If you like that, go for it. Thanks for sharing your experience. However, grilled sandwiches are traditionally done on a full flat surface to crisp the butter or mayo on the bread.
i just got mine and i cant wait to use with with the whole family at once. how would you go about throwing in some tater tots to the air fryer while cooking these grilled cheese? would you cook those first or is there a way to do it while cooking the sandwich?
Hello, have fun and experiment. I imagine there is enough room for both, but of course the gator tots will be baking instead of air frying as the sandwiches should be suing the sear plate functions. You likely will be opening the oven to flip the sandwiches as well, so not sure how that will affect the tots. But they are just tots and if you mess them up no big deal. learning what you can do with the oven is the win. Thanks for watching and commenting and hope you will check out all my content.
hi, You can do it the same way, but as it doesn't have the sear plate, you might need a small cookie sheet sort of tray. I have links in my Amazon 'store' for a silicone type cookie sheet that might work, but it is flexible. Should work though. We use it all the time on the rack and because it is black and gets hot, I suspect it might help with a sort of sear. IDK. But definitely getting a metal pan and preheating it would do so. But to be honest, I personally feel that even though one can do a grilled cheese in the oven, a stove top is easier for flipping.
I think a chicken would be too tall. Perhaps if you butterfly it and lay it flat. But I have not tried one. I just get mine from Costco already done. lol
Can be depending on how clean you want it. If you want to keep like new then it will be a chore. ;). But a light wipe down level from time to time, not so bad. I use a magic eraser to help. Unplug and rinse well.
My oven is packed for months as I am moving so I don’t recall all of the possibilities. But I think they are for the thermometer. Presets for various meats. Doneness for rare/well done temp and manual…for well…manual. ;)
That is perfect!
Thanks...I am going to change the way I've been doing my grilled cheese in the Ninja.
Nice! Thanks for letting me know!
are you sure your not in my head I was just thinking about adding this to my baked potato meal lol thanks again
LOL, I do what I can to help. ;)
we do grill cheese open face on sear plate once the cheese is melted put the sandwich together no flipping - and the bread nice and toasted
great method!
I find that putting them on the rack vs the grill pan and setting it to air roast works best

Just got myy Foodie and loving it. .I like how many other gadgets it replaced on my counter. Keep those foodie recipes coming please.

Oh my!!! Thanks. That is so appreciated.
Griddle just heats the sear plate, no airflow.
Sear crisp is a hybrid of griddle and air fry
Thanks
I never thought to do that...THAMKS!
:). Lots of uses for this little oven
darn, I just got the SP101 and I'm looking for a good video on how to cook a grilled cheese in there LOL

Great idea for breakfast , will definitely try it!
Hope you enjoy
I think the dashes just light up like the bottom half of the analog numbers
:)
Hi, Did you cook the bacon, before grilling the sandwich? Nice clear info. Thanks...
Yea. Please cook all ingredients you put on a grilled cheese first and definitely bacon. :). Hope You enjoy it!
Those confusing bars are apparently a pre heat indicator….. not preheated until they disappear
correct, but as they don't communicate anything except 'still preheating' they are a bit odd. Thanks for watching and commenting!!!
Thank you

Where did you get the sear tray and will it work in the Ninja Foodi SP101?
The sear tray is included in newer models. I upgraded to the model SP350. You can look at my unboxing and comparison video to learn more.
Hi Sir. Can we roast a small whole chicken ( Asian chicken 🤔) in there? Thank you.
I think a chicken would be too tall. Perhaps if you butterfly it and lay it flat. But I have not tried one. I just get mine from Costco already done. lol
Is it hard to clean?

Dashes show the progress of the preheat.
Yeah but I’m. It sure if they have actual time or temp meaning. I figured when they were all lit up it was ready though. ;)
What are the preset, doneness, and manual buttons for?
My oven is packed for months as I am moving so I don’t recall all of the possibilities. But I think they are for the thermometer. Presets for various meats. Doneness for rare/well done temp and manual…for well…manual. ;)
@@MrAndMrsBanks thanks and good luck unpacking.
