fps and multiplayers. Like halo, gears, forza. Future fallout games are gonna be lit, fable 4, starfield. All only on xbox babyy🔥 also ps5 and xbox are already struggling to run next gen games like gotham knights. Pc is always best. I use my gaming pc to play gow , miles morales, horizon and they run/look way better then what weak ps5 can, even cod MW looks way better on my pc then on xbox too. But yeah bro play with whatever makes you happy bro. If 1 player jap story games like demon slayers and final fantasy are your thang enjoy👍
@@OGkush69x I would argue that every ps5 game is using the haptic feedback or the adaptive triggers in some capacity. Some games are implementing it better than others of course but having it is just a plus in my opinion. I really like it. And what makes you say that Redfall is made by a Sony studio? That's far from the truth.
I bought the PlayStation 5 before about the Xbox series X. After I play both of them I think the Xbox series X is better than the PlayStation 5. One reason is it's actually backward-compatible can play older games. The fact that I can play a lot of Xbox 360 games is awesome. It has more teraflops which means it has more frames per second. There's more games that support 120 frames. They're both fast but the Xbox series X is the fastest console up-to-date. I was playing an old Xbox 360 game and it only took eight seconds to load the entire game from after the advertisement came on the game. And it's really smooth I love the Xbox series X it's the best Xbox it's my favorite console ever. The controller is really great also
Yeah great point about the 360 games and backwards compatibility. I still put in my disc of Halo 3 from time to time to play multiplayer through Discord, which is much easier than pulling out my old 360
@@JasonDuaineHahn I never got the red ring of death ever I played that Xbox 360 so much so I was doing well and I bought both a PS5 and Xbox series X within a month apart

