Girl the idea of working with 1 patient is awesome my biggest concern is I am by MYSELF but being in someone's home is uncomfortable for me

i really want to avoid nursing homes im not ready to tackle 12+ pt that’s overwhelming and dealing with work bullies i’m definitely going for HHA 1:1 night shift that seems so much better but my own worry is i don’t have a car.. are there options where we can’t drive pt places or even take paid ubers by agency? i knew a girl who got hired without having a car and not even a usa citizen getting paid good. i have hope but still uncertain

I got hired for HH and I don’t even have a car. So you can get a HH without a car.

Do you plan to keep advancing in healthcare?
I know you mentioned LPNs and RNs coming to check on patients but I've heard that LPNs also can be in charge of a patient the whole day, so I wonder what they do? Do they do CNA job too?

Great question! Yes, I do plan on moving up the ladder, but I never really heard of LPNs stay the whole time with a patient. Maybe, they chose to do that and if they do, they’ll definitely do CNAs job.

How about our safety? We are entering someone’s home where they know the outline of their home, which for the most part we wouldn’t. What would the agency have in place to keep us safe? I have a little paranoia.

I agree with you hon, the agency most give the workers heads up about the whereabouts they’re sending their people. Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions. You have your rights too and remember, you have your rights to refuse a patient too. 🥰🥰
