HAA's should get pay a lot more! Their salary is between 20,000 and 25,000 a year , that's a rip off for them, they're pretty much doing everything for this people taking care of them like babies. Very unfair to me

Andres uruguayo I’m starting to notice that..the more school = more pay = less work lol.. but from the looks of this i can tell it beats workin in a warehouse I’m thinking of medical trade school programs . And this pays about the same as a warehouse with less work? I was working 50-60 hr weeks for about 3 years at United cold storage Slave away to see 1,510$ every 2 weeks

Compassion is the word, I remember when I started my first day, the carer I was working with, told me that I was not allowed to talk to the customer and I was like daaa......she is human and it could have been me in that chair and I'd wish that someone caring for me to talk me🤔......so I kept doing what I thought it was right to be done. After few days the other carer started copying my style and that was nice to see because the customer become more cheerful and helpful in everything......treat them the way you would wish to be treated if you were in their shoes 💞💞💞

I've been a CNA for 16 years and I have been thinking about going to home health care. I enjoy my work but I am honestly burn out on nursing homes and the rat race of taking care of twenty people. I have arthritis in both of my knees now and I can't keep up with the running that is required in ltc. I think home health would be a lot easier on my body and it's slower paced. I would love to give care and help an elderly person out around their home. I would also like to get home at a decent hour instead of late at night like I've had to do so much over the years. the more I think about home health the more I want to do it.

lynn edwards I'm 28 and I've successfully ran a marathon but my job as a male cna for the past nearly 8 yrs at a long term care facility is causing a constant feelings of fatigue and burn out. I'm curious about turning to home health although my facility has taken care of the laundry and cooking services in the past causing some feelings of hesitation. Anyone else in a similar situation?

Fuck that!!! I've worked at nursing homes and in home and let me tell y'all!!!! Working in home is way less stressful and you work the hrs thats convenient for you.some nursing homes or hospitals may pay more but for the most part CNAs are paid along the same lines. Now i will give you this little tip, work for an agency thats high ranked and has PLENTY of client's to go around so your never going without a paycheck💰💰..or in other words waiting for a client to care ❤for...I say give it a try😁 you can always go bk to a facility if you dont like working one on one because we ALL know they stay under staff

You can always hire people to do the work for you and also buy a home to bring in your own seniors citizens who are in need of care. It doesn't have to be a huge amount... 4 - 6 seniors.

HHA's don't take care of the client's pets or anyone else in the home. Only the assigned client is who you take care of and nothing more than that. You follow the care plan for the client and that's it.

This is Embarrassing to pay someone that cooks and clean an elderly person home, as well as wash them cleaning shit changing diapers. To have them drive home to home for $10 hr in some states, that not enough money to fix your car, at least in NYC they went on strike and got more money and better benefits.

I’am interested in the home health aide career. Maybe nursing homes too but I just don’t know where to start to begin. I think googling places and calling around can be a good start and taking notes down as I call around can help me. I’am also not CNA certified yet. And don’t know if I have to be.