But im a gamer at heart so im gonna buy a ps5 just to play god of war and horizon west and other 1 player offline sony exclusives. Best of both worlds. All words cause i also have a switch but they been lagging on new games.
I have both, got the Series X at launch and got the PS5 on a second wave launch which required me to buy an online bundle through gamestop. I have way more games on access on the xbox with Gamepass, though I've always gone Playstation over xbox in the past. Now that I have both, I do feel when it comes to exclusives PS5 wins, I also plan to get Starfield on PC over xbox.
@@larrytate1657 Starfield, Hellblade 2, Redfall, Planet of Lana, Age of Empires IV and Forza Motorsport with S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 and Ark 2 as timed exclusives. Then Avowed, Fable, Everwild, State of Decay 3 and The Outer Worlds 2 likely coming in 2024.
PS5s UI resolution is much better looking than the Xbox Series. Unfortunately with a PS5 one does feel very isolated since they eliminated all Community groups and there's very little emphasis on friends. At least with my Xbox i can relate with others much more easily and can immediately know when my buddies are online.
I own both and if I were to rate them I would break it down this way. Series X has way better backwards compatability it has Gamepass and is smaller. Sony has better exclusives as of right now, but that is changing soon. The PS5 controller has made improvements from the PS4, but I still prefer the Xbox controller. I can't really say one is better than the other as they are both really good. Only issue I have had with PS5 is finding several games that are performing very bad from backwards compatability and Sony needs to fix these issues. It seems Sony rushed it out the door and has not given much thought on improving it as of yet. If I had to choose only one. I would keep my Series X because I have a huge library of older games and I love how it upconverts them. To each there own. It is better to own both so save your money and buy both.
While I truly do respect your opinion I would just like to say that for me personally the Series X controller doesn’t even come close to what the dualsense offers. I see a lot of people vouch for it in terms of comfort but I find both of them pretty similar in that… it’s just a person to person thing. For me the dualsense is just leagues better. As for issues with compatibility I’m sorry you experienced that. I’ve only experienced that once since having mine since November 2021. I think it’s more of just a preference for single player or multiplayer games when it comes to choosing which console… at least that’s what I based my decision on.
@@armsid In terms of singleplayer games, Xbox has exclusives like Hellblade 2, Starfield, Avowed, Fable, Perfect Dark…etc coming soon and future Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Doom, Wolfenstein, Dishonored…etc games will likely all be Xbox exclusives as well now Microsoft owns those IPs. So if you’re choosing for singleplayer games then Xbox is a strong option.
The Xbox one and Xbox series X controllers are fat and nice and comfortable in my hands like Nintendo Switch pro controller. I am now on Nintendo Switch way more because of the convenience of mobility and TV docked. It saves me money from duplicating purchases of physical games for on the go and for home. Also, several triple A titles are available not just Super Mario games.
It comes down to the games. PS5 is the better choice for right now however Microsoft is buying up developers like crazy so things could change. You can't go wrong with either.
I have to say I love everything about your editing and presentation style-- a balanced mix of funny and informative. You've earned yourself a subscriber!
No mention of the horrendous stick drift of ps5 controllers? I baby them, and all four I’ve owned stick drift. All I play is madden and MW2. I know 2 other people who have ps5s and experienced these same issues. They are by far the least durable controllers I’ve ever seen. I also own a series S and X. I play MW2, Forza and Halo on these controllers. I’ve never had a problem with them ever. Might not be breaking a mold in innovation but I’ll take that over controllers not lasting 6 months. Also streaming to twitch is much much easier on Xbox. Sony almost goes out of their way to make it difficult on the ps5.
I was firmly in Playstation camp until this gen, Sony deciding to move Playstation HQ to California during PS4 era made me completely lose interest in it, as most of the exclusives became samey "cinematic" games like Last of Us(Which I always considered seriously overrated, even the first one I had to force myself to finish). Their seeming hatred of Japanese studios, by closing all of their own and demanding censorship from third-party ones also made me dislike the direction Americans were taking Playstation in. Not to mention 70$ games were initially an idea of Jim Ryan, CEO of Playstation, and only after no one resisted it much everyone else have adopted it as new standard price. All of that is why this gen I decided to get Xbox Series X, and I'm honestly really happy with it, Gamepass and Backwards compatibility are amazing features, and I certainly appreciate their recent turn to release more Japanese games on the console, even though they will need a lot more time to truly gain trust of Japanese devs and gamers, especially after Playstation effectively betrayed them the moment it started being controlled from US.
From a glance the Xbox marketplace seems far superior to the PS marketplace. Sony need to hurry up and make available their back catalogue of games available to DL like the Xbox has done . Also PS market is jam packed with shovelware. Just this endless page after page of vomit followed by a descent game.
For me,the fact that i can play all (or the most) games that i had on the 360,was the go to. I own a PS4 pro and I wanted to buy a PS5 but in the end, replaying my 360 games and the previous generation games with FPS boost that the PS5 lacks (like Prey, Dishonored,Fallout 4 and so on,games that were VERY underwhelming on the PS4),made my choice very happy. I'm a proud owner of a series x and thus far I'm very happy with it! Nonetheless I would have liked to play Days Gone and GOW on a PS5 with 60 FPS but hey, maybe in the future I'll get that too!
@@JasonDuaineHahn I liked playing the original injustice game which is Xbox 360 on my series x and prefer playing my fighting games on it and the forza series . @@mustafab.5261 Yeah but if you had 100 Xbox 360 games, its good to know that you can play most of them on Xbox Series X. Whereas you can't play any PS3 games you own on PS5. People still play the older generation games. Plus Microsoft have enhanced them.
ps5 with gaming pc is my choice since almost every xbox games are on pc too... shame that ps5 doesnt have so good backwards compatibility like Xbox, i would like to play some older games from ps3
This video is perhaps the best I've seen on UA-cam. So many Xbox Series x vs. PS5's are biased towards one of the consoles rather than giving an even review. Thank you very much. I have a PS5 and your review was stellar and fair on the pros and cons of each console. I will have to say that with Microsoft allowing GamePass to be on everything including a Samsung TV they are kind of shooting themselves in the foot because they're not giving people a serious reason to have to buy the Xbox Series X. I think Sony's approach is more console-centric. There are people who have a gaming PC's who will buy the PS5 for the exclusives and use GamePass on the PC. That's a lost sale for the Xbox Series X which gives developers even less of a reason to bother developing for Xbox.
Now Microsoft's focus is on Xbox Game Pass, and Xbox has no other outstanding features, so this will really affect the sales of Xbox to some extent. After all, xgp can be accessed by PC, mobile phone and Samsung TV
Great video. I decided on getting the Xbox series X for the game pass ultimate which allowed me to play games on my PC and Xbox or the cloud with the same save file. I was considering to get the PlayStation 5 but the design and lack of games taking advantage of the haptic feedback made me reconsider my decision. For those who are trying to decide one console or the other just decide either you want an good immersive experience playing games that do support the PlayStation 5 features or a good gaming service that let you play on nearly any device and a lot of backwards compatibility to older games. Both consoles are powerful therefore no need to compare tech specs.
Playstation is great for single player game immersion, specially with the PS2 VR headset and the PlayStation controller. I enjoy playing games with my friend on his PlayStation 5. @@nochillz44
My dilemma is I have been with PlayStation for a while now. However, I only have enough to get one system and I think I’m going with Xbox this year. Just the fact that they bought the rights to the Bethesda is huge. That along with the game pass is why I am switching to Xbox.
I have the same dilemma. I'm a big fan of Skyrim & fallout 4. But I also really like the PlayStation trophy system. Achievements on Xbox is rubbish. The interface is extremely messy too. I just can't choose!
@@joegreenwood86 well the PlayStation system is just a better system in my opinion. And I have always thought that ever since I had two different 360s back in the day that got the red ring of death. Yet I’ve had the same PlayStation 4 for years and it’s still running great. Most of my friends are on PlayStation as well. But Xbox owning rights to Bethesda is huge!
I have a PC so Microsoft owning Bethesda means nothing to me. Taken on their own accounts the only way I can see someone preferring Xbox is if they want to simply plug the system in and play with no thought or care for customization or personalization to your system and assuming you REALLY want Gamepass. But if that's not you then having a PS5 and a PC just makes too much sense to do anything else.
You won't be disappointed with a xbox. I'm considering getting a ps5 this year because I want to play Spiderman games lol. Had the series x since the launch date and now I'm desperate for a Spiderman game and God of War
I'm really enjoying my time with the PS5 but I really wanna see Xbox succeed. I don't own an Xbox right now but my most wanted game is Starfield. It just really looks like a game I'd enjoy. I'd rather play it than anything coming to PS
