If you can make only 1 choice at a vending machine, what kind of snack are you most likely to choose? Chips/crisps, something chocolate or sweets/candy/gummies? Laura says chips/crisps and Jon says chocolates. Thank you again Carolyn! What a fun box of goodies! x
Depends on my mood, sometimes I want sweet, sometimes savoury, but probably a bag of crisps more often than not
now that depends on where you are and what type of vending machine... i mean the ones i have in my warehouses are full of bacon or sausage cobs/sandwiches, ham salad cobs/sandwiches even pizza slices... hot dogs... pork pies and the odd fruit apple banana or orange... so if i chose something it would have to be the classic bacon sandwich... or if it was candy then i suppose i would have to say mars bar...
If it was a biscuit vending machine it would be foxes jam and cream if was the chocolate vending machine would be cadburys crunchie
it depends on my mood it would either be crisps or chocolate
I'm more of a savoury kinda guy, but I'd never turn down a Double Decker bar...
when John was eating the Fox's jam and cream biscuit he had the facial expression of the cat that stole the cream pure bliss loved it Bill
Back in the 80s and 90s the Viscount used to have an orange version as well
Hi guys, the biscuit in the green wrapper is from a pack called Viscount and they come in orange flavour too.
Hey there Angela! Thank you and now we must try those! Yum! x
@@loveandjunkfood Although it is spelt Viscount it is pronounced Vicount (silent s) as in the nobility.
Caramac's don't actually contain chocolate they're made from condensed milk, essentially they're just hardened caramel with extra milk solids.
i guarantee tears if you watch british christmas adverts
The foxes biscuits are indeed everywhere. You can pretty much get then in any convenience store as well as all the supermarkets. They cost on average 50p a pack
The Foxes biscuits are also pretty amazing crumbled over ice cream
Oh my gosh! YES!!! I can taste it now :)
I wish fox's would do a chocolate and black cherry "jam n cream".
You guys would love xmas time foxes biscuit tins get sold more in shops its a two layer tin with all the popular ones in 😉
In the UK Aldi and Lidl do their own version of the Jam and Cream biscuits
Jaffa cakes can be defined as cakes rather than biscuits. The judgement was because biscuits go soft when stale while cakes become hard when stale. 👍
I still don't understand why they are still called "Jaffa" cakes, when they are not made with Jaffa Orange. they should be called McVite's Blackcurrant Cakes or what ever the filling is.
something else we do in the UK with a Flake is .... cut a banana in half, put the Flake in the middle. wrap in tinfoil and cook on the BBQ.
have a look in your ALDI for the Viscount biscuits, as it is made by Burton's.
I need to try this sounds amazing!!!
As a former West Sussex resident, I approve this video!
I'm now a citizen of Scotland, but that's another story...
Those Matchmakers are also available in mint, and there was a limited edition, gingerbread version for Christmas....
,, n at least 2 or 3 others which may or may not b special edition,, I can't even remember them, I think one might b something like butterscotch brittle,, 😬🤔 I'm sorry that's probably wrong 😏
Salted caramel flavor matchmakers are to die for ! 😀
I'm not a big fan of coconut, but I do like the caramel log as it's toasted coconut
Fox's Viennese are my absolute favourite biscuit they don't last 5 mins in this house..😊 they also do a raspberry & cream version
Here's the definitive definition of biscuit (cookie) vs cake. Biscuits go soft when stale; Cakes go hard. Hope this helps. Loving your content. 🇺🇸🇬🇧💜
Ahhhhh! Very nice! Thank you!
You two went so quiet after biting into the jam & creams, I thought I'd gone deaf 😅 I love those too.
Also Laura, imagine if they brought out a blueberry Jaffa Cakes?!!
So enjoy watching your vlogs. 😊
Hi Susan! I am imagining that and crossing my fingers and toes! YES PLEASE! xx
@@loveandjunkfood I just had to Google to check and found that there is a Polish brand called Delicje that actually do their own version of blueberry jaffa cakes!
The Flake is good crushed up and sprinkled on the whipped cream of a trifle
Flake crumbled on top of an ice cream cone !!!
Many decades ago I once ate an entire Caramac Bar (they were bigger then) on the way back from school and was violently sick when I got home. Never eaten another one since! lol
The green wrapped biccie was a VISCOUNT you can also get orange Viscounts as well
At first i want sure about ur vids but now i love seeing how people from a different country react to things i can just go round the corner to get i love watching ur vids each day❤keep up the great work
Viscount, the green foil wrapped mint biscuit, are an old favourite. They were kinda fancy biscuits you might have as a treat at your grandparents on Sunday.
