  • Welcome to "Americans Review British Snacks" AKA Our Very First Snack Crate. This is the one that made us fall in love with Snackcrate! We like to watch British people trying American snacks and could not wait for our first snack crate to come! We were so sad that this was only a trial size as we wanted to try all of the British snacks! This unboxing/food review was one of our favorites for sure! Can't wait to see what's inside the next box! #americansreviewbritishsnacks #britishsnackcratereview #britishsnackcrate
UPDATE...You choose the country of the first snack crate and after that, snack crate surprises you with a country of their choosing.

Finally subbed today. Worcester is a city in, and county seat of, Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States. Named after Worcester, Worcestershire, England, as of the 2010 Census the city's population was 181,045, making it the second-most populous city in New England after Boston. Worcester is approximately 40 miles (64 km) west of Boston, 50 miles (80 km) east of Springfield and 40 miles (64 km) north of Providence. Due to its location near the geographic center of Massachusetts, Worcester is known as the "Heart of the Commonwealth;" a heart is the official symbol of the city.

Twirls and crunchies are normal regular choccy bars over here (UK), a twirl is a flake wrapped in chocolate tho, that's the point (like a flake you'd get in an ice cream, you guys probably do them differently don't you?) Nice video tho

    • @loveandjunkfood

I think what you call a flake, we call a chocolate chip maybe? We loved this box!

Jay Hughes twirls are folded chocolate bars and flakes are shaved chocolate.

My favourite is the Crunchie, followed by a Mars bar, which is similar to your Milky Way but it has chocolate nougat. Our Milky Way is just a nougat centre.

I know you were kidding, but just for those who don't know, Worcestershire is pronounced something like wooster-sure. Worcestershire (also known simply as Worcester) sauce is basically anchovy oil.

French Fries come in different flavours , Crunchies have been around for Donkeys Years x There are loads more you haven’t tried. Too many to even list x My son works at a sweet factory that used to make Liquorice Allsorts ... Google them 😂😂

Nando’s is a popular takeaway but not so much as crisp ; french fries was crisp you would have as a kid , I love crunchies they are always in my fridge and the same for wham , twirl is seen a lot but less popular and millions you will find many schools kids eating them and one of us adults

Interesting watching this for the first time in 2021, and comparing your reactions then, with now. I would say you have both developed a more UK based palate now.

For sure! Also, can you believe that was one of our very first videos?! We definitely were still struggling to be comfortable etc. We were nervous too as this was our first ever type of video like this. We certainly did not have it down! LOL But, we have done a handful now (with more to come) and we haven't found anything yet that we just don't like from the UK. Thank you so much for watching!

Worcester or Worcestershire Sauce is pronounced "wuss-ter". Similar to Gloucester and Leicester (I'm sure we only do these things to confuse
foreigners!). Vimto is a very old soft drink (soda) which is flavoured with a mix of berries, I believe blackberries, raspberries and blackcurrants.
I hope you enjoyed your little taste of Britain...…...……...……...………..the ancient Englishman.

@@loveandjunkfood I’ve watched a lot of your posts, i realise this is your first. I’d like to send you some other great things from the UK, trust me you haven’t tasted them all. There are some extra gems out there, and I’ll throw in some prawn cocktail crisps too. Are you just into sweets and crisps or would you like some savoury bits too. We have a bad reputation for having bad food, not true, it was when your troops were over here and we only had rations to give them, we have fabulous food. I’ve not seen you eat a scotch egg ( must admit when I make homemade ones it’s not the same as store bought one ), sausage rolls, pies etc. Are you up for that ?

Both Britain and Ireland have cadburys factories but it is a British brand, therefore twirls are a British chocolate bar

    • @peterwilliamallen1063
      @peterwilliamallen1063 3 роки тому +3

Twirls are made in Bournville Birmingham and Cadbury is a Birmingham, UK. There is a factory in Dublin Ireland that may make the twirl for the Irish Market opened I believe in 1924, but Cadbury's is a British firm based in Bournville, Birmingham, UK. where you got the idea they are Irish cant understand.
