indian kids CAN NOT survive without bawling during the "maa" song *writing this comment as i wipe my tears*
True💯💯
Hahaha wiping mine too
plus 1
so true 😭
I'm crying so bad
In my opinion, this is the best film that Aamir Khan has been associated with. The sensitivity with which the subject of a disability has been portrayed here is truly something Hindi movies should learn from. This film accurately shows that people have their own unique manner of expressing themselves irrespective of how the world around them perceives them. It also at the same time gives people hope and inspires them to be the best versions of themselves. A true gem of a film!
Dangal left the chat
Dangal, PK, 3 Idiots and this one, i liked all of them
@@ImBatman408 taare zamin par is the best jisne society me change laya
After all the great masterpieces, you look at things like Dhoom 3 and Laal Singh Chaddha and think, "How come Aamir Khan messed up so badly?" Was it the story, or was it just that Aamir lost his touch?
@@ImBatman408 the OP said "IN MY OPINION" in the main comment
Stop pushing your opinion on someone's throat
About the math part, they would actually be on that level. When I came to the states as a 10 Year old I was so shocked to see how behind everyone was in math. I’m talking things I learned in 3rd grade was being taught in 5th.
Americans 🤷
@@NKR200 what,,,, most of the best universities are in the states 👐
@@LuckyLucky-yy7qz well that's nothing to do with maths😂😂 if u will give SAT exam, u will get to know that maths is very easy... Any average Indian student can do much better in the maths section than an average us student as the questions are pretty much upto 10th level only.
Yeah Indian schools go HARD on math
@@LuckyLucky-yy7qz well come to chennai and banglore . U will see more and more universities .
Jaby from the back correcting her pronounciation of tare zameen par makes me feel proud😂💯
😂 and achara again correcting him
Life cycle is goes on
We watched this movie during school... One of our teachers started crying uncontrollably during that song... Such a beautiful movie.... Aamir Khan is good but writer Amol Gupte deserves a huge credit for writing this story. He also wrote Stanley Ka Dabba which was unexpectedly good.
Agreed.. Stanly ka Dabba was such a good movie
Now you're watching the true masterpiece of Indian cinema. Yes we make commercial masala films but this side of us championed by Aamir Khan and Satyajeet Rai is phenomenal and our absolute best.
Well put
Well there are a lot more people championed apart from these two in Indian cinema.
@@nuthead-i-am bro they are north indian hindi speaking shits . They dont accept other language mainly south films as great . Only hindi films are best or only bengali films are best . Thats what they think . Even tamils also think same only tamils are great . This north nibbis and tamils nibbis are same . But today , RRR crossed the borders and made india proud . It is proved that india means not just karachiwood i means bollywood . Proud to be indian only if hindi and tamils stop they think they are best than others .
it is not a masterpiece of indian cinema. Maybe a masterpiece of bollywood since all the rest of your bollywood is utter crap
@@nuthead-i-am Oh man! another south movie fan here to show how good his film industry is.
This was indeed such a huge life lesson for me as a student then and even more as a parent now
Same!
One of the best films ever made in Film History , truely deserved an Oscar❤️films like taare zamen par and 3 idiots made a good impact in students
I would say that this movie had a bigger impact than 3 idiots. 3 idiots was mostly a fun movie, but this movie had an incredibly deep message about learning disorders, and actually opened up conversation about such disorders such as dyslexia, ADHD, and so on.
What is this Indian obsession with Oscars ?Even Americans dont care much about it these days. Just love the movie for what it is.
It's a great movie, and Oscar's became irrelevant after 2007 along with other such spectacles.
We should understand that Oscar is award made for their American films same as filmfare or national award in india
@@sudhirmeghwal7258 I understand...oscar has international category too.. and it's an opportunity for greater recognition.. this was one of the best show and should have represented indian cinema... and not Slumdog millionaire... that movie ruined our reputation... you can disagree all you want but film industry has an impact on how countries are looked at and when not many people outside india watch our movies.. so when something like this comes out.. it should be recognized. And sadly many people in other nations know or knew about Slumdog millionaire than this movie... I have seen many foreigners being skeptical about india and calling it slum country based on that movie...its a testament to the fact that what we put out should be nice like this.. oscar lost its status long ago.. but still has some merit... also it's funny to know that India is made to achieve international status by applauding to movies where foreigners are involved like lagaan, rrr ,Slumdog millionaire.. and we are made fools by it
2007.
