Was anyone else wondering if Hannah was going to go on hiatus after making a video about creators who have left the internet? 😅 Honestly, would have been hilarious but I'm so happy you're here!
My dad passed with 27 years sober under his belt. He didn’t leave behind a ton of money or expensive things. But he left me with a far greater prize; hope. When we were going through his apartment one of the only items I wanted was the box with all of his AA chips. They remind me to keep going. Much love to you Hannah.
Love this. My dear husband passed suddenly with 23 years sobriety under his belt. He never took it for granted and was such a huge mentor in the AA community. 🙏🖤
This is such a beautiful thing to share with us and I am sorry that she was too busy or didn't care enough to reply. Thank you. Your Dad's life has given me hope now too. 💯😇RIP 🫶🤲💜
Congratulations on 8 months sober Hannah! so happy for you and so proud, that's not easy, and huge accomplishment ❤ loving glowmas x so happy you're back
I’ve REALLY been loving your content lately. I’m not even that big into UA-cam anymore but I watch every single thing you put out and continue to do so. You seem happy and healthy! I’m grateful for you sharing your issues with booze bc so many of us relate.
6:19 “i’m not using it wrong actually, i’m not going to belittle myself” LOVE THIS!! grown adults know how to “use” these products, that’s just another way to blame the consumer, thank you for recognizing this!
Not necessarily true. There's some products I thought I hated until I started using them a different way. That being said, I feel like it doesn't really happen that often and It is annoying how "Well, you're just using it wrong." gets commented any time someone disses their favorite product.
I don't often get emotional about online creators, but I've always felt you've had such an important voice on YT, that I missed you when you were gone. So I'll say this - your absence was felt, your presence is valued, and I'm so, so happy you're doing better for yourself. Congrats on 8 months! 🎉❤
I had a bad mental breakdown late 2019 and was so scared to admit myself to the psych ward because I was scared of how much it would cost and dealing with insurance. But I had a revelation that my money would do nothing for me if I were dead. Luckily it didn't cost more than what I had in savings, and I know I am incredibly privileged to have access the quality insurance and providers. But I never regret spending that money
7:28 it was such a moment for me when you said "i am plus size. and i'm fine with that." also directly after that when you're calling yourself "a plus sized girlie" was empowering for me to hear. thank you.
You said you've been 8 months sober and me, in an empty room, announced out loud "That is so good!!!" So impressive how hard you've been working on this
Love the realism in the video. From glitterly slippers, cute boots via Stanley to sobriety. You're one of the only content creators that I still trust and that does not seem a sell-out. Also, good job on 8 months! Nobody is perfect, we are all humans and we slip up sometimes, but keep fighting your battles! As long as you do that, you have all of my respect
You are without a DOUBT my favorite youtuber. Youre kind, fashionable, candid, well-spoken…. lemme close my thesaurus. Im so happy about your self-love journey and we are all here cheering you on
Your point about exercise is so true! I’ve hated exercise forever but this year I saw a bicycle on Marketplace and bought it on a whim and discovered I love biking and look forward to it! My husband and I finally found an exercise we love doing together!
18:12 I’m tearing up at this part, thank you for saying this! I was 5150ed this year (involuntary psych hold) and I still have a lot of shame about it. Hearing you talking about treatment and getting your life together has given me a new lens for this. THANK YOU! (And congrats on 8 months sober!)
