Your book Bare Bones Tarot has brought it all together for me. I’ve played around with Tarot for years without truly understanding. When I did make some progress I would just get freaked out. Your book took all the fear away and I am blown away at how my intuition has skyrocketed to success never experienced before.
Minor Arcana: 4 Elements: Space = Fire = Awareness = Wands Time = Air = Experience = Swords Energy = Water = Conversion = Cups Matter = Earth = Behaviour = Coins We employ awareness to learn from our experience. Then we employ what we have learned from experience to dream our experience, then experience our dream, thereby converting potentiality into actuality. Aces: 1's Coins = new situations, circumstances, alliances Cups = new relationships, values Swords = new ideas, perspectives Wands = new possibilities, potentials Being aware of being aware is our inherent Wholeness of Being, unmodulated by the 5 senses, thus unfettered, which is the resonant frequency closest in alignment with the frequency of the all-inclusive Absolute where all things are possible (Wisdom and Understanding). Since change is the only constant here it can only move in two directions: for the better or for the worse. 2's = directions, trajectories, balance: Wholeness of Being is expressed dynamically as balance, equilibrium, equanimity. Change is directional, moving in trajectories generated by choice. Therefore, directions and trajectories can be influenced by choice. The rhythm of Life is a movement and a rest. 3's. = Choices: Each experience of each day is 'both' the fruit of yesterday's choices 'and' the seed choices of tomorrow's experience. The 3 Forces or threads that weave every manifestation: 1. 1st Force = Aim, goal, potential for actualization 2. 2nd Force = World, resistance, opposition 3. 3rd Force = Creative Intelligence bringing competence, expertise and finesse to nuanced neutralization of resistance, to actualize the potential and thereby complete one's aim. Adrift in an ocean of infinite information, the brain instinctively distorts, deletes and generalizes, to reduce what would otherwise be chaos and overwhelm to something manageable. The optimum (Heaven) is always found somewhere between the extremes of too much and too little (hell). Ultimately, our only significant choice is between the attitudes of unconscious compulsive reaction and conscious creative response. Every choice we make generates a corresponding timeline of experience. 4's = Timelines: In any timeline what we experience are the qualities of our perceptions. Every perception is to some extent memory. Every memory is to some extent imagination. If the resulting narrative needs to be changed, change perspective. Is it a limit or a creative guideline? No wrong answer - only a choice. 5's = Impressions: How we represent our impressions derived from the 5 modalities of sensory experience has an impact on our inner state of Being. The brain employs distortion, deletion and generalization to represent the impressions we receive as perceptions. 6's = Interpretations = what we experience are the qualities or submodalities of our perceptions. Qualities are how the brain answers the questions of who, what, how, how much, how well, why, where and when, for identification. Visual qualities include size, shape, color, distance, etc. Auditory qualities include pitch, duration, volume, timber, cadence, etc. Kinesthetic qualities include pressure, intensity, location, extent etc. 7's = Metaprograms: The brain derives the meaning of a perception from the driving submodalities that change our inner state as they change. Bigger, brighter and closer can make a happy image or memory feel even happier to a Visual. Louder or softer can be music to the ears of the Audio. A friendly hug can feel touching and heartwarming to a Kinesthetic. Metaprograms provide the context of meaning: Inner/Outer More/Less Better/Worse For/not For 8's = Strategies: Our responses consist of combinations of see, hear and feel. One might see an image, inner or outer, tell them self something about it, then feel a certain way as a result. Another might hear something, generate a corresponding image and feel a certain way. Yet another might feel something, generate a corresponding image and tell them selves something about it that matches how they feel. The possible combinations is vast. Feeling stuck usually means that we have lost conscious access to one of the 3 main modalities. Regaining conscious access restores balanced perspective to resolve the issue. 9's = Options: alternatives, equivalents. opportunities. Recognition of the opportunity hidden in every necessity. 10's = calibrations: Any of the numbers can be calibrated ever nearer to the Hearts desire, treating all outcomes as a biofeedback loop or magic mirror, reflecting our current inner state of Being, each outcome regarded as a dream segment for interpretation. Page = neophyte, novice, beginner's mind. Mindful. Learning how to learn from experience. Initiative. Knight = apprentice = intermediate level of comprehension. What is known of Reality (That which is) experientially. Knowledge. Queen = adept = advanced level, full Understanding, clarity, knowing how to apply knowledge. King = Mastery = Wisdom, competence, expertise, finesse in application of Understanding.
I see this as a couple that had the IDEA of having a child, then the CHOICE to have it. They CREATE by raising this child and then it becomes STABLE , until they become teens and everything CHANGE/CHALLENGES, which they all PERSEVERE and become CONFIDENT and the family ADVANCES, The child succeeds in his own accomplishments school/job and that is the phase where the parents feel that they finally ATTAINED something and then when the child is ready to have their own lives, it is then the final COMPLETION After that, they now seek a New Path, New Actions with Patience and Knowledge - After completion, its sprouts a New Path, new actions like moving to a smaller home, or new place, no hurry, Patient and now filled with Knowledge of have lived a full cycle and completed.
This actually is the best take on tarot I have ever come across in nearly 30 years of reading tarot. Cuts out all the crap and really takes in back to basics. Love it! At first it was hard to swallow but since I found your channel I just keep coming back. Now after watching this one for about the 10th time lol It REALLY does make a whole load of sense mate. Anyone new to cards no matter the system be it Thoth, TDM or RW listen to this guy, chuck out your books and just start reading and enjoying the medium. AeonHorus

