Filipinos love to eat and Filipino moms love to stuff you. You walk away feeling like a Thanksgiving Day turkey…STUFFED!! Only mistake he say he made was not stsy there for 3 days one for could food one for hot and one for dessert 😀 but for now i hope you find really good buffe closer to where you live new one or revisit old good one

LOL, that is an eggplant omelette called (Tortang Talong), it's not a tortilla. By the way, aside from the Spanish name, I'm not sure if it's actually a Spanish influence. Do they have eggplant omelettes in Spain?... That's like saying that (Ceviche) is of Spanish origin because it has a Spanish name, when in reality it's an indigenous pre-colonial Peruvian dish that lost its original name. The same goes for Philippine adobo, the name is Spanish but the dish is indigenous and simply lost its original name.
I knew that about ceviche that it was Peruvian and origin.. I found that out in the streets of Miami at the time out cafe. Funny what one can learn when touring a food stand 🙂

Vegetables are a very rare sight in Filipino food. Meats, sugar, lots of vinegar, and anything deep-fried and cooked to a mush abound.
I did notice a lot of deep fried crispy meats etc

Those prawn crackers are called Krupuk. Now it is hard to find goods with lots of prawn flavor. Thet seem to be scrimping on the prawns.
