What is frustrating is when Maria said Tyler was not considering other people around him and yet she did not consider his military test scores or training into her judgement of intelligence. That made her look contradictory and ignorant. Some of the smartest people I know are in the military. It’s funny when someone ranks intelligence on a degree. Period. "I have a high EQ" >Constantly rubs on everyone the whole video. It's so satisfying watching people with no self-awareness suddenly realise how everyone else actually sees them.
They didn't even ask what Tyler does in the Marines. He's a CBRN defense specialist, it stands for (Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defence), and he scored a 94 on the ASVAB. (Doesn’t mean 94% in the traditional sense. It’s a percentile score, meaning he did better than 94% of people).
OMG thank you for explaining that, I am from another country and did not know what CBRN and ASVAB score of 94% meant (94th percentile is insane), that would have been the first thing I would have asked him in that round, not sure if the other candidates did and if it was just not shown in the final cut, but could also be that certain candidates did not ask to not appear uneducated especially in front of a youngster with a perceived lower IQ. On another note, I am also baffled that Kaylee was ranked so low, software developers know their shit, no matter the education or gender, they have to be very logic which is a big part of IQ tests
Kaylee is insanely intelligent, however she constantly has to do things in her life that help on iq tests and had multiple times where she did iq tests she even acknowledged that fact. The truth is IQ tests are something you can practice for and be better at until a certain point where your brain caps out on every bit of information you can retain, for tyler getting 131 on his first IQ test and no college education or any degree or formal practice he is smarter than her. His potential is higher and his iq is most likely closer if not the same as the guy who ranked 1st in the video with even 1 - 2 weeks of studying@@Zedernstaub

So hilariously true. Although, EQ is actually VERY important for understanding others and social interaction. IQ and EQ are actually both quite important. Low EQ means you are unable to pick up on social queues, probably have difficulty detecting sarcasm and poor understanding of the emotions of other people. When researching human behavior and even behavioral patterns of other species, EQ is very useful. It’s so satisfying to see the final results. I hate the stigma that “college = smart.” It was clear that Maria lacked intelligence by the way she presented herself lol.
ye nowadays college is actually getting pretty pointless with all the useless info you learn. Like if you want to have a career in something, why are you forced to take all the other classes completely unrelated to it? its pretty similar in high school. and since so many people go to college now, the diploma is almost worthless because ya know supply/demand so your basically going into debt for a crappy education, and you can go into more debt if you want to go to a "prestigious" college that will teach you the exact same stuff as the cheap one. what I'm trying to say is yes, going to college doesn't necessarily make you smart, it just means you are following the masses.
That's never been the stigma. In today's idiocracy, the stigma is more like, you dropped out of school and you're smart. There are way too many people with their low class philosophy of mind, that hinder people with real intellectual talent from succeeding in the real world.
Like a true Marine*. Soldiers are in the army. Marines are in the marine corps. Sailors are in the navy Airmen are in the Airforce etc. But we, Military folks, know what you mean
tbh having an IQ of 112 isnt an idiot, its a fair bit above average. idiots are like 80-90 IQ. although there is a lot of people who are idiots with 100IQ etc because they have certain personality traits that conflict them to be corrected etc.

So basically hes really smart and they were too dumb to realise😂
OMG thank you for explaining that, I am from another country and did not know what CBRN and ASVAB score of 94% meant (94th percentile is insane), that would have been the first thing I would have asked him in that round, not sure if the other candidates did and if it was just not shown in the final cut, but could also be that certain candidates did not ask to not appear uneducated especially in front of a youngster with a perceived lower IQ.
On another note, I am also baffled that Kaylee was ranked so low, software developers know their shit, no matter the education or gender, they have to be very logic which is a big part of IQ tests
@@jannicktelintum8504 Or too arrogant.
Kaylee is insanely intelligent, however she constantly has to do things in her life that help on iq tests and had multiple times where she did iq tests she even acknowledged that fact.
For example, Jane Goodall was so successful because she had to have a high IQ AND EQ for her research understanding the social signals with chimps.

so your basically going into debt for a crappy education, and you can go into more debt if you want to go to a "prestigious" college that will teach you the exact same stuff as the cheap one.
what I'm trying to say is yes, going to college doesn't necessarily make you smart, it just means you are following the masses.
That's never been the stigma. In today's idiocracy, the stigma is more like, you dropped out of school and you're smart. There are way too many people with their low class philosophy of mind, that hinder people with real intellectual talent from succeeding in the real world.
