Love these spods again personal preference Can’t see point in smaller one As I use 13 ft spod rod. Yet the wolf spomb has been my go to over last 2 years Super robust and casts like a dream
Love that Luke at 2:30 - “so they open just like that” …. Then opens it with his hands 😂 Think I might give these a go this summer as always getting problems with my spombs with even the tiniest bit of particle, opening up as you cast giving you a shower of hemp corn and boilie 😂 or mid flight - gets expensive, especially when boilie fishing.
I started using the competition spod after my fox one broke and it is a much better piece of kit, my only criticism is that you need to fill it with heavy contents ie boilies or particle, when I tried dry pellets or corn it wouldn’t open, is that a problem just for me or is this normal?
@@davehibb not the end of the world, I just put a bit of liquid in to weigh it down, problem solved 👌 just wasn’t sure if it was a common problem or just me 🤷♂️
Not used a spod before, been mostly a boillie angler, or pellet. Is there a spod that opens up just befor impact? To deliver a wide scattering of particles and attractants? Bit of a scatter bomb effect? Only ask as have a spot that’s shallow (maybe 3-4ft and beyond ball of ground bait distance) and I need the carp with there heads down rooting about, hunting over time, and not just easy grazing on piles. Any ideas anyone?
I’ve had one since they first came out, can’t fault it, on another note sure I see a baby bird nesting in Luke’s beard, fuck me he puts ZZ Top to shame
liquid would flood out of mine as its not sealed further up the spod huge gaps, don't bother me tho as i don't use liquids as its a waste of money, otherwise its a great spod
Really good. Wasn't convinced it wouldn't even open, but it does and is really good! Really easy to fill too.

Love the X Spod... tends to open almost always, flies nicely and filling is quicker :)
I've got a couple of the competition ones. They are spot on on my 9ft rod. Much better than other brands
Great review 👍 I must try both, nice one.

Same with me Dosnt open a lot or it opens on casting when using particle
The green fox one for me as it already has abit weight to it
They fly like a ballistic missile. Unbelievable tool
Isn't it a spomb? Spod is the name of the rod what you use to cast the spomb, or am I wrong?
Think the spod is the old style with open bottoms
@@jimmymature1976 so the spod is a rod and a "rocket" at the same time...
Feels weird
I have one, no better than others.
I've got the large one, I've had it for over a year now and it's still working fine. Anyways what jacket are you wearing by the way please?? Thanks

The acc spomb ones are crap they never actually open
Cannot buy Wolf X Spod in Europe, or any item from Wolf in Europe, only in stores from UK.... Shame!
what country are you
@@mrtreacle7 im not a country... Im from Portugal
As an Englishman, I couldn't find bait machinery from anywhere but Europe, I still bought it though.
brought a fox one three cast and the hinge broke piece of crap
Ditto rubbish
I stamped on my fox one as it was so bad....bloody things never open👎🏼
Do not buy, only used it for about 8 spods, one of the arms snapped off, total rubbish, stick to spombs
