Indeed! A great technique and a timely reminder that Inspiration comes from many places! Sometimes that box helps.. sometimes it doesn't.. brill as always... THANKS DOC!!! Have a great week 🙏🕊️✨ PS nice to see he pushed them up on that deal!!! 😅
Actually a technique introduced to Queen by Brian May, used most notably in the harmonies of the Killer Queen guitar solo. He says he nicked the idea from old time jazz bands like The Temperance Seven.
great stuff as always doctor robert...i know we are both huge fans of mutt lange and jeff lynne but roy thomas baker is also top tier for me also; especially background/harmony vocals...queen, journey and even his stuff with the cars is all very cool; thanks for sharing...blessings alwayzz
Excellent! Just for interest, the last I heard was Queen had sold all the rights to their music. So I don’t think Brian will be concerned about copyright infringements anymore?
Not sure. Depends if he sold it all or just part. Im also not willing to test the waters with the new owners as they have over a billion dollars invested and probably want to get every bit of it and more back. Ha!

“Hey Mr. Sandman? … Yes??”
Another thing you could do, having done those harmonies, is to do a “fan pan” as opposed to hard Left & Right.

Hey Bobby, have you heard of the band T-Ride?
Was that Melodyne stacking of vocals or was it all really sung?
