Toyota confirms launch of electric Hilux in 2025: open.substack.com/pub/businessandcarsbusiness/p/toyota-confirms-launch-of-electric?r=3mj7qk&showWelcomeOnShare=true
I doubt Subaru would have two trucks. They really just need one to compete with the Maverick. I would love to see Subaru codevelop an off-roader with Toyota maybe using the 4Runner architecture.
Are they good these days? I mean even at their worst most were still pretty good. But if you got "Lucky" in a bad way, you could have a money pit. My nephew has a 2012 and him mom has a 2015. Both Outbacks. Knock on wood, engines run fine. But, I always think they are ticking time bombs.
We have a new Forester and a GR86, which is made by Subaru in the Gumno plant in Japan. Both are awesome! The tech in the Forester is leading edge. What is surprising is the fuel econ, with city mile age of 32.8 mpg in the GR/BRZ and a very surprising 35.2 mpg with the Forester. Power in both is excellent as the ride and quietness. The new changes should ignite more interest in the brand. That will pretty much depend on marketing efforts and auto press interest which is currently fixated on EV's which aren't doing that well and are not delivering on the promise. Frankly, there are far better results to be had by investing in infrastructure improvements as computerized traffic control that keeps "ALL" traffic moving, reducing pollution and greatly improves fuel econ and vehicle life vs. the expected 1-2% market penetration of EV's over the next decade. Go Subaru, built to last.
As long as they would use the multi layer gasket, it would be fine. That can be bought and installed, but too bad Subaru went cheap. I should know, I'm going though the head gasket BS right now on my 2011 legacy. Instead of a head gasket replacement, it is cheaper to by a rebuilt engine from one of the many companies out there who are selling them.
So the Crosstrek Wilderness is 6 inches higher than the normal version, eh? How about 0.6 inches. Let's see. From 8.7 inches for the normal Crosstrek to 9.3. Yah, point six inches.
I rented a subaru forester and the experience was NOT THAT GREAT! Too stiff and the mpg was just terrible. I returned it 2 days later for a more fuel efficient and confort vehicle. And i never look back to that bad experience.
I've had 3 Foresters, but now down to 2......my favorite driver is just an old 2010 Forester that is not pretty, but is thoroughly enjoyable to me as I keep piling on the miles. I'm too old and leery of all the modern hi-tech stuff that is now being sold.....and, I'm just not sufficiently impressed, especially when the narrative is spit out by a new fangled computing machine. Couldn't they find ANYBODY who speaks English to dub in the details.............arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!
The 2009-13 Foresters were the best looking SUV's ever. They were small and nimble with a very pleasing Europeanish aesthetic- read: very clean sheetmetal without the various crumple lines and creases that characterize modern Japanese sheetmetal. Overall these were in my opinion one of the most beatitiful SUV's ever produced. The only minor deficiency was a slightly too soft suspension for my liking, especially in the rear.
Neither the Brat or the Baja was a great seller (I had a Brat). Feels like using Toyota for cost sharing on a common platform will give them a modest seller.
I'm just here to see if subaru is bringing back the Forester XT or getting rid of the trashy CVT......looks like I'll continue my plan of moving to mazda
Shows four-door brat then repeatedly tells us that it's only going to come with two doors so you can have a larger bed. Why can't they give us a taste of what it's actually going to look like!?
Bleah! Just a long advertisement, with the usual AI mispronunciations. If they ever fix the oil circulation system on the boxer engines, I might consider a Subaru. But not until.
This is AI generated click bait. There are a lot of these types of vids with the same format that is in a robotic voice and sounds like they are just reading from Subaru's press release.
Subaru is jumping the shark. All misshapen blocky cartoon cars. No news on the Legacy sedan? The Legacy is in dire need of a sleek European sedan restyle. Think in terms of a smaller Subaru-version of the Monteverdi High Speed 375. Subaru can F up the other models but, the Legacy needs to be the Responsible Adult of the brand.
I love Subaru but hated when they switched to CVT Trashmission. Its no longer long term reliabilites. I will not want to own one but maybe lease 1 for 2 years then let the sucker do the cvt replacement.

Can we please get rid of the AI narrative? Thumbs down.

The longest advertisement in history. Nauseating.
Crosstrek in the U.K. is pitiful with 136 BHP dropped from the previous savage 150 BHP. If more power I would buy one tomorrow.
True
I read last week no Baja or brat. What is this about

Winning would be putting out something that doesnt Blow Headgaskets!!!!!!
haven't had head gasket issues for years!

I've owned four Subarus, two Outbacks and two Foresters. Never had a head gasket problem.

I get between 36 and 40 mpg on the highway
Are they finally getting rid of the CVT gearbox?
We need 300+ HP Engine and make Subaru Crosstreak 0-60 5 second
An STI version of other models would be dope

Tune a 3.6R and call it a day, routinely comes out at 320hp with headers
i have driven a XT Outback with the 2.4T, It has quite a lot of power paired with the ratios of the CVT

Subaru could've built an Outback based truck many years ago
Their AWD will still be meh off road without a transfer case, and will absolutely suck off-road with a CVT.

Gotta love the roboreaders....
Their is knot a turbo in brz. You are mistaken

The typos and mispronunciations are hilarious! Great way to not be taken seriously.

Stop bad mouthing the transmission ..... it is wonderful.... I am on my fourth (80 years old) and no repeat no problems .... looking again.

The future of content creation and narration is -- robots!
Needs a new better engine.
That is why I would NEVER buy one.
But I am sure your vehicle will never have any engine issues.