Im regards to your frizzy hair, you said it was wavy straight. Try treating it like wavy hair. I use jelly soft curl and it works great. Doesn’t feel crunchy or sticky once your hair is COMEPLETLY dry
I was going to say the same thing before Hannah brought it up she has wavy hair. I found out that extremely frizzy hair can actually be waves/curls trying to get into their natural shape. Hannah should test out some wavy hair routines and products. I did some tests with my hair but I don't think it's secretly wavy, it's still straight. Edit: also using heating products to tame the hair to be "straight" is probably a sign she's fighting her natural hair style
Love jelly soft curls! My curls grow out quick - my hair is very coarse & heavy - so I keep it short to maximize the curl. Miss Jessie’s products are amazing esp if you can’t stand cast, esp the ultra light style & bold stuff. Also recommend low porosity products for anyone whose curls are delicate & turn to waves easily - lightweight products have really improved my hair. I even skipped conditioner a couple times & my hair felt great. My typical texture is wavy straw. I swear to god if horses lived longer, I’d swear my real dad was Mr Ed 😂 my mom liked that show too much haha
Silent, long time watcher here- I just want to say how much I admire you. I think you're such a great person with such a good heart. I know I dont know you personally but you seem like you've come such a long way and Its so great to see. I genuinely look forward to ALL of your videos even if im not familiar with the topic. So happy to see you doing so well ❤
18:26 I was actually thinking about going to therapy next year. Life’s not bad, but it could be better. The more people I talk to the more they say, ‘ yeah, it would probably help you.’ Hearing this is pushing me to really go for it. No promises, as life gets in the way of living, but I’ll try
Congratulations on your 8 month sobriety milestone. Last week I hit my 1 year anniversary and felt so happy and proud of myself. I agree that putting money and effort into your mental and physical health is a must. I've been on this intense journey for 2 years and it's been life changing. RE: the stanley cup, I got a knock off for $16 with no brand namer logo (which is what I prefer in general). I just wanted a cup with a straw that would keep my water cold to use at home. I work from home so I keep it by my desk and I would not have spent any more money on it. If anything, I could have gone with a smaller one as it is quite massive.
One of the best things that I *just* bought this year was my first doll! As a kid I was never into dolls but one of my current best friends *loves* dolls and last night we went out and bought monster high dolls for each other for Christmas! We unboxed them in my car and it was sO fun!! I got draculaura and I love her sm and now I *need* to collect all the others
I love swimming so much! Top tip from when I used to go regularly - I bought a cheapish waterproof MP3 player and loaded audiobooks onto it. Then clipped it to my bun/swimming cap on the back of my head and listened to a book while swimming laps 😊 so peaceful and relaxing.
I highly recommend it :D I mainly listened to Blackwater by Michael McDowell (southern gothic horror) which has a lot of water and swimming in it and about being really hot, so it made me feel nice and cool hehe! The MP3 was really small and had a clip built in which made it easier to hold out the way. I have ADHD (and autism) so I often have trouble doing just one thing at a time 😂 having the book to listen to let me stay in longer without getting bored
@ I have ADHD too (I haven’t asked doctors about autism yet, so idk, but I know they can go hand in hand) and I was on the swim team in high school, but ever since then I’ve always gotten bored when I try to swim alone!! I had never thought about something like this🥹
I had a baby this year, so I bought a lot of great baby stuff... But I had severe postpartum depression, and I put time and effort into being ok, so that I could be a good mom.
Thank you for talking so openly about your sobriety journey & rehab. Also, I’m glad to see you have that spark back, while giving frank advice about not spending our “doll-hairs” on aspirational spending. I don’t want much beauty content anymore due to how it impacted my own spending and missed some slays/nays
I have 1 Stanley cup and it lives on my desk at work. I love it because I can fill it in the morning and sip throughout the day. My job requires a lot of talking, so I try to stay hydrated throughout the day. For that, the giant Stanley works so well! It keeps my water cold all day and its pretty on my desk, but if I want to carry it around the room to sip while walking, I can still do that pretty easily. But yeah, I definitely don't need another giant one. At some point I do want an insulated cup that fits in my car cupholder because I take long car trips in the summer and it would be nice for that.
I drink so much more water since I use my stanley cup at my desk at work. I love my water cold, and having the stanley with the straw so convenient I definately use it more....no more water drips all over the desk and paperwork from opening bottles with lids either.