That landmark year when everyone was almost certain that the best film title would go to either
Jab We Met,
Chak De India or
Life in a Metro.
And then,
Taare Zameen Par released at the fag end of the year, in December.
This list proves how good the movies were in those times. Now its all trash.
Dyslexia or not. People really don't understand our problem. Just because they understand or can focus easily they think it's normal for every kid. Most of us mentally struggle alot. Even if we try out hardest, it is still very difficult for us.
My favourite thing about Yohan is that he’s the perfect elder sibling without the pomposity.
Perfect
Exactly
Yohan = A gem of a sibling
Rajan = A gem of a friend
I literally cried, even whenever I watch it cry cry the same, it's a masterpiece
Inu was fishing and Andrew be like: He is going to be a fisherman..
1 second later
Inu picking lices from dogs and Steph be like: Aww he is gonna be a vet 😂😂
I noticed that too😂
We indians love everything about white english people . Thats how we are grown up . Even if they poop we laugh and enjoy that . Britishers are nice . What a great country india is . Proud to be indian . 🤩
@@teja7984 Na bro maybe ur like that but i'm not.
Ah, finally! The film that made the nation cry 😭
How about the US.
The whole of india was moved to tears at the time of its release. This movie will always be special for infinite reasons.
This movie was made for parents and educators in India. Kids who grew up in the 90s in India had ruthless teachers and parents didn’t mind it. I’m glad things are changing
Damn That "Maa" Song After 10years still brings tears in my eyes... Because it hits so damn hard... 🥺
In India our parents and even teachers whom we supposed to look up doesn't give an F about mental health and any issues with the child during our academic school life
It's a really relatable issue as a middle class child who grew up while we are always compared to our relatives and neighbours child
Our parents would be always like "You have to get more marks in Maths than our neighbour's child" 🤦🏻♂️
Sad truth is some parents don't get it or can't afford to think in that direction.
It must be fun bashing the parents but guess what , they know this world/society better than you and I don't want to explain you WhY .
Maybe your parents dude..... Not all Indian parents! You got unlucky that's it.
@@organikmishrann9466 well this is the story of 90% of Indian middle class students
Most of the parents of India don't know about the mantal issues, as a middle class I'm confirming it.
That's why I'm a college drop-out even after having tons of certificates and two time scholarship in my school days,
Im just glad i'm smart enough to support myself after that and they still blame for everything.
But I don't blame them, they weren't in the fault. They just don't know people can be ill not just physically but mentally also.
The parents in this movie are so well cast. 👏🏽
PLEASE UPLOAD THE SECOND PART TODAY ITSELF CAN'T WAIT😣
Edit - stop coming at me ik they won't and there's a logical reason behind it, it's just my excitement damn it🥲
They can't
They don't. They intentionally split up the watchalongs so that the watch metric stats for their channel are evenly spread across an entire week, rather than ballooning up for 1 day and then falling for the remaining days.

Great choice of movie... Also, Andrew's ability to empathise and Steph's understanding of the situation makes them the most appropriate pairing for this film ✌🏻
The person selecting these movies one after the other really deserves the praise.

So nice of you,You have selected a film that won hearts of many kids and parents all over our nation, thank you ❤️
His dad isn't villain, it's just how most fathers are in India. I mean they don't show much of the emotions and it results into anger.
If most fathers are like that in our country that doesn't mean that he's not wrong..... Indian Dads should be more sensitive towards their kids.... It will strengthen the relationship between father and child
@@janvikhattar5911 see . When kids turns into adults will they listen to their old parents ? No they wont . Same here . When parents are young they concentrate on their life , passion etc . When kids turn into adults they listen to their hearts . Family is secondary .
@@janvikhattar5911 the thing is stereotypes. They were brought up with a mentality that men should be stronger and tougher and not sensitive. That type of mentality is hard to go. That is why they rarely show any emotions. But yeah, you're right.

This is my favourite movie ….. being a teacher i have a special place for this movie in my heart…..I watched this first time in my school in 6th grade n it literally made all of my classmates n teachers cry in the auditorium
*OMG! The most epic film ever*
It has portrayed sadness , isolation of what a kid faces
i want to say so much but no spoilers!
so thank you so much for this! Love you!
