Berhalter has to go. He need to be fired years ago honestly.
I tried to fight it for a long time but I think you guys proved me wrong.
The most pressing issue for the USMNT is the lack of depth on the team. The defensive positions are especially weak. If Richards or Ream get injured there is a big drop in quality. Why can't we find one decent goalkeeper? We used to be able to produce world class goal keepers.

Until the U.S. changes the pay-to-play model in youth soccer, I doubt we will achieve significant success. Players like Messi, Pelé, and Maradona might never have become soccer stars if they had grown up in the U.S with this system.

They need to stop playing CONCACAF stay in copa America doesn’t matter if they lose at the beginning playing better competition will make them better which means better tournaments for them and maybe in 8 to 12 years
Biggest problem is that soccer isn’t being played in our hoods. Only basketball and football is. Until the sport gets more popular in America we’re never gona have the best talent only want to play this sport.

@@gabrielmaurigades3612the point is that USA needs to develop players that come from a low income background. Those players would be more motivated and train harder to be better than suburban kids that would try as hard. Those low income kids play basket ball and football and thus develop what’s necessary to make it in those sports. If the played soccer they would develop leaner and more agile plus develop stamina and more skillful with the ball. Instead of weight strength and speed only. The problem is that those underprivileged kids don’t care to play soccer and that might never change to be honest. It’s just not part of the American culture to like soccer. The majority of the ones that like it are foreigners in this country or second or third generation kids of those foreigners

The problem is US federation not investing is youth soccer. You can have any coach you want and you’ll still have the same results. Getting klop is like putting a bandage on a bullet wound.
How is the US going to get someone like Klopp when you’d have to pay the women’s coach exactly the same?

Because we are The United States we try to make our citizens happy we do not always select the most skilled and game IQ players. Our decision making is not good, movement without the ball is terrible, and to many touches without any purpose, and freaking finish!!!!!

Need someone to stop coddling guys like Pulisic and Weah. You think Bradley and Arena coddled Donovan and let him make decisions for the team. And Pulisic hasn't accomplished 1/4 what Donovan did in a US shirt. The only thing that went wrong was Weah's red card. We never beat top ranked teams. What was embarrassing about losing to Uruguay? Berhalter never beats top teams. The hiccup was the bonehead play by Weah getting the red card. We beat Panama and we're through gloriously losing in the fourth game. Anybody here think we would beat Colombia? We just have unrealistic expectations as US fans.

Berhalter is at fault for creating an environment where Dest and Weah get those absurd red cards. He is trying to be their friend and not holding them accountable. He's not a real leader. A real leader would put these egos in check and change the attitude that leads to those cards. Neither was a red card from a bad tackle, they were two egos losing their heads because they aren't held to account.