Hannah !!!!! Huge congrats on 8 months sober - I’m in recovery too and know how difficult things can be sometimes. Absolutely loving Glowmas this year, it’s great to have you back ❤
CONGRATS HANNAH I’m so happy to hear you’re 8 months sober. I also really appreciate you being so real and raw on your channel talking about this, it should be destigmatized and normalized having discussions like this and it makes people feel seen, thank you.
maybe try a drop of the Sunday Riley oil in your hair to combat the frizz lol for real though, the dryness of Colorado has made me a frizzy creature too and I've found the combination of salon-grade "its a 10" and redken's acidic bonding treatment leave-in is the answer. it's another wet application product combo, but it has longevity. and congratulations on 8 months sober, queen! you're radiating health and happiness and I'm living for it. 💜
eight months!!?👏🏾👏🏾i remember the 100 day video and that was already impressive, congrats (also don't feel too bad about blacking out in target and buying many things you don't need, i felt that way even while i worked there lmao)
oh ❤ i tried an inner child healing thing with trying to aprechiate or/and surround myself with more glittery, and also pink, things. i must say, it actually works :) brings my inner child a little joy and validation
oh and i did this as a new years thing last year, before 2024 began. new years "resolutions" like that is the way to go. like things that can ✨spark some joy✨ if you will, big or small
I’m sooo happy you’re consistently posting again, you were my comfort creator during covid and now that you’re in a better place, it just makes watching your videos even better ❤
On the gym note, the best thing I’ve done since 2023 and continued in 2024 was Pilates! Love the movement and community I’ve become a part of there. Also congrats on your sobriety, so happy for your health and happiness
when I think of people who truly deserve to be an influencer because their message will positively benefit the world you would be the first person I think about. your messages have always been so good but since you’ve been back it’s better than ever. ❤
I have 3 Stanley’s (got them as gifts) and a Simple Modern tumbler, my simple modern one was like 20$ cheaper than a stanley and I think it works wayyyy better
Thank you for being so open about your sobriety journey. It’s so comforting because I’m a little over a year with mine and it’s hard sometimes but it’s nice that someone is actually talking about it🖤
Your hair looks so cute! You look so beautiful lately. Not that you weren't before your break, but there's just a glow about you that wasn't there before.
I don't normally comment much on UA-cam but I just want to say, it's so nice to have you back! Simply just hope you are doing well and wish you the best
Hey Hannah! Great job being 8 months sober! I also went through a sobriety journey this year and seeing your video HELPED TREMENDOUSLY. You have literally no idea how greatful I was to see you in my sub box that day! It felt like a friend going through it with me. Your health and happiness brought me and so many others joy, have a wonderful holiday!
I’m 34, and I’ve been using Luna Oil and Good genes for years! They both actually work, and they’re both actually really good products. ❤ I absolutely love it. I wear it before bed. I pay it in. All you need is a little bit. The retinol works great.
Favorite part of video: SPARKLY things. I too am a sucker for anything sparkly...I'm a 62 year old, and have no business wearing sparkles...but when you said it made you happy....!!!! Me too!!!
Hannah I'm so proud of you for your eight months!! I've been watching you for years and years and I'm so inspired by how bright you sparkle after everything you've been through. Swimming is my favorite way to exercise too! I just moved across eight state lines for the opportunity to live close to various state parks so I can swim and bike in nature-a big win for my mental and physical health. Thanks so much for another glowmas ❤❤
every smokey glow upload is a gift and we are so BLESSED THIS SEASON!!!! Also the mail truck in background of your vids is my favorite recurring character
hi hannah ive been a subscriber for a few years and im really happy to see you posting more lately. im really glad you’re doing better, congratulations on being sober for over 8 months! sending you all the best wishes
@@Mgdr2011 that is so awesome! yeah live music normally isn't for me bc crowds/extreme volume environments but this concert was very worth it and im considering doing multiple stops next tour :')
I can’t thank you enough for that reminder at the end about prioritizing mental and physical health. I am also a struggling alcoholic along with my brother. And we enable each other. I’m really going to put actual effort into sobriety instead of just “wishing for the day it magically happens”. ❤
Thanks for the video and congratulations on your sobriety! You have a bunch of people (in your real life and internet life) rooting for you! Best things I bought for myself were perfumes and skincare. Learned I have rosesea (inherited from mom) and now have products to help with it has been good for my confidence. It’s also helped with dryness that I get where it hits. I bought the Ralph eau de toilette and Chloe Tangerine Rose and I love them. I’ll wear them alone or mix them with others but they were both bought on sale and worth it.
