I do follow the logic of gus figuring out that something isnt right after the conversation which is why he kidnaps jesse next episode... but one thing about the whole thing that bugs me on rewarch is that jesse had it right in this episode on how walt posioned brock... but next season when he "figures" it out before the cleaner comes... he already knew the answer and acts like it is new information... for a brillent deduction he seems quick to forget
He correctly guessed that when Huell patted him down he stole the cigarette, but he had no way of knowing, Huell lifting the weed off him confirmed that Huell is capable of pickpocketing things so that confirmed to Jesse that Huell patting him down was him taking the cigarette.
@octodaddy877 it probly is confirmation cause he didn't believe huel was capable of it but it is like he got 95% their and than abandoned his train of thought
@betterwatchtv well actually now that if I think about it... I think he didn't believe huel could life the cigarette until he confirmed it during the drop off... plus at the time he might have differences with walt but he didn't believe walt was capable of hurting a child.... until season 5 were he saw how little walt was affected by Drew's death... I don't have concrete evidence but that theory makes some sense
I love that they didn't end up explaining the mummified hand in BCS. They totally could've and it probably would've been funny, but I love that there's still just this crazy unexplained history to Saul, just like Lalo and Ignacio were before BCS.

My favorite part of this video was when they said for real drug sniffing dogs, they have to plant drugs so the dog doesn’t lose its motivation. I think that is just tremendous. Imagining the cops telling the dog they have to go on a mission, and he’s like “ahhh come on, I’m not gonna find anything anyway!”

0:38 , I find it interesting. Too little, too late, absolutely. But Walt is being genuinely humble in this scene. Unless its manipulation, however, someone like Marty Byrde from Ozark is actually doing this for his family unlike Walt.
3:48 I figured the second agent hung back so that the manager had to call out *loudly* that it was OK. Meaning not only did the second agent hear it, but everyone working in that area knows they were allowed to go in. (Plus so they could sneakily bring the dog once they got the okay.)
That definitely makes sense to me! Vince said their DEA advisor said they would never do that... maybe because in real life they wouldn't try to be sneaky with the dog? 🤷
Yep, I do mention that in next week’s script! At the time of writing, they weren’t 100% sure they were going to get another season. (They knew by the time they filmed, though.) And I’ve picked up hints that *if* it needed to be the last episode, they were prepared to work in Hank finding out somehow.
@@betterwatchtv Thats the reason the beginning of season 5 felt pointless too me, like they had already concluded everything important, but I was wrong since season 5 turned out to be a way better ending, although much darker.
@@joellundkvist1308 The problem was the show (as TV tends to go) was improvised as they went. They found an incredible villain in Giancarlo's performance, but the intent was always for Walt to be the villain by the end.
So, I tried digging up more information about this while making this. Because, yes, I came to the conclusion that the floor was already like that. But in the DVD commentary (or maybe it was the insiders podcast), they said it was an intentional homage. My conclusion was that they intentionally featured them in the shot... but I admit it's kind of strange because it's not like they could really avoid shooting the tiles. I ended up just taking them at their word!
11:41 It's the most simple jokes/edits that can set me off for a good 5 minutes. Walt: "Why did you stop?!" Gus (proudly): "Because the poisoning is suspicious"

There were great mineral samples within those rocks, but they were rocks nonetheless. Hank was really just being an asshole when people would point out this truth
this might be a reach but whenever i watch this episode i notice that when jesse gets the call from andrea about brock, he’s fidgeting with his lighter and there’s big emphasis on that. this is also directly after the scene where skyler asks the guard for a cigarette. i feel like this is slight foreshadowing that the ricin cigarette will come into play this episode. can’t wait for face off !!