Started the gen with series s and ps5 and quickly changed the Xbox for the x so I could pick up cheap physical games of titles I loved. My ps5 still gets most time because of trophies. Since my collection is there I feel like I might as well play third party games on ps5 to add to my collection. May have been different is I wasn't so invested as I still feel the portability of the series s should be considered a feature since it's so easy to take the console on trips
I bought both this time around. Loved the PS3 and the 360 but didn’t bother with the PS4. Bought a PS4 Pro solely for the PSVR but sold it after a year. I did like some planned exclusives by Sony so bought a PS5 but in my opinion m, Xbox achievements are far superior to PS trophies with the latter only having 3 different levels - where gamerscore points vary from easy 5 point achievements with no max. Plus having gamerscore as a single score opposed to how many trophies of each type works better too. No. 2 The Xbox Elite controller with its trigger locks, adjustable stick height and travel resistance as well as the 4 assignable paddles have been a game changer in games - no more taking your thumb off the aiming thumb stick to jump etc. However the standard controllers for both systems are great. Game pass is awesome too. £10 a month for roughly 450 games is a steal. In conclusion, I like both consoles - A LOT. But… if it was not for PS5 exclusive titles the time I’d use it compared to the Xbox SX would be a lot less. As for my Xbox, I use it everyday and accounts for probably about 90 - 95% of my console gaming. They both kick ass though. Anyhoo, just my opinion.
PS5 has their own “resume activity” feature on their system but doesn’t work as well as quick resume in my opinion. At least as from my perspective since most of my games on ps5 are physical copies instead of mainly going digital with gamepass on my Xbox series X
If Sony would just mandate that every game implement a “resume last save” Activity, which a few games have already added, it would be just as good as Xbox quick resume, potentially better, because it wouldn’t have all of the usually network-related bugs that can come about on Xbox quick.
As someone with a horrible internet connection I chose ps5 and I’m very happy that I did. The only thing I feel that I’m missing is backwards compatibility but honestly with the exception of a handful of games older games are hard for me to go back too. Most of them feel so dated when I try to go back and play them. If you don’t have a very good internet connection and are in a situation we’re your going to mostly play single player I can’t recommend ps5 enough. With my limited internet I only use it to update certain games for the ps5 enhancements like far cry 5 or other games that can be updated to take advantage of improved frame rates and resolution. Besides updating games here and there or system updates I’m exclusively a single player gamer and I’m more than satisfied with my ps5. But I will admit I’m jealous about star field because I love those exploration type games but honestly star field and halo aren’t enough to make me get an Xbox. I’d rather just build a PC.
It's true, Sony does have better first party exclusives, that goes without saying, but Game Pass is unbeatable value. As a subscription service it has far more games and even added fps boost to bunch of titles which you didn't mention. I have PS Plus Extra as well which is cool, and I was able to enjoy games like Returnal and Stray without paying full price, but I find myself using Game Pass more and cancelling my PS Plus subscription intermittently. Xbox just need to update their UI and controller to be more next-gen.
Went today to costco put the ps5 in the cart but then i put it back as nothing on ps5 interest me other than Spiderman. I used to like Sonys titles but they are all the same walking simulator third person single player action adventure. On the other Hand i have a series X and other than game pass i also have stopped playing it. I think the industry as a whole is dead either that or i grew out of gaming. The 360 ps3 imo was the last good generation. People can say quality all they want but i also want variety, after uncharted everything has become the same. I take GoW 3 over any God of war after it.
I own both and for me the SX edges out the PS5 just a little but both a great and glad I own both. This is the one generation I would hate to only own one system.
Great production quality! What what program do you use for the effects. I think Gamepass is clearly a more compelling over PlayStation plus. But if you don’t care about playing the newest games the extra library is actually fairly competitive
Thanks 🙌🏽 I used to edit with Premiere but switched to Final Cut Pro X and really liking it, especially with the M1 Macs. And agreed… I’m interested to see what PS Plus will look like a year from now
ive been debating the whole which console thing. i currently have a pS4 and Xbox One X and a Switch. Recently i have been playing my Switch more because of the game i am playing currently not available on the other 2. But i held off on upgrading to the newer Gen because they were hard to find and outrageously expensive . Plus the titles to take advantage of these powerful consoles were few and far between. Now i can find them both at retail. I like my games on a physical disc so i want the disc PS5 or Series X console. I have played way more Xbox games over the years and so i am going to get the Series X. i think with the game studio acquisitions they've made, Microsoft along with the whole Gamer Pass experience have the opportunity (potential HaHa) to make the gaming experience seamless over several platforms. Plus the acquired studios like Bethesda are not small players. They are heavy hitters and likely Starfield will be a home run. So i think over the next couple years AAA titles for XBox will start to dwarf Sony.
I just switched over to ps5 when I upgraded consoles, and I gotta say just the exclusive games have made it worth getting for me but the one thing xbox does better is where the dpad is on the controller. I think having it designed like the xbox controller is better so if needed you can use your right thumb to hit the dpad buttons, in games that call for movement while pressing the dpad.
Just keep in mind that if you are considering buying a PS5 today that due to value engineering changes that Sony did on the PS5 at the end of 2022, there are some major overheating issues. Over time, the radiator inside of the PlayStation 5 becomes clogged with dust, and the system overheats. To solve this problem, you need to clean your game console monthly. This will be a simple process for some people but a major hassle for others depending on how much free time a person has. I’m not saying that the PS5 is a bad console. I’m just saying this is something a person should really consider when deciding which console to purchase. For me I work 60 hours a week and have a lot of responsibilities outside of work. Thus, constantly cleaning and maintaining a console is a deal breaker.
Hey Jason I have noticed you have a AirPod max. Can you able to connect to both of your consoles and is the sound quality any good than the ps pulse handset or something similar?
Hey there. It can get a little complicated when it comes to connecting the AirPods Max to each console, but my solution has just been to use an Apple Lightning to 3.5mm audio cable, which can be found on Amazon or the Apple Store. It allows you to hear audio, but I don’t think you can use the AirPods microphone on either if you want to chat (from what I remember). So I have separate Sony and Microsoft headphones if I want to chat on a mic. But if you just want to hear audio, the cable works with both consoles.
And when it comes to sound quality, the AirPods Max are my favorite headphones, so I think they sound great, especially with the noise cancellation. I haven’t use the PS Pulse since I already have their original headphones. I’d imagine if you want headphones specially for PS5, the Pulse would be the way to go since you’ll be able to use all its features
I just pick up a ps5 so I have both but I do like Xbox more although seems I didn’t own a ps4 I am speeding all my time catching up on some amazing ps games like spider man and god of war in my opinion if u can afford both get both even if u get them a few years apart
Xbox is my pick. Best controller, more powerful hardware(slightly), full backwards compatibility going all the way back to the original Xbox, and Game Pass!
As someone who owns both (I use PS for offline, single player games and Xbox for online multiplayer) I do prefer the Home Screen of the PlayStation. But that might be recency bias since I haven’t owned a PlayStation since the PS2 (I was poor and could only afford one so I went with the console I played multiplayer on). The PS Home Screen is clean and efficient. Xbox’s is familiar but it feels dated and needs something fresh. Plus, compared to the PS, it feels cluttered
I don't care what system is better.. we are three years and on the next generation of console and still we haven't seen any major exclusive games on either console to be honest with you this is the first generation of console that I haven't picked up in the first two years I'm just waiting on a slim version Kathy's monster consoles are way too big for my entertainment center... splat facts
Quick question. All I play is NBA 2K and I like older Arcade games like Final Fight and street fighter 2. I mainly plan on streaming the games on the go playing away from home. Which system do you recommend?
It just depends on what console your friends mainly use, but really it doesn’t matter if it’s a PS5 or Xbox series X you just need to have the fun only
My final verdict: PlayStation 5 is by far a better platform an service than Xbox series X/S However XBOX is the value king of gaming. PlayStation can’t compete on Xbox in regards to bang for buck. But ultimately, if money’s no object for you, there’s more to do on PlayStation.. My final verdict so far.
I guess opinions vary because I own all 3 next gen consoles, PS5, Series X & S... and literally after finishing God of War it's crickets for my PS5, I play all multiplatform games on my Series X and GamePass is a beast of a service that's only getting better especially this year... I'm actually only anticipating Spiderman 2 for PS5 next while on Series X I'm ready for Redfall, Starfield, Stalker 2, Diablo, Atomic Hearts etc... with no extra money out of pocket