Congrats on your sobriety journey! I’m just over 2 years and hearing other people share their stories means so much and strengthens my own sobriety. I so appreciate your videos and your honesty! ❤
omg sunday riley luna sleeping oil was an amazing product for me ! made my skin soft and smooth ! but defo wat you were saying every skin is different and really at the end of the day a product needs to work with your skin and eveb if you match to dry / neutral/ oily i still feel tryin is the best way. i only thought to mention because i’ve never tried a product before you reviewed it but this one i hv and finished before the vid and was a stand out for my skin (but also wtf it’s so expensive so yeah can’t afford another bottle). on a side note thank you for all the amazing content , it’s always so detailed and your personality is so kind and fun, i’ve been watching you for years and your videos are definitely comfort
I prefer the Simple Modern brand travel cups. They are cheaper, keep my water cold, and I think they are very aesthetically pleasing. I am someone who does bring my water with me everywhere and I prefer ice cold water year round. It makes sense for my lifestyle. Great video! Congratulations on 8 months sober!
I’m so happy that your sobriety journey is going well! And I’m also so happy that you’re letting yourself skip days as you need for Glowmas. We love your videos, but we love your peace more
honestly i'm supersuper happy that you're back to making videos!!! it's so awesome that i can listen to your videos while doing makeup, crafting etc. again, consuming familiar and good content
Ive been one of your subs before you even hit 6k. The amount of growth ive seen in you! You are just one of the girls and so confident! You have nowhere but up to go!!
For the Stanley cups, I have a 40oz Simply Modern cup. It's lighter for carrying with me and it was cheaper. I really prefer this cup due to the weight of it, I'd recommend!
Omg wait I just got to the end and YAYYYYY for your 8+ months sober! Thank you for normalizing going to rehab! You are glowing SO much this Glowmas. Appearance-wise, but also vibes, if that makes sense? You seem so much more at peace. I am so happy for you. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing. I put myself into recovery for an ED. Not the exact same, but I definitely still feel like it’s something I keep quiet about myself. Like I’m a little embarrassed about it. But your video helped me reframe that. Why in the world should I be ashamed of seeking care for my own health? Thank you again 🩵
So very proud of you, congratulations on 8 months sober !!🎉🎉 As a fellow frizzy hair woman I can not recommend the Verb ghost oil enough! It’s fabulous on dry hair, so perfect for those between wash days 😊
My best buy this year was honestly starting to thrift. I found so many unique hoodies and I actually get a lot of wear out of them. On the opposite my worst purchase this year was buying (into) skincare trends. At one point I started to crunch the numbers and I spent a whopping 600$ on skincare, which is insane to me as I usually spent less than 50 a year. Worst of it all is that at the beginning of the year my biggest skincare concern was some milia and pores but now, at the end of the year, I have full blown acne (which I never had before) due to literally destroying my skin barrier with all the products I bought. Definitely going to do a low-spend year in 2025!
Watched this TWICE cause I wasn’t paying enough attention the first time, and ily sm 💖💖💖💖 love ALL your vids but your recommendations are such a guilty pleasure I just know you only recommend REAL gems I’m so happy and proud of your 8 months and who YOU are ❤❤❤❤!
So proud of your sobriety!! I had a relapse about a year ago and have been going strong again since then; it’s hard work, but always worth it to be better versions of ourselves 💛
Congrats on your sobriety! A huge win! I realized I was way, way too much a boozer and quit drinking over 35 years ago - I feel absolutely great and I'm an old bag! You're wiser than your years, are doing good things with your messaging, and I wish you the very best.
Huge congrats on 8 months sober and thank you for being so candid and open about your journey 🎉 ❤ I just hit 2 months since I quit cigarettes. I went from smoking 3-4 packs a week to full stop. I never imagined this was possible. I definitely regret all the money I spent on them this year…I feel healthier, like my chest is lighter and I can actually feel and process my emotions 💗
Thank u for what u said toward the end. I’m feeling so guilty for taking time off when my job is understaffed but it’s for my mental health bc I’ve been struggling w certain thoughts and caring for myself and I need to forgive myself and give myself permission to do it.
Congrats on 8 months sober!! Very happy you included rehab here on your "bests". Prioritizing your health is so important!
Was anyone else wondering if Hannah was going to go on hiatus after making a video about creators who have left the internet? 😅 Honestly, would have been hilarious but I'm so happy you're here!
