Who needs words when Voces8 is there with ooh.
I hope VOCES8 explores some more wordless compositions. There's a bunch of good ones to choose from, from composers like Lully, Rameau, Fauré, Ravel, Stravinsky, Rachmaninoff, Villa-Lobos, and some jazz. And film scores.
Nobody, that's who.
Don’t forget the ah. They’ve got a pretty mean ah as well.
Oh man, I would love more wordless film scores from them
I once heard it said that: “if art decorates space, then music decorates time” and listening to this piece whilst currently enduring the agony of losing someone I love really does bring this into perspective.
So sorry.
“When words fail, music speaks”...Hans Christian Anderson
Y’all they’re coming to my university tomorrow and I’m so nervous and our chamber choir is singing with them I am crying
Where is that?
@@mccammondwatts It's also 6696.34km away.
I saw the show: Voces8 was great as always, and you guys crushed the "Nunc Dimmittis"!
@@mccammondwatts how did it go???
Why oh why did I just hear about this??? Totally would have come -
Perfection. Faultless. I have been performing Chorally for 59 years and your performances never fail to move my old soul. I hope you realise how much you are enhancing my lifes experience
I couldn't have said it better.
@@sunflowerfields4409 Being moved by music makes my life more worthwhile. In a world so troubled we can find peace and tranquility every time we listen to such sheer beauty
A million times THIS. I agree wholeheartedly.
if i could hit "like" about a hundred times ...
@@emncaity You'd need to hit 'like' 99 times ..or it'd cancel to zero..of course
I had a hard day of teaching. Hearing this again, reminds me of why I love teaching music 😭 definitely had a good cry
Possibly the loveliest 2 minutes and 44 seconds of my life.
Is there a 10 hour version? Or an eternal version? My soul was laid down, and rested for a good 2 minutes and 44 seconds. Sublime.
Right click on the pause/play button on the video, then click "Loop".
I gotchu bro!
It’s stunning. They also did Arnald’s Partial and Nyepi tracks equally well
Amen.
Couldn't agree more, Chad. Eternal version, please. 😇
Haunting, yet elegant. I could put that on reset and listen all day.
Just have to listen several times a week. It's one of Voces 8's most sublime.
Amen
Quite possibly the most powerful emotion provoking 2 minuets 44 seconds I've ever heard.
Amidst the madness of all those news about the VIRUS my wounded heart got infected by the beauty of your voices. And was healed. Thank you...
They really immerse themselves into the music and feel every sound, every resonance and every harmony.
Sublime as ever
I so love this group xx
We need a 1-hour loop or even better, a 100-hour loop of this incredible song.
Listening to this while gazing up at Saturn in a clear, dark Michigan sky. Heavenly...
Wow. Tears in my eyes. That might be the most beautiful thing I have ever heard.
Voces8: a definition of beauty and perfection!
One big guy , reduced to a state of childlike wonderment . Deeply moved !
At the moment I'm listening to your songs, l feel the joy of life. Thanks
This is so beautiful. My mother and I shared the taste for this type of classical music. Music for big churches❤
Simply EXQUISITE, as always. I was a choral singer for years, now I'm a composer primarily, and your performances always find a way to touch a special part of my soul. Thank you.
Thank you. A thousand times.
This is so beautiful. I can't stop listening to it. Ólafur Arnalds and VOCES8, it's just too good.
Love the bear with the berretta in the background :)
Me apaixonei por vocês!!!
Acabo de redescobrir a música de maneira arrebatadora!!!
Vida longa a todos vocês!!!
No need for words, just plenty of feels... emotions... it makes one dive deep into the inner recesses of one's heart and soul. Thank you, Voces8, for bringing Olafur's arrangement to life.
Thank you, good souls.
Beautiful! I would love to watch and hear you sing Ave Maris Stella, if possible, please. It's my favourite piece to hear in your voices. Here in Brazil acapella/classical music is not very appreciated and it isn't part of our culture, unfortunately. There are a few orchestras around, but we have to look for people like you on the internet if we want to hear something different like this. Thank you for being such a wonderful source of inspiration. Keep doing the amazing work!
I’ve listened to many Voces8 presentations on UA-cam and continue to be amazed not only by the talents of the singers but by the sound editors that can capture, mix, and make each video so complete.
No need for words ... full fantastic👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏as wide as the sky
Haunting...beautifully haunting.
La musique d'Olafur Arnalds mérite bien VOCES8 ! !
Stunningly beautiful. Love how all voices come together gradually to build the feels and theme of d song.
beautiful, thank you! - a magical moment of peace in the morning.
なんて、優しさに包まれた響きなのでしょう。みなさんの真ん中に立って生で聴きたい。
Fabulous group. Saw them when they came to South Australia and now follow them
this is beyond good, it's more then gorgeous... unbelievable, it touches my soul and my existence, it makes you think about something deep within us all.
This pretty much brought me to my knees. Almost cried. The power of the sounds is beyond words. Amazing, amazing
What a calming peaceful song
This grabs me by the heart. Thanks Voces8! You're wonderful.
Eu sou do Brasil e acompanho o canal de vocês, parabéns...

Unearthly beauty! Thank you all!
Oh pls the oohh, such a beauty, I could hear every note, resonating gently🤩 who needs the words when voce8 is here to hoooo🥰
Stunning!
Beautiful ethereal sounds together with the harp. Thank you.
I just watched Ólafur Arnalds tiny desk performance yesterday, so this is a welcome surprise.
@voces8 PLEASE make a Playlist on your UA-cam channel, so that we may listen to your truly wonderful creations back-to-back without manual intervention!
The acustics are wonderful
The three women in the group are the perfect treble sound. What a blessing to Voces8 and to the millions that are spellbound by excellence
For me this song encapsulates humanity at its core. The imbalance of all things that comes with the good and bad of human beings. Every note and instrument played creates this masterpiece that shows the cries of humanity needing a savior that will free them of their own imperfect ways. Separately all elements are just notes that stand out in singular fashion but together they create this perfect understanding that there is not one element without the other. chaos order misery peace good bad love left right up down backwards forwards past present future hate life death. Too much of anything alone is bad for you. But together it’s what makes us human. Sung in a glorious harmonious sound I don’t think we’ll fully understand but is nonetheless pleasing to our ears. This song always brings tears to my eyes because I see both the extinction of humanity as well as hope for humanity as well. It’s bitter sweet.
Beautiful!
🇧🇷
Perfection...
Simple et pourtant magnifique !!!
Merci ....
Once again you move me ... this hits the very core of my being. Thank you.

Oh, love this!
In the middle of this hauntingly beautiful piece, I couldn't help but smile (at 1:11) at the little brown stuffed teddy bear wrapped in a white top, sitting and listening to you: so sweet!
Voces8 please sing in Brazil! I Will pray for that!
Your music is astonishing, marvelous! Many thanks, muito obrigada e D-us abençoe voces❤

Perfection! -in tuning, in location, in dynamics, in phrasing! Absolutely beautiful!
Yes! At last .... Seeing the recording being done with microphones in place gives a genuine and realistic sense of the vocalist's positions during the playback of the performance. Love this... very nearly like being there, in amongst the perfectness of it all :-) Bravo!
So intense and beautiful.
It's stupendous!!
Ethereal experience. One Like button doesn't even come close to appreciating this performance
