That is very admirable that you want to be a good listener for your children. Some parenting styles don’t consider children as having feelings and opinions too. Adrian Rogers would say at times to be fair, faithful, firm and fun when parenting. 😊
Thank you! I feel like if I can teach them that their feelings are important to me now, they will be more likely to talk to me when they are teenagers and adults because they know I value their feelings. I hope I can do that!
Aww I love hearing your doggy barking! I grew up with collies and I miss having one so much! I'd love to see him in the video! lol. But I understand not wanting him to hog the camera! 🤣I need to get me some American Girl books. I'm especially interested in reading Kit Kitteridge. I find the great depression so interesting. I remember reading The Secret Garden as a kid over and over. Such a good story! ❤ You're a great mom!!!
He is full of energy! I may do a video with him in it later! I need to wait until he is tired and sleepy lol. The American Girl books were some of my favorites when I was a kid. It’s fun to reread them. I LOVE watching the Waltons ( set in the depression). Thank you!😊
I dipped into Cheney Duvall. She’s spunky. She wasn’t going to leave without quinine. 😂 That exchange was funny. I just gotta get through Sophie’s Heart. 😍
NARNIA!!!!! WWII is also typically not my favorite time period, but I discovered the Heroines of WWII series, which are a bunch of unconnected books by different Christian authors, and I've really loved the two of those I've read. They really took me by surprise.
Great list of possibilities! Agnes Gray is great, can't wait to hear what you think. If I weren't already behind on all of my reading I would crash the buddy read of My Cousin Rachel. But alas, I need to finish all the things I'm in the middle of.
🤣🤣🤣 maybe I can film a video with him sometime! I have to wait until he’s tired lol. Otherwise he probably will knock over my phone and books and create general chaos 🤣

That Lynn H Blackburn book sounds so good - I really want to try and read it sometime. ❤
It was so good!
Oh I didn't realize Yesterday's Tides was set on Ocracoke Island!! Now I wanna read it! I don't typically read world War stories either
Yes! It sounds interesting.
You may know this already. Katherine Reay’s book Dear Mr. Knightly is a take on Daddy Longlegs. 😊
I didn’t know that! Wow, that’s so cool. Now I definitely want to read that.