Omg 😂 that’s very creative of you! I’m glad that wasn’t her line of thought though haha
Yes!!!!! But then I hoped she was just taking a weekend break
YUP. I was like oooh that would be so smooth
I hope she doesn’t disappear after glowmas, we love your back 😀
Glad I’m not the only one who also panicked about this 😂 having Smokey glow videos has been the best Christmas present every!!

AA chips?
Congratulations on 8 months sober Hannah! so happy for you and so proud, that's not easy, and huge accomplishment ❤ loving glowmas x so happy you're back
RE the sparkles heels: my mom calls that shopping for your “fantasy self”. Honestly framing it that way has really helped me curb my overconsumption.
I LOVE that. I always try to think, "Would I, as I am right now, use this product" to help curb the fantasy buying, and it definitely helps.
I love this! I'm going to try this! Thank you for sharing this!
I do this! I've always called it "my ideal self" but fantasy self is probably a healthier mindset 😅
@@KAR303 Agreed. I think that phrase only feeds the consumption monster in all of us, you can’t buy your ideal self at a store!

17:27 congrats!!!!!! I’m coming up on 1 year sober (Jan 2nd!) and it has completely changed my life for the better ❤❤
CONGRATS! That's so wonderful!
Congrats. That’s a really huge deal. 😊
One day at a time sister ❤4+ years here 😊
Hannah you’ve had such a glow about you recently! Its been so lovely seeing you on my feed again 💗
Is it a ... Smokey Glow?! 😁😂🤣 I'll see myself out...
"Aspirational Purchases" is how I've heard it discussed. The Financial Diet has become one of my fave YT channels
7:28 it was such a moment for me when you said "i am plus size. and i'm fine with that."

oh and i did this as a new years thing last year, before 2024 began. new years "resolutions" like that is the way to go. like things that can ✨spark some joy✨ if you will, big or small
I’m sooo happy you’re consistently posting again, you were my comfort creator during covid and now that you’re in a better place, it just makes watching your videos even better ❤
I can honestly say gym membership is the best thing I've paid for this year. I'm fitter, both In body and mind and met some wonderful people
On the gym note, the best thing I’ve done since 2023 and continued in 2024 was Pilates!
I have one too!!
Thank you for being so open about your sobriety journey. It’s so comforting because I’m a little over a year with mine and it’s hard sometimes but it’s nice that someone is actually talking about it🖤
CONGRATS on your sobriety!!!!! You are doing GREAT!!!!!!
Your health and happiness brought me and so many others joy, have a wonderful holiday!
those pigtails are just so damn cute on you omg!! happy glowmas 🫶
Congratulations on 8 months sober!! You are crushing it! Please know that you’re not alone and you speaking up is NEEDED! ❤️ so so much love
Congrats on 8 months and thank you as always for using your platform for advocacy and destigmatizing so, so many things.
Me too!!!
8 months sober is freaking awesome!!!! Congrats girly! I'm so proud of you! Loved this video and loving having Glowmas back.
Congratulations on 8 months!! V parasocially proud of you over here ❤
so proud of you hannah, thank you for sharing and being so vulnerable and supportive to your audience ❤ congratulations on 8 months!
I know we don’t know each other, but I’m so proud of you for getting sober and speaking out on this!! Keep on going, love! ❤
You should be very proud of yourself Hannah! You’re doing it!!! 🎉 8 months is huge!!!
I love the range of all your content! You are genuinely one of the best creators on this app
Congrats on 8 months sober! I'm on my own journey for my health and I'm so so glad to hear someone else talk about this sorta stuff
hi hannah
ive been a subscriber for a few years and im really happy to see you posting more lately. im really glad you’re doing better, congratulations on being sober for over 8 months! sending you all the best wishes
It’s so cool you went to see ateez!!! I went to see DPR in September and I still can’t believe it
@@Mgdr2011 that is so awesome! yeah live music normally isn't for me bc crowds/extreme volume environments but this concert was very worth it and im considering doing multiple stops next tour :')
I can’t thank you enough for that reminder at the end about prioritizing mental and physical health. I am also a struggling alcoholic along with my brother. And we enable each other. I’m really going to put actual effort into sobriety instead of just “wishing for the day it magically happens”. ❤
Thank you so much for sharing your sobriety journey with us - so proud of you! Congratulations, 8 months is AMAZING. You're an inspiration!