I love the ps5 and the ps4 still as well. I am looking to probably get a series x. I say get them both if you can I overall would probably play more on the ps5 but the quick resume feature is really nice and wish ps5 had that. I play pc also and have for years. If you already have a pc I would get the ps5 for the exclusives first since pc and xbox is so similar
As someone thats main platform for gaming is PC, I owned a PS4 Pro and Xbox One X and for me Gamepass Ultimate & Play Anywhere (Buy once own on Xbox & Windows) won me over so much I have recently picked up an Xbox Series X
Short answer: XBOX is better! Unfortunately they don't have all those exclusives but now they're adjusting that aspect too, they ALWAYS stay in contact with players and their consoles are cheaper, but far more powerful than the Sony ones. For the sole fact that Sony tried to scam millions of people with the PS5, i will never ever buy a product from them again. P.S. i do still think the PS2 it's the best videogaming console of all times though!
To be honest … I’m sticking with Xbox/PC only because of the games i personally want to play and also (in my opinion) is a better platform for 3rd party games but another thing is that I’m a big Halo fan I love playing Halo Infinite and Gears … the PS5 first party line up is only single player games and tbh I’m not really a fan on single player games I still have my ps4 and I like playing God of War and Spider-Man but that’s just all (in my opinion) is what usually play on the PlayStation side but overall I prefer Xbox 🤷🏽♂️
Just do PC and PS5... Xbox and PC just doesn't make sense. Haven't touched my Xbox since I got my PC way back when because the exclusives are all on PC anyway
Nice review of features, but you don’t give much information on the video and microprocessor performance comparison. Which has better performance and graphics quality at higher resolutions??
Thank you. In terms of numbers, I think the Xbox Series X has slightly higher specs than PS5. But you're likely not going to notice much of a graphical difference between the two (in my opinion) if you're trying to compare the same game between them. That being said, when it comes to graphics, I have to say I've been more impressed by the games on PS5 than Series X at this point. Specifically Sony games like "God of War: Raganrok" and "Horizon Forbidden West." These games have some scenes that are just breathtaking. I really like my Series X, but I haven't had as many moment like that as I have with PS5, in terms of graphics
Xbox is overflowded with fps, PS has more variety and rpg. For someone like me who enjoys singleplayer there was never an alternative to sony, plus those few games that interest me in the xbox catalog i can just play on pc.
Ps5 is simply better compared to the series X simply because when I got my ps5 I still kept my Xbox one x and because the series x doesn’t feel like much of an upgrade…while the ps5 from graphics, to controller, to gameplay actually feels like a completely different system
@@DJKobeOnTheBeat You said the PS5s "graphics" feel completely different. But so do the Xboxs. The PS5 and Xbox have the same graphical jump pretty much. Controller might be valid though

