Hello! Driver and builder of Fluorine, Derin here.
Just here to provide some info on what went on during the 2 fights I had with Tappy here.
5:59 In the first fight, Tappy exploited a large weakness of the way I drive Fluorine after the weapon is completely stopped. This is the fact that after running away from the other robot, I completely stop moving while I get the weapon back up to speed, THEN start to drive again. This gives opponents a lot of time to grab me and ram me into a wall.
This pattern of run away, get rammed and pinned, run away again is what the first fight boiled down to. I was able to occasionally get a few good hits in, but they weren't anywhere near enough to win the fight when it went to the judges. I pretty much knew I had lost when the fight ended.
8:18 The second fight went a lot better lol. I'll be honest and say I didn't think I stood much of a chance in this fight either since I expected the exact same thing to happen. This time around I tried to NEVER STOP MOVING and never let Tappy line up a good shot at pinning me. This worked and I then kept trying to take shots where I could to keep Tappy away and let me reposition myself.
Steve and Carter, I would like to congratulate you on getting second place with a weaponless robot in a field that was filled with a lot of really damaging antweights, it really shows how well built and driven a bot Tappy McTapperson is! I look forward to facing you again in the future!

@@TeamJunkYardDog yeah I saw,unfortunate day for the beetle squad,will say tho I thought rougaroo beaten the pbk but that’s just me, hopefully the bugs get worked out and the beetle squad comeback stronger

Yea. He gave him too much time to spin up his weapon in the final and our steel rod holding the forks shattered.
