Hey Simon - earlier, you mentioned the 'roll cage' behind the AA gun. That tubular structure stops an excited gunner from shooting up the boat - it deflects the barrel up and away from other positions. Note the smaller versions on the .50 cal 'tubs' and how they stop the barrels from being trained into the command 'bridge' or another gunner. Fabulous build.
I built mine after a 45 year hiatus from modeling and at the time I had not yet procured an air brush. I painted it by hand and it came out quite well although it was very time consuming.
FYI....PT Boats on WWll didnt have a bridge like bigger ships. it was called the cockpit, also all PTs were called boats not ships as ships refer to larger vessles.
Why post a model when you don't know how to accurately build the thing? At the time of her loss, the 109 didn't have a boat's mast, aft torpedo tubes and the 37mm army gun lashed to the deck still had it's wheels. As for the Italeri kit itself, you've missed all of the kit's inaccuracies, and there are a ton of them. What you have here is one shitty model build by someone who doesn't have a clue as to what they're doing.
