I'm assuming in the wild the eggs form clouds which just float down river and then hatch out. They are not habitual rock or leaf spawners? I had no idea so many were produced. It must be difficult to do in aquarium. I have a large colony of around 10 individuals most of them now pushing 7-8 inches.
I really need help… Both my clown loaches male and female (2) are in a big community tank with lots of rocks, caves and plants. Recently I noticed the female was missing then saw her in a small hole underneath a big rock in the sand of the tank and all I could see was her fin. She now comes out occasionally to feed like once or twice a week. And now I am starting to think they are breeding. What are your thoughts?
Nice, good job Peter, looking forward to take a trip to see you and check out how you guys breed other fish there in Czechoslovakia. The COVID virus put a hold on all my planned trips. Talk soon. Andres Ryan.
@@peterVURH which hormone do you use, to induce breeding. I have had some good responses using the pituitary gland, and some synthetic hormone called ovaprim
sGnRh is used on fish with mature eggs 0.3-0.5per kg female/ 0.2per kg male Then striping is done based on the condition of the eggs Rest is shown in the video
Wow. I had no idea how small they start out. Amazing. Thanks for that.

Nice sir... ❤❤❤❤
What do you feed them first stage?
Would you sell the protocol (hormone, doses and intervals)?
How do you get them to breed? Greetings from Costa Rica
Hormonally induced ovulation followed by in vitro fertilization.

Hi, I am looking at getting clown loaches, but would prefer them not from the wild. I'm in the UK, do you sell fish to the united kingdom
Where are you from?
