#FANTOM-0
Can you assign a volume pedal to a single tone in a scene so you could, for example, fade in a brass patch for a chorus and then back out for the verse?
Thanks for putting out these guides, my Fantom 08 arrives in a few days and I can't wait. Question - will you eventually support the n/zyme synth as an expansion in the Fantom 0 series?
Can I assign a pedal to advance through a set list?
Just wondering if you've gotten any answer on this. I would think you can but just not 100% sure. If so, can you go up and down in the set list? My Kronos only allows up.
Hi Ed. Great video. I have an expression pedal that defaults into the center zone (about 64 on cc) and want to use if for pitch bend. But the Roland OS recognizes the default state of that pedal (cc 64 as "half bent" lol). Is there a way to have the Fantom understand that the 64 midpoint from the expression pedal is the 0 point between bend-up and bend-down. Using an external controller with a default-point at the center (64) causes the Fantom to detune relative to the rest of my gear. Any suggestions for a fix?
How can I separate the sustain from an split
BCS I have a piano on the rh side on the left bass but every time I hit the pedal the bass also stays holding the sound
Does anyone know how to assign a variable speed rotary thats controlled by a F7 Foot pedal?
Is there any way to assign the hold pedal to a particular zone? I want to play with a split bass and not have the hold pedal activate on the bass section.
I appreciate the in depth guides for the Fantom 0. I read the manual but having it explained in a video makes things clearer and your videos are straight to the point. Keep it up!
Please slow down and explain what it is you are doing every time you touch a button or dial.
Can i use a EV-5 pedal for variabel rotery speed??
Saving pedal config at scene level... sweet!!!!
Hi Ed, how can I assign a pedal to control the Rhythm Pattern? To change from Intro to Verse to Fill In and so fort… Does Roland missed to add this pedal control? Please HELP. Thanks
Hello i bought Roland Fantom 6.I have issue with exp pedal(tried variable models). The issue is that i play with one scene and let say that acutal volume od the scene is 70%,ahe i select another scene, volume is up to 100%.i must press exp volume pedal to minimum and then makenit up to desired volume. Otherwise its 100%.What should i do?
These are great videos and I learned alot from these. I have one question. I assigned an expression pedal to control volume on my O6. How can I adjust this pedal to control volume without affecting the original volumes set in a scene. That is, if I have a scene with piano in zone 1 volume set at 100 and strings in zone 2 with volume set at 75, when I use my expression pedal the volumes are changed to play the same levels for both (both zones now have the same level). How do I retain the same differences in volumes of both zones so that the levels differences are maintained and still controlled by my expression pedal?
I hope this will finally work with my expression pedal (for the rotary). It's not a click pedal, but one that has small increments.
You post videos but don't answer questions in the comments section. @Ed Diaz you still have a log of unanswered questions on the video you did assigning pedals for the Roland FA. A few years later you're here again with another video and once again you don't respond to questions in the comments section.
I just got the RPU3 today for my Fantom-08... I definitely suggest getting this. It makes this keyboard so much better
Hi Mike; i tried to programm the RPU3 Pedal with my brandnew FANTOM 07; if i use the Programming SYS; and also some on SCENE; i found out that some Organ.Sounds don't react to the Programming to get the "ROTARY Speed" Function; could you possibly tell me, why this is so and what i could do, to get all the Organ Sounds ready for ROTARY Speed!? THANKS my man.
@@marcneff2919 I honestly have no idea... Let me look into that after I get home from work. I'll message you back
Can you assign organ pedals and expression pedal?
I have a problem with the pedal. When I connect it to control 1, when I press the pedal, no sound is heard at all. I entered the menu and in the polarity I changed the standard mode to reverse mode and then no sound is not heard at all, only if I press the pedal, then only hear
I want to use the pedal when I move from scene to scene to change the sound in a live performance without having to cut off when transitioning between scenes. But as mentioned, the pedal does not work properly.
Yo, Ed! These videos are great. It's really amazing how many of them there are. Thanks so much!
Thanks Ed, this was super helpful in getting my sostenuto and soften pedal going!
I bought a Roland RPU-3 for my Fantom 08 and to make it function like the pedals on my piano teachers grand piano. I want from the left to right Soft Pedal - Sostenuto - Sustain. I put control 1 to soft control 2 to sostenuto but the 3 pedal which for sustain. Is this the Hold control? How do I get it to sustain until I let off the pedal?
Yea that's what that is
Thanks for guide. Keep it up.
I would be great if you could add bass pedals to it
Something like a Studiologic MP-113 MIDI bass pedal? Would that work?