Yes, someone else said they heard the same thing in an interview! I guess I shouldn't be surprised!
it's great seeing your channel grow so much, especially the amount of members
even though i probably won't be one i just wanna say that your videos always make my day and i appreciate the thorough research you do on these
keep up the amazing work 🙏
Thank you so much!! Subscribing, watching, liking, and commenting are fantastic ways to support the channel! Especially since the subscriber count is what people seem to use to judge a channel's worth.
I don't know what I'm going to do with myself when you finish making these videos. I love your content so much! This has been such a fun journey over the last few months. Please do BCS next :D
Haha, yes I'll do BCS next (while trying to somehow do Severance in parallel), plus there are lots of one-off BB topics I want to do. So there's probably years of Breaking Bad Universe content still to go!
@@betterwatchtv Oh that's damn good to hear my friend. We appreciate you!
And I appreciate you! Thanks for being here to watch!!
Man it's so sad that this series is coming to an end. I really watched your channel grow over this series and your editing techniques getting better. But you already said after this will be better call saul details!
Thank you!! Yes, so we’re not even half-way there! (Even Breaking Bad Hidden Details has 4 more months! )
he didn't have to know it was a trap, he just had to think it might be a trap
Great point! I guess “know” and “knew” are too strong!
Oh, I’ll have to rewatch that!
It’s over Mineral gang 😭

Gus's stare sees and knows all.
That's very true! I'm planning to mention that in the next episode (without giving the BCS spoiler). I suppose it could apply to Jesse as well!
I love that they didn't end up explaining the mummified hand in BCS. They totally could've and it probably would've been funny, but I love that there's still just this crazy unexplained history to Saul, just like Lalo and Ignacio were before BCS.
Yeah, maybe if it was less subtle, they would have felt compelled to give it a backstory!
Walter was bluffing, because he only makes himself look bad when he’s lying to manipulate
He got way better at it!
Oh no! I just finished binge watching the entire playlist now I have to wait :( These are so great! Love the insights on all of the BTS stuff!
Well I'm glad you found the channel! Maybe you'll enjoy the weekly cadence!
Wow, 6 Months already!
Always looking forward to your Content!
Congratulations and thanks!! 🎉 🎊
If I'm going to be honest, your videos have been so helpful to me. I have terrible depression and I've been forsaken by so many people in my life, all I have to enjoy and love is the internet. Your videos give me something entertaining and it helps me get away from my terrible life. Thank you man.
I'm so sorry to hear that, but thankful I can help in some small way! May you find better people to surround yourself with who deserve your time and attention!
Finally someone explains why Gus turned away from his car with a believable answer! Makes perfect sense
Happy to help!
i actually cant believe how simple that explanation was for how gus knew literally blew my mind
Woo-hoo! Thanks!
love how the production quality is constantly improving!
Thanks, and thanks for becoming a member!! How do you pronounce your username? Like Kay-leb-blurt?
@@betterwatchtv would it be cool if u just said caleb(yes kay-leb)
Okay, will do! 🫡
Hahahaha 🐶
new viewer, just finished binging the other episodes, very well timed upload
Wow, awesome! Thanks for doing that and being here!
Gus and his criminal empire feels like a final boss for the series finale. Did Giancarlo Esposito won an Emmy or was nominated?
Nominated but never won (same as Bob Odenkirk). 😔
Your videos are so unbelievably good. Also with the subtitles!! Love it
Thanks! I'm glad you noticed. I spend a lot of time on the subtitles, because it's important!
Hello from Germany btw ^^
I love all these references in BB and BCS :D
Awesome! Another representative from Germany! 🇩🇪 Thanks for becoming a member!!