I started with a Marseille deck and in order to get to know the minor arcana well i started studying the waite tarot and now i feel I am more capable of dealing with the marseille deck minor arcana. I have to say that the Major Arcana of Marseilles is superb !

I've been self studying and experimenting with the Tarot over about the last 2 1/2 years a friend suggested I look into the Tarot as I had previously worked with Elder Futhark Runes. At first I was like well Ok, Didn't expect to connect well , but found I did feel a connection . I found the Rider Wait to be good learning deck. I've found your video's to blend well with my way of learning , now that I'm semi -retired I have more free time to study with less obligations weighing on my mind. I tried interpreting Marsellie deck from internet graphics but would get nothing with Minor Arcana , but I believe with your Quick Reference List, my using meaning list to get down basic meanings of numbers, suite and and such I will get better . Random, I relate the how the chart of a main meaning in this video branches out to other related concepts with my genealogy hobby A family tree .
I literally stopped so many times in between the video to tell people all around me that is the best way to learn. I now think that I won't atleast forget the basics.

I like your approach to The Minor Arcana and the way you see the progress from aces to 10. On the other hand, when we look at pictures from Rider Waite deck (especially Swords 9,10 ) they are not so "optimistic".
My thought exactly. Mostly with the nine of swords meaning “attainment” How could we match the nine of swords with attainment? By overthinking, you have attained anxiety, depression along with sleepless nights and nightmares? Guess it makes sense.

Your method is a state of the art explanation of the minor arcana... !!! I started with a Marseille deck and in order to get to know the minor arcana well i started studying the waite tarot and now i feel I am more capable of dealing with the marseille deck minor arcana. I have to say that the Major Arcana of Marseilles is superb !

I've been self studying and experimenting with the Tarot over about the last 2 1/2 years a friend suggested I look into the Tarot as I had previously worked with Elder Futhark Runes. At first I was like well Ok, Didn't expect to connect well , but found I did feel a connection . I found the Rider Wait to be good learning deck. I've found your video's to blend well with my way of learning , now that I'm semi -retired I have more free time to study with less obligations weighing on my mind. I tried interpreting Marsellie deck from internet graphics but would get nothing with Minor Arcana , but I believe with your Quick Reference List, my using meaning list to get down basic meanings of numbers, suite and and such I will get better . Random, I relate the how the chart of a main meaning in this video branches out to other related concepts with my genealogy hobby A family tree .

I like your approach to The Minor Arcana and the way you see the progress from aces to 10. On the other hand, when we look at pictures from Rider Waite deck (especially Swords 9,10 ) they are not so "optimistic".
My thought exactly. Mostly with the nine of swords meaning “attainment” How could we match the nine of swords with attainment? By overthinking, you have attained anxiety, depression along with sleepless nights and nightmares? Guess it makes sense.

This was a wonderful explanation of the minors. However, I would have liked to have learned more about your personal perspective on the cards that buck the trends, ie 3 of swords, 9 of swords and 10 of swords etc etc. I would also love to know your perspective of the cards in more detail generally.