The Xbox finally added themes that was available on on the PS3, the share button that was available on the PS4. I own both as well, but the UI is just better on PS5.
Did you just say HALLOOOO???? I won't digress. I have both systems and Ps5 much much better graphics for the same games. Starfield is nice, but it doesn't even have HDR on xbox. That was a pretty good review, is a couple of things you forgot, backwards compatibility on Xbox is incredible, whilst with the PS5 it's non-existent outside of psplus. You also forgot that offline play is generally a lot better on PlayStation ( for physical discs) These things could affect your choices if you live in an area with either bad internet, or if you have an existing Xbox 360 collection
@@jkidd7608 I meant pre the last gen, you can't play PS1 2 and 3 games the same way you can on Xbox... But yes you are correct PS4 games play very well on PS5

I'm going to have to honestly say the PS5 is the most obvious choice. It has great exclusives and PS Plus should definitely be marketed more because they have way more quality games than game pass. For instance, Spiderman, God of War, and Spiderman Miles Morales just to name a few. Majority of games on Game Pass kinda suck . Even though Xbox is the most powerful console of this generation, it is most certainly not the best. For example, The Switch is the #3 best selling console of all time! I have a PS5 and a Switch and I'm set with this generation of gaming.
I have a ps5 since 2021 and I bought a series x yesterday. Just by playing halo instead of cod on ps5 I felt so much more relaxed and enjoyed all session long. Just by that, if I could only have one, I’d choose Xbox over ps5 every single day
Felt so more relaxed???? WTF?? 😂 Soooo ..Xbox has been available for a long time. And Xbox widely available. PS5 available but major shortages. Yet PS5 still selling more??
I have the xbox series x, cause that was what i was able to get my hands on. Actually kind of wished i go the s instead. Maybe if Microsoft would develop games that looked next gen the x would be worth it. seems like most of the games on game pass could easily run on the og xbox, or at least the 360. I wish ps5 would have been available, I would have gotten that instead, at least they seem to push their system.
I hear ya. I really do hope this is a big year for Microsoft - they need to capitalize on the success they've had so far. There's an Xbox showcase scheduled for Jan. 25 so that might give a better layout of what's ahead
I own the series x and so far (game wise) I am quite disappointed... most new games coming out have this retro, arcade, pixelated style to them that honestly just annoys me!!! I bought the series x for its awesome graphics and performance but the fact that their games suck so bad doesn't make it worth having it anymore... I actually spoke to my console dealer and asked if I could trade in my SX for the Ps5, coz right now it looks like Ps5 is taking the lead in the "ecstatically appealing games" department. (it's sad coz I was a Xbox fan since day one... and now I'm more drawn towards the Ps5)