Oh very nice! Thank you for sharing that!
Foxs Viennese have a chocolate biscuit with chocolate cream version that's my favourite. I do have a fondness for flakes too as I always remember getting a tin of them when we would go on holidays. Loved the video as always 😁
Love these vids, you guys obviously just love our snacks, night as well jump on a plane. And yes those biscuits are available in every supermarket
Yes the Fox's Jam N Cream are readily available and they are extremely good value too roughly 50p which I think is about 70c for the packet
Saving the jammy bit in the middle is definitely the best way to eat them. :-D
I love McVities Jaffa cakes but a Polish company, Dr Gerard, do their own versions and started coming up with different flavours long before McVities, one of my favourites being Cherry with alcohol.
Looking good Laura and I hope john let you have some candy after the video is over.
In the uk we have slightly smaller flakes on an ice cream cone. It’s called a 9….. delicious!🍦
Correction..99!😂
Double deckers are delicious ..anything caramel ..bit galaxy rocks too !! And wispa gold xx
I think you were getting your jammie dodgers and foxes jam and cream mixed up a bit there with the "jammie dodger belly button" comment 😂
Hahaha yes! I couldn't focus. Enjoying myself too much!
You have two of my favourite biscuits there, the Viennese and jam and cream. I'm in England and didn't even know the blackcurrant Jaffas existed. Wispa Golds are amazing. The Matchmakers are something that is usually bought at Christmas to put in your chocolate hamper. Although you can buy them all year round. Many years ago they made coffee ones which were so good.
Yes, Matchmakers are kind of a Christmas tradition in the UK
OMG Laura I do the same thing with our Fruit Creme cookies. LOL I eat around the jelly and save it for the end. LOL
Crunchie is one of my favourite chocolate bars.
,, I could smell those jam n cream biscuits as u ate them,, crunchies r good 2 eat in the dark watching TV but by allowing all the choc n honeycomb 2 melt in yr mouth right off the bar,, flakes r also a preemo topping for Angel Delight pudding, esp butterscotch or banana flavor,, and, I really think you'd like Toffee Pops, they're a biscuit like a fox's, but shaped like a Jaffa cake, and with a layer of soft toffee that's almost like caramel but not runny,, everyone used 2 say vis-count n probably still do, until u realise the s is silent and a viscount is like an earl or a Duke or something 😏🏆💐xx
,, a good use for choccy bars u might've had before is to make large layered ice cream Knickerbocker glory type desserts in hurricane glasses with long soda spoons, it's also really good for so-so Candy's like milk bottles or midget gems 😏🍦🍦🥳
,, don't forget to run some yummy syrup n twirl the glass as u do 2 ticks before u fill it !! ,, Maple syrup works even or golden syrup too, if u haven't any fruity ice cream stuff 😏✨✨
Love you guys your palettes are definitely British x😊👍
its funny you should show the orange match makers i had my grand kids over and we made cup cake butterflies with broken matchsticks inside them... extra orange frosting... with two ticks pointing out as antennas.. was fun and they were very nice they didnt last long once they were out the oven...
WHAT??? Those sounds amazing! We were just talking about making some type of orange and chocolate cake. YUMMY!
@@loveandjunkfood we made a “bonfire night” cake for Guy Fawkes 5November (bonfire night 😉) using matchmakers 😃 you make a sponge cake in a pudding bowl, turn it upside down on a serving plate, so that it “looks” like a bonfire pile, cover the cake in chocolate icing then stick the matchmakers on the icing ti make it look like wood and branches. You could then, as you wouldn’t be celebrating “our” bonfire night, make fondant icing “flames” using orange and red food colours and poisition them on the top. What we did was to fashion a little Guy Fawkes model and plonked HIM on the top…but word of advice…do not set fire to him, even though he was a very very naughty man!! 😂😂
Tea dunking biscuits in the UK are really 😋😋 except for bourbon creams
I love you two, your reactions are great👏😊
I think it was decided that when stale, cakes go hard and biscuits go soft. And jafa cakes go hard.
I live in Wales in the UK and I have only ever seen, the original orange flavour jaffa cakes, in 50 odd years I have never seen those other flavours you mentioned, so I do not think they are widely available in the UK. They may be only be available for export to other countries that may request those flavours.
The tunnocks caramel log should go in the biscuit pile as well
Really? ok, good to know! Thank you!
Fox Viennese are around £1.50 for the pack.
The little thing on it's own is a mint viscount biscuit (they also come in orange)
Oh wow! Orange sounds nice too!
