Went back to see him, then he was like "well you're young enough that you don't really need an estrogen blocker anyway" after I brought up some points from these videos... He went on to suggest one capsule of letrozole a week instead of every other day. His practice definitely falls into the "selling as many meds as possible" category, which I knew going in. Taking 100mg of DHEA a day orally. As an older guy, there is some evidence of effects, I must say that combined with 3-days fasts, no breakfast, meat-dominant food, good sleep, and 2x full body + 2x cardio + light full body, I feel very well, way above the average 53-year old. Body fat down to 15, from 30+, going to 10 for the heck of it, will try to stabilize at 12…
    I get questions on TRT, since people believe the improvements are unattainable, I say I am natty-ish, due to the DHEA…
    So really interrested in hearing if other older people have had any experiences with dhea. It does not work in younger people, I believe that is well established, but it has put my thoughts regarding TRT on hold for now…

    • @iblisthemage

      @@domepiece11 thank you, first time I get feedback on DHEA. I think along those lines, DHEA supports both androgens and estrogens, but is not discussed by the UA-camrs I follow really. Maybe because it only works in older people…?

    • @iblisthemage
      @iblisthemage 2 роки тому

      @S my advice would be for you to stop. DHEA as I understand only has benefits for elder people, where it can maybe help as a precursor for androgens and estrogens. Older people have lower levels of many hormones. And it appears to have the greatest impact in menopausal women.
      There are almost always negative feedback loops in the hormonal systems, so taking a substituting molecule can easily make you produce less yourself.
      That risk could be smaller in an elder individual, hypothetically, as long as the molecule in mention does not reach a higher level than the individual would have produced naturally.
      You should wait 30 years before considering taking DHEA. You risk messing up your development 🙂.
      I am 53, and I have been 30 kg overweight, and could hardly walk. I had a lot less to loose.
      When stopping, you can expect hormonal fluctuations while your body adapts, it is likely to be a bumpy ride, so strap in. Make sure to get some saturated fats (butter, fat from steaks, etc) and plenty of D-vitamin.
      Best wishes

    • @iblisthemage
      @iblisthemage 2 роки тому

      @S what are you solving for? At 18, focus should be on sleeping, nutrition, cardio, moderate resistance training, and developing strategies for coping with adult struggles, while doing your training/studies of choice. Not messing with your hormone system…
      I am a dad of 4, one at your age, so I get into dad-mode, sorry 🙂.

    Also, it seems like the fat increases coinciding with AI cohort taper off with the higher the levels of testosterone are, possibly suggesting that low estrogen appears to be concurrent only with lower levels of T. Yo Derek I just wanted you to know I was the one that bought the last gorilla mode ar so for all the people that are wondering why it's sold out its because I bought the last bottle of it. It's my first time using this and man it had been amazing for the first 15 days then I injured myself trying to show a new basketball friend how far I can jump and it was rest day so I was definitely stupid to try. I did a 8 foot standing long jump normally I can do 12 foot and basically my left leg buckled on the landing and I tore 2 parts of my legs muscles on my left leg... the doctor said I tore half of the Muscle fibers on a part of my leg. I belive it's under my knee basically under my quad. The part above the knee but under the knee too. I think and the other part that got injured is unde the calf I think. I'm on day 15 of recovery I think. And I can only limp walk for about 3 fo 5 minutes then my legs give out. And I can only stand for 3 minutes outside then I need to hold onto the car. I stopped taking the supplement because obviously I can't since I have to lay in bed almost all day everyday until 3 to 4 weeks then I'll be able to walk the doctor said. Also for reference on that 8 foot long jump on concrete I'm 6 foot 4 and 320 pounds so you can imagine the amount of force I used when my left leg buckled on the landing

I intend to use Arimidex to inhibit aromatization to have more free testosterone in my system to facilitate faster fat burning. I'm taking 1mg every 3 days, first dose today. My logic is that, due to high amounts of adipose tissue, I am a high aromatizer, increasing the estrogen feedback loop that promotes fat storage. I keep all my fat in my stomach, chest, and lower back.
    I will be back to update.

      In theory you're right, you have a greater chance of having higher endogenous levels of estrogen due high fat. However, you should take into account that after some time in caloric deficit the body tries to lower metabolism and give preference on glicogen as a source of energy during exercise as a way to diminish fat loss, so that's a good experiment. Hope you make into the Navy soon.

When I wasn't on them I could easily cut even while eating junk food in moderation. Those who are trying to lose fat while on ai's, don't even try, it's impossible. Fat loss is impossible without normal levels of estrogen.

    Perfect timing for this video Derek. I've been on trt for a year now through a major clinic but I have yet to feel dialed in with a lot of low e side effects. My clinic has had me on both anastrozole and clomiphene the whole time. I've dropped both of those drugs in the past month and I'm hoping I'll see my T:E ratio to return to optimal and get better use of estrogen in my body. My test levels at my last blood work were 1235 ng/dl total and 35 ng/dl free. However, my e2 came back at only 35 pg/ml. For my level of testosterone, I would probably need closer to 60 pg/ml e2 to keep the ratio at the ideal "20:1". I split my weekly dose, but am considering going back to a single weekly dose to get more aromatization, that is if dropping the anastrozole and clomiphene doesn't raise my e2.

    Not only do we need a therapeutic level of E2 which is also somewhat idiopathic in terms of one persons ideal level vs another, generally somewhere between 18-23 pg/ml., it’s also important to note that without a healthy level of E2 your androgen receptor sites will not be sensitized and you will not grow! Estrogen is necessary for androgen receptor site sensitivity. This is why when we put a female athlete on a super low dose of Anavar, say 5mg per day., they get shredded! Their androgen receptor sites are highly sensitive due to the wealth of estrogen present.

    • @KuanSakthivel-q2i
      @KuanSakthivel-q2i 2 місяці тому

      It really depends on your symptoms: ie a.) is your Estradiol(E2) causing Gynecomastia ? b.) do you have depressed mood lethargy, emotionally more labile ( this is hard to characterize) c.) high libido compromising your personal life ie inability to focus on work, issues with women ... generally people rely on Gynecomastia since you can actually palpate it. with a T of 618( you didn't list units but assume it to be ng/dL) then your E2 should be 5% of that which is 30.9 pg/mL. Yours is at 57.9 pg/mL this is too high your ratio of Test/Estradiol is off and you are higher risk for gynecomastia. Gynecomastia is determined by the balance between T to Estrogen rather than absolute Estrogen value. This is an important concept( many people just look at the total ie is my E2 at or above 100 pg/mL. This is wrong it is based on ratio of Testosterone to Estrogen). Have a conversation with your physician about symptoms, and go from there. Further more specific labs test can be done but my response is already too long.

I'd suggest talking to your doc, going to twice weekly, then waiting 4-6 weeks to check your blood. It can't hurt.