18:26 Congratulations on your continued sobriety, girly!!! I’m so happy for you!!
Congrats on 8 months sober, Hannah!!! I’m so proud of you
Thanks for the video and congratulations on your sobriety!
So proud of you Hannah! Thank you for encouraging us to be the best version of ourselves
Congrats on your sobriety journey! I’m just over 2 years and hearing other people share their stories means so much and strengthens my own sobriety. I so appreciate your videos and your honesty! ❤
Loving your content so much recently and always have! Congratulations on 8 months sober, absolutely amazing 🫶🏻
You look so freaking gorgeous Hannah!! I'm loving glowmas and I'm sooo happy you're back ❤
omg sunday riley luna sleeping oil was an amazing product for me ! made my skin soft and smooth ! but defo wat you were saying every skin is different and really at the end of the day a product needs to work with your skin and eveb if you match to dry / neutral/ oily i still feel tryin is the best way. i only thought to mention because i’ve never tried a product before you reviewed it but this one i hv and finished before the vid and was a stand out for my skin (but also wtf it’s so expensive so
yeah can’t afford another bottle). on a side note thank you for all the amazing content , it’s always so detailed and your personality is so kind and fun, i’ve been watching you for years and your videos are definitely comfort
We love your videos, but we love your peace more
so happy to hear things are better. also on a recovery journey, and it always helps to know im not alone
honestly i'm supersuper happy that you're back to making videos!!! it's so awesome that i can listen to your videos while doing makeup, crafting etc. again, consuming familiar and good content
Ive been one of your subs before you even hit 6k. The amount of growth ive seen in you! You are just one of the girls and so confident! You have nowhere but up to go!!
Your little 'flouncy' dance at the beginning of the video made me so happy, I love it! 😂
Woop woop!! One day at a time sister! 8 months is fucking amazing! 4+ years here and it’s changed my life! ❤
Glowmas has been keeping my life from derailing this month, thank you hannah
My daughter gave me a Beis bag for Xmas last year. I travel for work and occasional weekends. It’s awesome and I love it.
So very proud of you, congratulations on 8 months sober !!🎉🎉
As a fellow frizzy hair woman I can not recommend the Verb ghost oil enough! It’s fabulous on dry hair, so perfect for those between wash days 😊
truly teared up as soon as you said "rehab", i'm so proud of you hannah!!!
WOW! Congratulations on 8 months sober!!
I'm truly so happy for you and I admire you so much ❤
Watched this TWICE cause I wasn’t paying enough attention the first time, and ily sm 💖💖💖💖 love ALL your vids but your recommendations are such a guilty pleasure I just know you only recommend REAL gems
I’m so happy and proud of your 8 months and who YOU are ❤❤❤❤!
So proud of your sobriety!! I had a relapse about a year ago and have been going strong again since then; it’s hard work, but always worth it to be better versions of ourselves 💛
so proud of you smokey! somewhat similar best purchase was my back surgery so now i can walk comfortably
Congratulations on 8 months.. That's such an accomplishment.. Next month I have 13 years.. Love ya.. ❤❤
Hannah I’m so glad you’re back on yt. You don’t know how many times I’ve checked over the year if you’re back. ❤
I just love when you do videos like this. I love the deep dives to but these remind me of a simpler time lol 😂
Thank you for doing vlogmas this year ❤
Congrats on your sobriety! A huge win! I realized I was way, way too much a boozer and quit drinking over 35 years ago - I feel absolutely great and I'm an old bag! You're wiser than your years, are doing good things with your messaging, and I wish you the very best.
Hannah, you are the ONLY influencer to ever get me to purchase makeup products when you recommend them and they have always been a hit for me
Huge congrats on 8 months sober and thank you for being so candid and open about your journey 🎉 ❤ I just hit 2 months since I quit cigarettes.
Huge congrats on your sobriety!!! What an amazing accomplishment!
