Best Video so far Ed. You solved every problem I found so far in this one video - especially the octave for the Lead synths (brass in the split I was trying to create for Stevie's I Wish). I'm getting fonder of this instrument by the day!

Great tutorial as always Ed. And your playing sounds great! I know that wasn't the point of the video. But nice chords, licks and basslines.

Lol. I was half expecting you to call him out over his dropped notes and shocking Polyphony. You've put quite the dent in Roland sales here. Keep it up.

@@libertylizard_ The funny thing about this for me was that it was a youtube video that made this thing finally look so cool that I went for it, and it was Darrick's youtube video I saw only after ordering that made me think twice. At any rate, I agree with him here. I love to learn about the instrument so I can take full advantage, but I also just love listening to Ed play just as much. Every time he touches the keys I am excited to hear what's coming.

I can do all this when I have Local Switch on and am playing from the keyboard. But if I record to my DAW and play back to the Fantom (on channel 1), I only get the first tone. Is it only possible to play a split from the local keybed?

Can I split zone 2 and have 2 registers for organ with lower end having different drawbar settings from the upper keyboard?

Is it possible to take each layer split and adjust the octaves for each separate from the other? Say I want the keyboard split down the middle but both sides play in the same keys.

You need to disable scene remain to use channel 8-16. This is one of the limitations of this device.

@@audiophil719 so, does that mean when you change zones the sound is cut?

@@Phant0mK16 yes, with scene remain sound changes are not cut, but you have only 8 channels.
To get to the other 8 channels you must disable scene remain.
One more thing. Switching from and to Tone wheel organ is always cut. That bothers me the most.