Always been into games, eventually got a ps5, still got my ps4 pro and Xbox one x, to be honest as soon as I got the ps5 I stopped playing Xbox completely, don’t like halo anyway, so The last of us, and uncharted, ghost of tsushima, and GT plus many other PlayStation on made me swap, the PlayStation ultimate pass for £100 ish is great. Loads of content included, check out the list online, I will miss my Xbox elite controller but Sony have just released one similar, I have since bought a 77” Sony oled and I have got to say wow.

I’ve owned both for about a year and a half and I find them both to be great consoles. Yet I find myself playing the PS5 about 80-20 compared to the Series X. I simply find the content more compelling and prefer the controller.
I have had both for 2 years and I play Xbox 80% of the time and only turn on ps5 for exclusive games

I like Xbox more because I grew up with Xbox controllers all the way back to the original Xbox.

The better choice between PS5 and Xbox Series X is a matter of personal preference and depends on individual needs and preferences. Both consoles offer high-quality gaming experiences and cutting-edge technology, and the choice between them will come down to the type of games you like to play, the features you value most, and your budget. Here are a few factors to consider when choosing between the two:
Game Library: PS5 has a strong library of exclusive games such as Demon's Souls, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

Ps5 and series s are the best duo imo

After all, xgp can be accessed by PC, mobile phone and Samsung TV
yeah i mean more choices for the consumer is so bad right
Great video.

My dilemma is I have been with PlayStation for a while now. However, I only have enough to get one system and I think I’m going with Xbox this year. Just the fact that they bought the rights to the Bethesda is huge. That along with the game pass is why I am switching to Xbox.

