Hi everyone! In this video I present to you an amazing and easy-to-prepare recipe! Light, healthy and very tasty first course. Ideal recipe for lunch or dinner! Gnudi is a traditional recipe from the Tuscany region. This dish is also suitable for vegetarians. Perfect mix of flavors between ricotta and spinach, no one leaves indifferent! Gnudi with tomato sauce will please the whole family, even the little ones! try this easy and delicious recipe based on ricotta and spinach and I'm sure you will like it! It is always important to cook with love :)
Ingrediants:
- 500 gr of spinach
- 250 grams of ricotta
- 1 egg
- 150 grams of flour
- 40 gr of Parmesan cheese
- Salt, pepper, nutmeg
For the sauce:
- 1 clove of garlic
- 500 gr of tomato puree
- Salt and pepper
- Fresh basil
- Olive oil

Da Toscana li faccio anche io, senza pangrattato, solo farina, parmigiano o padano grattato nell'impasto. Sono ottimi anche conditi con burro fuso e foglie di salvia ma anche con un ragù leggero. 🤗

A slight version of yours: I rolled the spinach balls in Parmesan cheese instead of flour and baked them until golden, then deep them in regular tomato sauce with olive oil, garlic, and basil; it was delicious and tasty.
Yea, I'd prefer to give them a little color by baking or frying!
@@johnwright2911 I always try to avoid frying food and prefer oven or air fryer.
Yeah, I think baking would give them a better texture, regardless of what they are coated with.

That looks and sounds delicious. I think I will give it a go. I don't eat very much meat. I sometimes use just enough in my dishes to create flavor but I pull the meat out and give it to my neighbor. She loves it because she doesn't have to cook it. She can add it to what she desires or put it on a salad or sandwich.

I love making gnudi because they are so quick and easy, but I wouldn't say they are better than pasta! Sometimes I make them with arugula and spinach mixed. I summer I'll serve them with just olive oil and lemon.

I do like this, the seemingly mild spinach monsters sealed in the pasta water, and red sauce, add Basil!, Parm, season, perhaps sugar, perhaps a red wine blend, and of course MORE cheese.

We do these too, but instead of tomato sauce, we pour melted butter over them and sprinkle lots of Parmegiano. They taste exquisite. Everybody loves them.

Not the same thing :) the recipe you are looking for is knödeln, or canederli on the Italian Alps, which are made with bread and a lot of butter. The recipe in this video is gnudi toscani and comes from central Italy. Buon appetito!

Anche io li faccio però al posto della farina metto il pangrattato e invece di lessare li cuocio nel forno e poi li metto in un seghetto semplice ...invece se metto la farina come hai fatto tu li faccio tipo gnocchi ..li lesso e condisco sempre con un semplice seghetto...BUONISSIMI
A Firenze si chiamano gli strozzapreti ora va di moda chiamarli gli gnudi. E' una deliziosa ricetta delal campagna toscana..tra l'altro molto nutrienti
Può essere considerato un piatto unico se abbinato al sugo di carne, non ragù ma sugo di carne alla Toscana con carne macinata ma solo di manzo e carota/cipolla/sedano
Si 😊 si in Toscana si mangiano spesso solamente burro e salvia.
Una mia amica piacentina li faceva identici ma li chiamava malfatti ed essendo più a nord li condiva con burro e salvia .comunque li si chiami sono buonissimi di sapore e di morbidezza"carezzevole"

I was surprised the spinach balls were boiled in water. I was expecting to brown them in pan with oil.
Gnudi are like large gnocchi or chicche, and these are like ricotta gnocchi, so most of the time they are boiled in water. They are too large to be sauteed like smaller gnocchi or chicche can be, since they wouldn't cook fully in the centers. And simmering in water makes them more light and tender. You could probably simmer them in the tomato sauce like the Abruzzese pallotte cacio e uova (cheese/egg balls) but these Tuscan gnudi are very delicate in flavor so water is better. Italian cuisine is very selective and respectful of the ingredients and methods of cooking.