Another great episode! Love from Texas!
Thanks! I was just in Dallas about 2 weeks ago!
This is my personal favorite episode (after watching the show three times)
I dont think its the one witch is objectivly best but I really like it.
Makes sense! Thanks!
Awesome episode, and happy to have made the contribution
🎉🎉🎉 Thanks again!
cannot wait for your coverage of face-off, seems as though each new episode you make tops the last, im sure it will be amazing!
I don't know, but I hope it turns out well!
I don’t think Gus knew, I think he realized there was an opportunity to rig his car, and decided to play it safe and get home another way.
Fair enough! I think "knew" was a bit strong.
@@betterwatchtv I forgive ya bb
🙏
I’m once again impressed with your eye for detail, keep up to great work!
Thanks, Alex!!
Season 4 is the best season of breaking bad, nothing else compares to how perfect the arc was written
Most people seem to agree with you (based on a poll I did awhile back)!
im honestly kinda glad i stumbled across this channel, absolutely perfect to binge watch for some reason
Awesome! I'm *very* glad you found it! My goal was indeed to make the videos binge-able!
Seeing Walter on top of a city's roof reminds me of 2008 The Dark Knight. Rest in peace, Heath Ledger.
Ah, yes! RIP 🙏
@@betterwatchtv So many fantastic iconic actors in less than half a century were gone too soon. But we can appreciate that they were able to perform at all on camera for future generations to enjoy. 🥹
Well said.
Finally after years of watching youtube I joined my first membership!! Love your videos, I was shocked to find out you don't have at least 500k. The stuff you're making is 99.9% pure!
Aww, thanks so much!! I really appreciate it! And that's a great compliment! 🧊🧊🧊
0:38 , I find it interesting. Too little, too late, absolutely. But Walt is being genuinely humble in this scene. Unless its manipulation, however, someone like Marty Byrde from Ozark is actually doing this for his family unlike Walt.
Yeah. I do think it’s genuine, though! And it seems like he’s waiting to die while in his backyard before he gets the idea!
The comparisons between BB and Ozark are so fascinating.
Yeah!
I'm finally a channel member:
It took me til the end of season four:
Thanks for joining!!
these always come out just as i get off work, love them
Nice!!
fun fact for face off!! it was meant to be a series finale im pretty sure.
They found an incredible villain in Giancarlo's performance, but the intent was always for Walt to be the villain by the end.
what an amazing episode! I didnt even remember it being this dramatic! Also well done with the video!!
Thanks! Yeah, lots of tension! (Although I think I magnified it with the pacing of the edits I did to the initial Jesse/Andrea scene!)
2:24 I'm calling on Team Mineral to PEACEFULLY ASSEMBLE in Santa Fe to protest the results of this election!
Anytime Walt laughs in a serious situation it’s not something he can’t control. He just finds it really funny.
Oh, interesting! I'll have to notice that more! Thanks!
@@betterwatchtv oh no I was kidding 😭. Lmaoooo
Oh! Okay!
My Day just got better! 🔥🔥
Awesome, thanks!!
9:20 No those tiles are not intentional, that is just the tile pattern that is on the floor at Gibson Medical Center. Just a coincidence.
Walt: "Why did you stop?!"
Gus (proudly): "Because the poisoning is suspicious"
😂 Thanks!!
1:50 bro that Germany mention 😂
They can’t all be good ones, I guess!
@@betterwatchtvlol. Good one
🙃
i love this seriesss!!! i was waiting for the next episode
Nice!! Thanks for your patience!
that game of thrones writing comment haha
First time watching one of your videos, I myself got most of these details after watching the series about 7-8 times but you just gained one subscriber who loved the insight
Nice!! Thanks!
One of my fav episode, can't wait for face off
Nice
I watched breaking bad as it came out, and I have since gone on to become a geologist. Now, watching breaking bad again, I can see that Hank was, in fact, buying rocks. There were great mineral samples within those rocks, but they were rocks nonetheless. Hank was really just being an asshole when people would point out this truth
Ooo! Thanks for that perspective! 🪨
this might be a reach but whenever i watch this episode i notice that when jesse gets the call from andrea about brock, he’s fidgeting with his lighter and there’s big emphasis on that. this is also directly after the scene where skyler asks the guard for a cigarette. i feel like this is slight foreshadowing that the ricin cigarette will come into play this episode. can’t wait for face off !!
Those are really interesting details! Maybe it is foreshadowing! And thanks for becoming a member!!
when i saw the video i went 3 kilometers to the store bought a pizza that costs minimal wage per hour in my country just so i can eat it while watching this amazing series, i hope to see hidden details in better call saul, keep it up.
Nice!!

6:34 have you already counted this film artifact ! 👁👄👁, its on walt's mouth, honestly thought it was a split at first!