Credit where credit is due, People appreciate Aamir Khan for taking up such a sensitive movie, but Darsheel Safary (the child playing Ishaan Awasthi) did a Brilliant job in his portrayal of a child facing "attention deficit", where he can't concentrate for long.
Still crying as I type this.. No matter how many times I watch this film I can't control my tears. The Indian education system is truly messed up and we can all relate to this film on so many levels... It truly hurts. But really proud of Aamir khan to have made this film. So beautifully done.
One of the best movies ever made.
Raise for the one who is recommending these.

Everyone in the cinema hall was crying throughout the movie ☺️
It always brings tears in my eyes whenever I see him crying. I can relate my story with him I was not a good student everyday a new teacher scold me and saddest part of my life I have lost my mom when I was only 12 year old. I was feeling alone no one was there to comfort me. And each and everyone started bullying me in school. This movie is gem for me. 😭. The main problem started after when I lost my mom. I don't know why God give me only 12 years to spend with my mom.
i cried a lot when i watched the movie for the first time
🤣🤦
If this movie had been released now it would definitely break box office records but it still was a more advanced movie plot for that time.
11:54 Fever, Toothache and Stomach Upset were the Holy Trinity of Absent Notes for me.
I’m so excited to see this film being reacted to. It’s still so relevant. Also, happy to see Andrew reacting to a movie that hit us right in the FEELZ.
'It's still so relevant'...... It's actually sad that even after 15 years this movie is still relevant because it shows that our education system and behavior of parents and teachers towards students/children is still the same...... even AFTER 15 YEARS😢
@@janvikhattar5911 It is a bit better than before though.
Jaby correcting them how to pronounce the title with a wrong pronunciation himself was hilarious. 😂
ADHD is a serious problem for kids at that age
And this movie delivers the best and an authentic version of that
I still remember being 10 and watching this movie. My father took me to watch it
That was the very first movie i watched and was sobbing by the end
I've lived far away from my mom and siblings when I was a kid... because of my dad ...approx 15 years.... I always sob in tears when I watch this movie.....one of my fav movie of Amir khan...loved the kid's acting too ❤️❤️
the opening credit image with all the reactors is dope
This is not just a movie it's an emotion. This movies reminds me of my school days those struggle's those hard working days and waking up in the morning getting punishment for not completing schoolworks at that time for me it was like hell but now I want those days back man 🙂 I missed my childhood though I can't get back to those days but whenever I watch this movie I feel like I'm back in my childhood again ❤️ Those Golden Days man 😌
14:50 that reaction 😂😂😂
Really sad to say that those are pretty common words in Indian household
Thnkuuuuu so much it's my favourite ❤️ i cry everytime i watch it ❤️❤️ will watch whole together after 3 days after all parts released
"i got a Desi feeling"😃 ये बड़ी अच्छी बात कही आपने।।
Man this movie brings so much memories, mostly traumatic from my school days
I was just 7yrs at that time...the actor Darsheel was only 9yrs...I still remember even I didn't understand at that time but saw my parents crying in theatre when I saw at 16...at that time I realised how deep is this movie.
These videos are well-edited. Focused on the main structured parts which define the movie, the reactors are well focused onto the movie, not dragging the topic elsewhere. Amazing!
very much happy that steph and andrew are watching this. one of the best bollywood movies. i don't get tired of this film even though this is my twentyth time(maybe more😄)
This film is one of the best drama films ever made in my opinion, it has a lot of emotional moments and in the end I always end up in tears. One of my favourite movies of all time.
I think you both have great chemistry. Both of your reactions are in sync.
I don't think I will be able to sit through all these 3 watchalongs and not cry as the movie goes along. Simply perfect
Darsheel Safary was so well cast and also, one of the best face journeys I’ve seen on screen.
just absolutely love this movie!! thanks for prcking this one!!
It's one of the best ❤️...you must feel the pain....and at the middle you cry also ....
My 1st ever best movie, I have watched and made me cry..
And still in 2023 the best movie..