You want to try flake in soft scoop vanilla ice cream, yes there are normal malteser biscuits, and just a point you pronounce Viscount Vi-count the s is silent
She did the jammie dodger spot on!
YEAH!!! x
We don't get anything done with jam n cream until they're all gone lol
If you both love Crunchie's, Laura should look up a recipe for Cinder Toffee, and have a go at making some 😊
OHHHH YUM! We both love to cook. Maybe we will give that a try. Thank you!
There’s a new flavour wispa gold coming soon in the uk called hazelnut caramel! Unfortunately one laura may not want to try 😔 the caramel will be flavoured no nuts in it! My favourite chocolate is probably minstrels or kinder eggs! Xx
Love you guys Tasting the British snacks look forward to your reactions to commercials and TV shows
Jon...... wizard Airy Potter?? LOL
If you ever come to UK book yourself a tour of the Cadburys factory 🏭 its wall to wall chocolate with flavours and there's loads of free samples 😋
OH MAN! We MUST!
Hiya L&J for me it's got to be savoury, by the way i think your friends and family must love visiting your home because they get to try all the great things you do as well, "lucky them" love from the UK
Try having a Flake chilled in a fridge 1st. Many chocolates especially Cadbury's Caramel bar, taste better that way. Plus less crumbling.
Plus Fox's biscuits are tasty, but inherently 'dry'. The jam & cream especially, should be dipped in sweet milky tea. Takes some practice. ;-)
Tea video coming soon! We will be dunking for sure! Jon LOVES chocolate chilled in the fridge! He really prefers it that way. Never thought about it helping with the crumbling! Excellent idea!
Jaffa cakes ,flakes and crunches are my faves :) (im in the UK ;D)
You pronunced that place perfect
YAY! That doesn't happen too often! lol
At one time there was a 2inch matchmaker called matchstix. Now discontinued.
How about doing film reviews, there's a big interest in these at the moment and I can't believe the amount of people who have not seen classic films like Jaws, The Green Mile, E.T, and even Star Wars.
We used to do all sorts of things on here but we moved "other" content to the new channel. Film and tv show reviews are coming soon. We also plan to add Amazon products etc. :)
majority of these I will eat. however I would only eat the mint biscuits if that was all I had in my biscuit barrel. x
Did you rank the Viscount ("v-eye-count") correctly? .. The British peerage has five descending, hereditary degrees. They are Dukes, Marquesses, Earls, Viscounts (4th) and Barons. If you love Viscounts Laura you could marry one and be a Viscountess. 🤣
Foxes biscuits are in every supermarket and corner shop, I don't think they know how to make a bad biscuit. You can always find their Crunch Creams on offer somewhere, sometimes as low as 50p (0.67 cents) 😳 Try beating that for value.
I bite all the chocolate off the crunchie ..then eat the honeycomb centre x
Have a sandwich with the chocolate but then toast the sandwich 🥪 😋
There's an orange and regular flavour maltesers biscuits
Viscount biscuits. The s is silent. So pronounced Vi Count. Have you had coffee matchmakers?
Lol you fell into the trap! Viscount is actually pronounced vie-count. Everybody falls for that, don't feel bad! 🤣
Haha. That is a tricky one!
Caramac is caramelised white chocolate.
Didn't you try the gingerbread matchmakers ?
Normally a flake is found in your mr whippy 99 ice cream! Some like it without though but a 99 does include the flake!
Wow! That is a bargain! x
@@loveandjunkfood in terms of cost the ice cream is not 99p it's just the name. Many think it's the price but it's not usually £1 something if that's what you mean by bargain.
@@loveandjunkfood Mr whippy is a ice cream van btw
@@annalevermore7857 it used to many years ago
Viscount the S is silent btw
The normal maltesers biscuits are better than the mint one even the orange ones are even nicer
There is nothing wrong with a chocolate sandwich. Bread roll buttered and a bar of Cadbury's.
,, then microwave it for 5 secs so the choc slightly melts,, saves going to the shop in the morning for some fancy pain au chocolat 😏
mmmm nougat and bits... sigh
Vegemite is better than marmite as it is less salty
,, I think u have unwittingly pointed out your own mistake there 😏
I think jam and cream are better than jammie dodgers
Hi When you read the ingredient list of products from the UK any allergens are in bold.
Fox's are bog standard. Nice but ordinary
It's pronounced v eye count not viscount ..just so you know ..not being rude as love you guys xxx
Hi Melissa! No worries! Thank you so much! We appreciate when you all help us learn! xxx
