These gloves are excellent. I got a pair last year, and I think they are better than some of the higher end gloves. I love the finger compartment. Great review 👍🥊
@@DanceonyaheadThese. Hands down. The MX 2.0 suffers from quality control. They also falsely advertised that it had horsehair. After being called out on that, they've changed how they advertise the gloves.
@@Danceonyahead I haven't used the Powerlock 2.0s before, so I can't say. However, if you were to spend $300 on a pair of boxing gloves, they might not be as good as the $99 Pro-Mex gloves. I honestly believe that these Pro-Mex gloves can compete with the higher end gloves as far as quality is concerned. The fit conforms to your fist the more you use it, and it has qualities (such as finger compartment) that you only find in the expensive gloves. The price point is fantastic for these gloves. I have Venum, Cleto Reyes, Everlast and Top Boxer, (some others too) and if you didn't know any better, you'd think these were the higher end gloves. The fit, comfort, protection and performance are 9.5 out of 10 for me. I'd buy them again, for sure. Save me money in the process.
Years ago, I purchased a pair of Pro-Mex gloves. I never got to return them but they were (are) terrible. The foam was so stiff that after using it for a minute, your hands would start hurting pretty bad. Took a chance with these, just to see if Pro-Mex has addressed the old issues, and these are better than all the gloves I have owned - Cleto Reyes, Everlast (high-end models), Rival, Ringside and Title. Apart from being great, these gloves give you the "pop" and for whatever reason, I hit the bag quicker with these. Maybe it's how my fist connects with the bag and the slight "bounce back" I get with these.
I had them around 2016 andat the time couldn’t afford cletos. I had knuckles problems from the padding and they felt uncomfortable. I’m curious how well these are.
I hate how title has the the price of $199 but then on "sale" for $99. Was it ever actually $199? I see this for most of the pro Mex line. Not sure why they do this, especially only on this line. Nice looking gloves though. Got my Gel world V2T gloves on your recommendation and they feel great. They don't feel as heavy as they are though for weighing 18 and definitely are not bulky either. Love the navy/gray/green color too!
hi Carlo, I had a pair of Pro Mex a while ago but didn't like it much, but it was not exactly the same model you are reviewing, it was 10oz lace up but the wrist was slightly different. I recently discovered Heavy Hitters gloves and I bought a pair and for now they're the most comfortable and best price/quality ratio for me, have you ever tried them?
Hey brotha hope all is well I wanted to know your opinion on the best all around bag glove as of rn.... I'm between the rival hb and the title gel world v2t
I love how these gloves feel, but my thumb keeps jamming with them. Don't know if it's the glove or just my hitting but haven't had this issue with other gloves... really annoying since I don't think I can return them since I've been using them a lot.
Got these gloves and loved them but I have realized my punching power decreases using these as opposed to other gloves. Could it be because of the padding?
I just purchased these about two weeks ago, I used them for sparring once and have used them for bag work. I feel like because of the padding it doesn't feel like your hitting, I definitely feel the same way when I use them. but I believe it's because of the soft padding. The padding are pretty soft then other gloves I have owned. I still like them, they feel snugged and protecting my hands and wrist well. Just wished it wasn't as padded.
If you have the sparring version they intentionally do less damage to protect your sparring partner. The training version or bag version shouldn’t feel like that
