Thanks for the heads up on this alarm. I am currently designing a system for my workshop, but this is ideal for meantime (My system has a 130db truck horn inside the w/shop to destroy any intruders eardrums!) just ordered from amazon.
Thank you for this share my partner has just set up a live streaming game room in our shed a lot of expensive gear in there this is what I've been looking for something like this
Michelle Helin did you get it if so once the alarm goes off does it stay on until the password is entered or does it go off after a certain amount of time
Pit Bulls are plentiful. All you have to do is feed one and you have a friend for life. Make him/her a nice bed in your workshop and just wait for the screams. :)
The instant setup for the gate that can only be opened inside - what happens when it is armed and you switch it to delayed? IE I hop over the gate, switch it to delayed, can I let my mate in and shut the gate without it going off?
No it needs to be disarmed before you can change the mode. As soon as you open it regardless of the mode it’s in it will trigger the alarm notification and eventually go off if the code isn’t entered. Hope that makes sense
Process for Code setups: Set your own code by first pressing the unit's default code: " 0000 + * ", Now enter your own code by pressing for example: " 123 + * " To arm: press 123 + # > red light comes on for 10 seconds To disarm: press 123 +# > TWICE!! Red light then flashes for 10 seconds and the unit is closed down. Hope that helps 🙂
Hi thanks for this I have a recording studio and I need an alarm I have a question when the alarm goes off if you don’t put in the code will it turn of in an amount of time or does it just stay on
Set your own code by first pressing the unit's default code: " 0000 + * ", Now enter your own code by pressing for example: " 123 + * " To arm: press 123 + # > red light comes on for 10 seconds To disarm: press 123 +# > TWICE!! Red light then flashes for 10 seconds and the unit is closed down
So you put this on the inside? That way you set it on "delay" and it gives you enough time to get out? Also for how long do you think the batteries will last? Can it scream for a whole day; for example?
You have plenty of time to leave. I think around 10-15 seconds. Just like a house alarm. Yes on this model it keeps going off until you enter the code once triggered. I haven’t changed the batteries in either of mine yet but I don’t know how long they would last for continuously sounding. I suppose that would depend on the batteries, but it’s definitely set my mind at ease. It’s really loud. If it sounded and you were home, you would hear it. Hope that helps you.
Warrington Woodshop did you get it if so once the alarm goes off does it stay on until the password is entered or does it go off after a certain amount of time
There are settings for an instant alarm and one for a delayed one. I use the instant one on a door that shouldn’t be opened and the delayed on to get in my workshop so I’ve time to put the code in.

I think if somebody really wanted to break in to any shed or workshop and brings the right stuff, then there’s not much that will stop them. This would hopefully be a deterrent for an opportunist thief used in conjunction with a good quality hasp and decent locks to give people a sense of security rather than just having a padlock. I have a couple of padlocks on mine too, one of which has an alarm in it which activates if it is moved too much. I recommend that too. The point is to alert you and scare them off.
Hi, first it’s ‘She’... Second, I’ve hardly told anyone about my security system especially as my workshop is wired to my home alarm. This is aimed at people who don’t have the option or funds to do a house alarm... but thanks for the comment. I’m sure people will find it very useful.
Set your own code by first pressing the unit's default code: " 0000 + * ", Now enter your own code by pressing for example: " 123 + * " To arm: press 123 + # > red light comes on for 10 seconds To disarm: press 123 +# > TWICE!! Red light then flashes for 10 seconds and the unit is closed down.
These alarms are absolutely dog shit. They are cheap, the keypads don't work half the time , the sensors don't work half the time and the alarms are weak.
Don’t use dummy CCTV cameras. Those red lights are not at all realistic. There isn’t a single real security camera that has a flashing red light on it. The flashing light makes it look fake.
If somebody broke in they’re not likely to expect that to be there. If they broke in and thought to take them out in the few seconds they would have, the screws stop easy access to the batteries and the alarm will have long sounded before they can remove them. Obviously I’d still go with a house alarm, but this is demonstrating an alternative where that might not be possible for everyone.

That will definitely deter potential intruders 😂
Amazing video!! My box seemed to be missing the instructions. This helped a ton.

How do you change the pin from 0000 to whatever you want to to be please.?
Thankyou so much
I'm in a care home and they enter my home every time I go out snkeaky and the and the arthoty don't help my home life I have been a victim of crime
I just got mine today and The magnets are not triggering the alarm no matter if i set it to these three modes
They do need to be fairly close. You might just have a faulty one if it’s not triggering.

If I was you I’d stick a dummy bell box with flashing lights on the side of your workshop! That will really put the scumbags off! :)
😂 it would. Mines on my house alarm now but this was a good peace of mind method for the interim until I got it added on.
I've just bought one and I can't work out the pin and I've lost the instructions

It will just stay on until the code is entered.
Warrington Woodshop ok thx for this

Have you set up a motion detection security light and camera that lights up the shed ?
Yeah all that is set up too. Just as much deterrence as possible.
Quick question, if I was to put the pin in, then close up my shed, how do I enter my own shed without the alarm then sounding?
There are settings for an instant alarm and one for a delayed one. I use the instant one on a door that shouldn’t be opened and the delayed on to get in my workshop so I’ve time to put the code in.
Lady I hope that you have changed the Default / Setup Code to another you Only know
Of course. This was just for a demonstration 🙂
Can you arm it on the way out so that once shut from outside it's armed and ready to go
Yes of course. I just didn’t leave in the video but you have about 30 seconds to leave while it arms.
@@shelly87uk thanks for the speedy response
Any links with it on
Please how many centimeters wide is each magnet?
Only about 1cm wide. Plus the casing. But it just has to be in range of the other. Hope that helps
Do you have a link for this ?

I could have sworn you said 6 pound?
How often have you had to change the batteries?
On the main door I go through to get in I changed them after about 6 months. The less frequently used door, I haven’t had to change them yet.
@@shelly87uk cheers
Where can I buy one
I think I got them on Amazon or EBay. Both sell them anyway.
What happens if they cut the line will it stop screaming?
No the pin is needed to silence it. Or removing the batteries.
You could hide the wire under wood or something to have a tidy finish
The cable from the magnet to the control panel is way to short it’s worse than useless unfortunately .
what if thief brings a hammer and breaks with a single blow!!

Not exactly quiet bashing something with a hammer is it

Are they waterproof
Ty Barkley - It doesn’t say on the packaging but I don’t think they are. I think they are for indoor use only.
