Absolutely not. Ever played a high end Tama kit? Stuff is sturdy af!! As Mr John Dolmayan once said, many years ago, while searching for a decent kit in a music store: as i played it, nothing moved. So i end up buying it. Epic.
He has brung new life to slipknot.im seeing them in a couple weeks.im actually excited about it. The last time I saw them live was 20 years ago. After the 3rd album I lost interest.
Hands down the best drummer in the world. I don’t care what anyone says, if you know anything about drumming you’ll agree that nobody is even close to him. An absolute monster with the most technical skills you’ll ever see. Utterly ridiculous. Im seeing him live in November.

Best thing about Eloy is not just the speed and the power, but that you can add on top of that he can go through the kit hitting some with damn power and others so softly with such precision to get the sound he wants that it makes you shiver! He's a BEAST!
if you have any doubts about how Eloy plays with his left leg, see the adaptation he had to make, after breaking his right leg in a show, and returning to the stage with Sepultura playing with his left. I, as a Brazilian, have to exalt this huge talent of ours

Andrew, of course I know him, but I´m always amazed. He´s such an unexpected combination of pure brutality and technique. He is so clean, but on the other hand, he´s so powerfull that he sounds like he wanna destroy the drums. Sounds like angry thunder! Great!

I don’t know if it can be overstated how musical an ear it requires to take such an iconic song with a drum part that’s so iconic to metal drummers and to pay homage to that drum part while also changing things a bit where you might have played something different if you were in the session. You can tell his changes to the original aren’t him TRYING to do something different because of how tasteful and musical they are. After 20 plus years as a metal drummer myself I find I appreciate musicality more and more over chops because I understand it more and more.

He have a parallel project with a brazilian guitarrist named Hanysz, the project name is Casagrande & Hanysz. It is a different style when comoared to Sepultura, and it may be a good react.

So, I just watched "Eloy Casagrande drum solo at 2011 Paiste Day LA" so that's my suggestion for the next Eloy reaction. I know you know who Aquiles Priester is so I'll just mention that he uploaded a cover of WASP's Chainsaw Charlie from the concept album The Crimson Idol with Frankie Banali (RIP). Aquiles is Frankie's replacement in the band since 2019 but it's the only WASP cover on his channel. The start of the video is Blackie announcing their 2022 tour.
Absolute powerhouse. One of those drummers I enjoy watching the most. And yes, he still has the groove and independence skill set, seen more recent videos of it. Power, dynamics and groove - a very complete drummer actually 💪🤘👍
its not just the power and speed, he's so fucking clean its unreal, clean like Pete Sandoval; there's a touch of Vinny Caliuata in Eloy's playing too -- just damn the cleanliness separates him from so many of his peers.

TVMaldita Presents: Luana Dametto - Aquiles Priester Drum Festival (2021) Drummer #16. Luana is the ex-drummer of female death metal trio Nervosa, she's currently the drummer of all female death metal band Crypta. She's fast, blast beats are common in their music, but unlike Eloy her movements are minimal.
Very clean and precise and this song and this album wasn't recorded with clicks. This guy's just nuts, he even did Phil Collins covers. His newer side projects are worth checking out to, it's Casagrande & Hanysz.

Nice. Saw this guy with Sepultura in '18 @ the Studio, K Road. Phenomenal! Igor Cavalera who he replaced is also next level & a very hard hitter & worth checking out. Especially the live version of Arise.
You made this video a year ago at the time of me watching it. Eloy not with Sepultura anymore. Left right before farwell tour to join another project (possibly slipknot, we could only hope). You need to check out the drumeo sessions he did before leaving Sepultura.... mind blowing stuff.

Wow! Just wow! I like these type of Playthrough’s where they leave the basic beats of the song but then add all there own extras saying that this is what I’d do to the song. I like that a lot more then watching someone copy it to the T still impressive don’t get me wrong but rather see it the other way. Great channel my friend keep it up! Binge watching now lol
You can check, and perhaps react to his side project called CASAGRANDE & HANYSZ where you will probably find some of the Latin influences you mentioned. It is still there, but he keeps it to his side projects, and less into his work with the top metal bands.
A Kiwi drinking DEANS??? awesome choice bud. I'm from Massachusetts and thats my staple coffee supply. I highly recommend Tree House Coffee Company, another Mass based company. Their coffee is even better than Deans, not sure if they ship to NZ or if you're even in NZ but nonetheless. They started as a beer brewery but started doing coffee and its all really high quality single origin light roast stuff; washed, honey, naturals, its all good. They have a strong relationship with NZ hop growers for their beers too.
I have seen Eloy play with Sepultura a few days ago. Every song ended with me unintentionally shouting out "oh my god!" because of Eloy. Was one of the most impressive drummers I have seen live ever. Along with Gavin Harrison (no need to introduce him anymore) plus a lesser known guy from Israel named Amir Bresler. He plays mostly Jazz I think, but he plays sometimes unbelieveably fast yet quiet and subtle. I that regard he is the opposite of the hard-hitter that Eloy is. All 3 Monsters in their own right in my opinion.

I have seen Eloy play with Sepultura a few days ago. Every song ended with me unintentionally shouting out "oh my god!" because of Eloy. Was one of the most impressive drummers I have seen live ever. Along with Gavin Harrison (no need to introduce him anymore) plus a lesser known guy from Israel named Amir Bresler. He plays mostly Jazz I think, but he plays sometimes unbelieveably fast yet quiet and subtle. I that regard he is the opposite of the hard-hitter that Eloy is. All 3 Monsters in their own right in my opinion.
