I love the video, very informative. My only BIG suggestion is to WRITE out the ingredient names for us to know how to spell them and all that because just from hearing you say it I get to the end of the video and I literally have no idea what ingredients you used without prior knowledge of these names. It would be incredibly helpful to be able to read them on the screen as you make the recipe and also in the description box.

Another great video! Thank you for sharing the information on light esters. Face oils were where I first started formulating skincare and although it smelled amazing it left my face shiny and greasy. I like seeing how it's professionally made as opposed to in the kitchen. Once I have saved enough I will sign up for your introductory course perhaps next week. Might as well get certified while in neverending lockdowns in my country. I really enjoy your lessons. @mdml0 3 роки тому +2

@@carlyc9891 I hope it's ok I answer. You can easily make facial oil but you have to ask how good or amazing you want your end product to be. If you just want a simple oil on your face without caring for the look or feel and long shelf life then just study on your own by searching on the internet. If you want to make a face oil that's light and non-greasy with some active ingredients that will be stable for a long time that's similar to luxury brands and be able to market them then you take a course for excellent guidance by experienced formulators.

Well, Tamanu Oil is incredibly thick, like Castor Oil, if not more, but it leaves a dry finish, similar to that at the heart of this formulation. Not sure if you want the **feel** of Castor Oil, as well as the viscosity, but I, personally, think Tamanu Oil is heaven sent.

      • Visit our global suppliers page: createcosmeticformulas.com/IngredientSuppliers/cosmeticingredientsuppliers-897/
      • Join our Cosmetic Raw Materials for Small Brands facebook group: facebook.com/groups/1734896293290235/ here you can split packs with others to access materials from large suppliers
When you are a student with us, you also get access to our raw material database, which has 1000’s of raw material details in it, along with supplier details - so you can access this info, get in touch with suppliers and ask for samples (they will provide our students samples) and/or seek minimum pack sizes (or consider purchasing and splitting packs on the Small Brands facebook group above). Can I use both vitamin e tocopherol acetate and mixed vitamin e tocopherol in facial oil that contains grape see oil as base oil and kojic acid dipalmitate as active. If yes what should be the concentration in %?

    • @theinstituteofpersonalcare6401

Tocopherol acetate will protect the skin but not the product - you can add both, but remember, only the tocopherol is protecting your formula. The grade seed oil is oxidisable - so you would need to run some tests to determine the required input, please watch how I do it in this video: Vitamin E in cosmetic formulas: ua-cam.com/video/ioucAvsnziw/v-deo.html and we will soon have a blog on this here (check back in a few days): personalcarescience.com.au/Workshops/Workshops-2110/Blog-4192/ You can also learn how to determine suitable inputs of antioxidants and then run stability tests in our Certificate in Advanced Cosmetic Science: personalcarescience.com.au/CosmeticScience/CertificateinAdvancedCosmeticScience-478/ or Diploma of Personal Care Formulation: personalcarescience.com.au/CosmeticScience/DiplomaofPersonalCareFormulation-479/