No. 2 The Xbox Elite controller with its trigger locks, adjustable stick height and
travel resistance as well as the 4 assignable paddles have been a game changer in games - no more taking your thumb off the aiming thumb stick to jump etc.
I chose ps5 digital for me. Happy so far
I got my xbox series x October 2022 & my PS5 on launch day i'm enjoying both worlds🥂😎
W manss 🙏
PS5 has their own “resume activity” feature on their system but doesn’t work as well as quick resume in my opinion. At least as from my perspective since most of my games on ps5 are physical copies instead of mainly going digital with gamepass on my Xbox series X
If Sony would just mandate that every game implement a “resume last save” Activity, which a few games have already added, it would be just as good as Xbox quick resume, potentially better, because it wouldn’t have all of the usually network-related bugs that can come about on Xbox quick.
When it comes to games I have to go with Xbox just because of GP.
They are both good console period. I have a series x and love it. I will be getting a ps5 soon. They both have there advantages so get them both.
Have you bought a ps5 yet? I’ve also got a series x but was considering a ps5 as well, so I’m curious what you think.
Sony already talking about ps6 and can't make sure there's plenty ps5s to go around. Make it, make sense!
They’re stocked finally.
I’d rather just build a PC.
what about spider man 2?
It's true, Sony does have better first party exclusives, that goes without saying, but Game Pass is unbeatable value. As a subscription service it has far more games and even added fps boost to bunch of titles which you didn't mention. I have PS Plus Extra as well which is cool, and I was able to enjoy games like Returnal and Stray without paying full price, but I find myself using Game Pass more and cancelling my PS Plus subscription intermittently. Xbox just need to update their UI and controller to be more next-gen.
Game pass exist on PC 💀
@@SolarErazer and some PS exclusives are available on PC. What's your point?

Game pass only useful if you like streaming a lot tbh
@@Superbad22 and what's your point besides nitpicking? How does that address my main point?
Got both using the series X as a computer. Ps5 as a gaming console. Ps5 UI is so much better
@@flizzy4645 I prefer the SX UI but to each their own. I also play everything on my SX including emulators and PS5 for PS5/PS4 games.
Sony has better exclusives and single player games in my opinion, but Xbox has better multiplayer games.

For real you have no idea what your talking about.
Couldn’t disagree more…. Just look at Redfall. Doesn’t matter how far they were into production, Microsoft let that out as a AAA. Embarrassing

One thing I like about the Elite controller is that you can switch out the D-Pad as well to a different style
Well said. That's exactly why I didn't buy one. Plus the coil whine, from what I've been reading on is still loud.
I have had a ps5 since launch day and have never had to clean it, it has never overheated and is completely silent… wtf are you going on about???
@@NothingButGooch my thoughts exactly lol

@@JasonDuaineHahn thanks for the advice, my ps5 and psvr2 arriving today. Can't wait to be immersed
In Australia Xbox game pass ultimate is $16 /month but PS plus extra is $19 /month
I don't care what system is better.. we are three years and on the next generation of console and still we haven't seen any major exclusive games on either console to be honest with you this is the first generation of console that I haven't picked up in the first two years I'm just waiting on a slim version Kathy's monster consoles are way too big for my entertainment center... splat facts
Don't worry the exclusives are coming from sony and hitting hard they always do imo give them time you get epic games 👍
Quick question. All I play is NBA 2K and I like older Arcade games like Final Fight and street fighter 2. I mainly plan on streaming the games on the go playing away from home. Which system do you recommend?
Xbox Series X for sure
It just depends on what console your friends mainly use, but really it doesn’t matter if it’s a PS5 or Xbox series X you just need to have the fun only
My final verdict:
PlayStation 5 is by far a better platform an service than Xbox series X/S
However XBOX is the value king of gaming.

What are the name of those lights for the back light behind your tv
I have both. Both are great. The quick resume is top notch but the controller of the ps5 makes gaming on it outstanding. ps5 is my favorite
Xbox is overflowded with fps, PS has more variety and rpg. For someone like me who enjoys singleplayer there was never an alternative to sony, plus those few games that interest me in the xbox catalog i can just play on pc.
Exactly!
Ps5 is simply better compared to the series X simply because when I got my ps5 I still kept my Xbox one x and because the series x doesn’t feel like much of an upgrade…while the ps5 from graphics, to controller, to gameplay actually feels like a completely different system