Best choice team ❤👌.... You guy's picking up the gems 😍❤

This is not just a film ,this is an emotion of every indian ❤️❤️❤️❤️
the math that you see is simple at that age. Compared to the west our syllabus was way difficult and always complex. You guys had time to learn while we got it started at a very small age
I had completely forgotten the first scene with marks announcement and hyper active mind ....What creativity
Great selection. Please do watch Rang De Basanti as well. It's a story of awakening of a few youth when they get to know about some of the revolutionaries of India's independence against the british empire and their sacrifices. It's a masterpiece in terms of story telling , acting, music everything.
This short opening ost is rocking 🤩
Movie selections are too good man 🤩
A gem of bollywood guys.very good movie.iam a south indian but i watched this movie in my childhood 20 times on TV.our school management has played this film in our auditorium.must watch film guys
I still remember my first day in boarding school. I didn't wanna get embarrassed, so I hid under my blanket and cried all night. If ur an Indian and didn't go through boarding school, trust me u missed making tons of memories in ur childhood. Although it's painful to digest the fact that ur parents left you there to stay by ur own, it's worth the lessons, experiences and fun. I still remember the day when everyone were watching taare zameen par on a sunday night and there was none who couldn't cry. This movie is very close to my heart.
Thank you for reacting to this movie ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Finally Taare Zameen par, I have been requesting to react to this masterpiece ❤️🙏
Nice choices being made
The Indian education system is extremely difficult.
This movie and 3 Idiots did a lot for the Indian education system and how parents and teachers perceived students' abilities.
I was thinking how can u guys miss this , finally we got it. Even though i watched hundred times i love this film so much . Most beautiful thing is Awesome actor like Amir khan and the boy too
Love to watch with you❤️❤️
Best choice so far...🥲
Steph, Andrew...in India...in fact, in Asia, school is super super important. Bunking, flunking are taken very seriously by most parents. Of course with time and new generations of parents, the way we deal with things are changing but school education and discipline are not to be messed with.
Thankyou for reacting on this most loved movie, it's been so many year I had watched this and u remind me feeling good❤️
you two my favourite..... keep it up 👍
Brilliant selection!!!
Love this duo💜
Aww. I love this movie. Aamir khan is my fave when in comes to bollywood. He is into quality stories. Rang de basanti is one i recommend as well. It is kind of cotroversial and i wonder whats ur take on the ending. 3 idiots, tzp, rdb, lagaan n secretsuperstar r my fave AK movies. Ghajini as masala was also a great watch coz of d emotions. Rakh was also very out of the box.
So glad you decided to watch this movie
Clicked on the notification faster than the speed of light. Can't wait.
OMG!! I can't believe it. Yesterday I was watching Taare Zameen Par songs and wondered it would be great if Jaby's team reacts to the movie and today i see the reaction video. Amazing!!
The first scene where teacher announces the marks loud out is something that happens irl too.
I was in class 3 when i had a computer test , the catch being that i didn't know about it since i didn't attend the school the day before, i scored 5/20 and i was so embarrassed that day when she announced it loudly.
Cut to class 12th where my english teacher distributes the answer sheets for us tho check our marks by folding them into a roll so that the privacy remains intact.
The contrast bw the two scenes always gets me wondering about how differently sensitive people can be.
Thanks jabs for this movie.
So happy to see you react to this xD
I was so impacted by this movie, i thought i was dyslexic and i went into such a depressive state. I was too young for it. Watching this brought back that feeling of anxiety and fear 😅
There's nothing wrong with being dyslexic. They have a brain that sees the world and processes it differently. They're like shiny Pokemon.
Probably the best 2 movies of decade 2000-2010 - Taare zameen pe and 3 idiots , both having amir Khan
I can't believe I never knew this was directed by Aamir Khan. What a uniquely talented superstar. And so acclaimed in his directorial debut. None of his superstar peers could achieve half of what he has for Hindi cinema.
i was in boarding from age 6.. and for the next 12 years. Hated every bit of it.. But now looking back it was probably my best time.. i had a blast.. No regrets.. funny how things turn out.
Was just gonna go sleep and then this shows up😭😭❤️❤️
the math questions are legit for his age, they do teach us that math at that age, i for one found maths too much fun I used to love it
In America, there was a TV show called, "Leave it to Beaver" which has a similar premise to this movie where its about a boy who has a hard time getting by academically and socially.
I'm glad you trim the part on minimal 😌
Actually we are taught this level of maths at his age. Indian education system can get pretty tough at times
