    I use my iPad to join a class meeting, then share the screen with Whiteboard. It makes explaining some concepts so much easier!

    I was looking for something like this, thanks! In Mexico we're back at school after a year and a half, but with the hybrid method, and tbh is really hard! My students get used to my ugly letter while we work in online classes using the mouse, but now I can't stay sitting the whole class at school, a lot of teachers prepare their classes using power point but i don't like that way, I prefer the old fashioned way of writing with my own letter while the ideas are coming so I can explain whatever I want, so I'm gonna buy a Wacom tablet (seems to be the least expensive form for my pocket). Thank youuuu, great idea!

      That’s wonderful to hear! I’m glad it was useful and it sounds like a great plan - I also like to draw and discuss ideas. When I use PowerPoint then I also use the tablet and pen to draw on those! You’ll find all sorts of great uses for a Wacom tablet. Thanks for watching!

    Im looking to gift my husband a writing tablet that works well for whiteboarding online in meetings, etc. and with softwares like Msft teams n OneNote. Which would you recommend? I read somewhere to get the Wacom intuos pro instead of the basic One by Wacom coz the erasing feature is better on the former.. Is that worth the price difference? Thanks! His birthday is just round the corner so I’d be so helped by your input! Thanks!!

      @@MsIllusion04 Honestly - don’t over-spend if he’s just using it for online meetings. I had the Wacom Intuos and ended up giving it to an Artist friend. It’s really nice for artists and architects that need precision and more features.
      A wonderful and economical device which is perfect for online meetings is the NearHub S13. It’s the one I use now and I’m very happy with it for teaching and meetings.
      Here’s a video I did on it: ua-cam.com/video/28bHMScIROU/v-deo.htmlsi=HLAj6gAHnz7ik7vJ

    (As Frank points out to me, he has newer videos using the same method as described in this comment). To share a whiteboard, you don't have to share screen on your tab/pad anymore - just do this:
    1. On your PC/Mac: Log into Teams, join the meeting. Share a whiteboard (not the screen - although you can share a screen as well - your choice).
    2. On your Android tab/Ipad: Login to the MS Whiteboard app with the same Microsoft account or organizational account that you are using to join the Teams meeting with on your PC/Mac in step 1. Open the same whiteboard that you shared on your PC/Mac in step 1.
    3. Start drawing on your Tab/Pad - everything will be displayed in the whiteboard that you are sharing in Teams on your PC/Mac, without the need to share anything from your tab/pad. Even using the hightlighter on your tab/pad will be displayed on the whiteboard that you share in Teams on your PC/Mac.

      @@LearningandTechnology Yes - I realise this was a couple of years ago, so probably a bit displaced - I guess this changed at some point in time. Would love to see an updated video on this. I myself use a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 lite 2022 - a great drawing experience, and new pens can be bought for like 20 USD - but the tab is slow! If you can live with that, it's great value at about 400 USD including a pen.

    Want to use my personal iPad to whiteboard using Teams Whiteboard in a Teams meeting from my company's Teams account. My iPad doesn't have Teams on it and I'm not sure if I share the link w/ my personal iPad I'll be able to get into the meeting. Are there other tips on using an iPad as just the touchpad w/ the pencil?

    • @LearningandTechnology
      @LearningandTechnology  6 місяців тому

      The two ways to use the iPad as a whiteboard are:
      1) install Teams in the iPad and join the meeting - selecting the “add device” option. Then share the whiteboard.
      2) connect the iPad as a remote device to your computer (requires software on Windows or using Sidecar feature on Mac) and then share out the remote window running whiteboard.
      To be very honest, I just use an inexpensive Graphics tablet from a company called NearHub - it’s a tablet with a stylus, easy to plug in, and is pretty nice to use.

    Hello sir . I use the wacom tablet I have a problem that I hope you can help me with.
    Which is when I make Microsoft whiteboard on the pen mode..
    This makes it difficult for me to navigate through the board (or the page I am writing on).
    The problem is that when I turn on this mode .. it makes me unable to press the CTRL key.. and move through the page .. the only solution I reached so far to move through page is to turn off the pen mode so that the CTRL become working
    Is there any solution to use the CTRL key while I'm on the pen mode in Microsoft Whiteboard?
    And if not, what are the alternative ways to move through the page while I'm on the pen mode?

    • @LearningandTechnology
      @LearningandTechnology  2 роки тому +1

      I use my mouse to move around the board - if in understand correctly. So I use the pen for drawing and the mouse for moving.

      @@LearningandTechnology Yes, exactly, that is the way I move too (With the mouse)..but isn't this a little slow..if we have the option to use the CTRL button during the pen mode. That would be much faster

    Thanks for the useful explanation. Due to security reasons in the company , I can not join twice into teams - I mean with my Android tablet as well. So, Wacom is the solution? or if possible to use the android tablet without MS teams?

    I love Microsoft Whiteboard and Teams together! I have a Surface Studio 2 even. But some of the companies I've worked for don't like this because sharing your personal PC - even over the Teams web-based session - presents some kind of security issues. I need to find a tablet that can join to my company PC via Bluetooth (USB ports are locked out too!). Are there any solutions you've seen?

    • @LearningandTechnology
      @LearningandTechnology  Рік тому +1

      The Wacom Tablet I use has an option for Bluetooth connectivity - unfortunately, it also has a bit of a higher price to match. It’s designed for artists and works exceptionally well with Whiteboard - it’s just that it’s far beyond what you “need”, but is wonderful to have. There is a new tablet I’m very excited to try (it’s being shipped to me), but only supports USB connection. Here is the tablet I use with Bluetooth - it’s really nice :) amzn.to/46OcW2z

    I need to move forward with whiteboard to present large or small diagrams. If i go with WACOM 15 or 19" i feel like i will have much more roam to draw something with a lot of components. However, with a WACOM, i cannot bring it with me in another office and need the computer-monitor to see the result. So it look like the IPAD-pro would be a better choice, but i would like to know, based on your experience, if its smaller size (13 inches) may become a weakness? Finally, what are the reasons someone should definitely use a surface instead of a Ipad?

    • @LearningandTechnology
      @LearningandTechnology  3 роки тому

      The WACOM is not too bad for carrying around - it will fit into most bags (unless you get a giant one! ). The one I use is USB powered and works pretty well - at a much lower cost than an iPad Pro or Surface.
      However - I also have those :) I like both of them - as they make the writing very easy to do - it's not separate - it's directly on the screen. In a way - that's also a bit of a challenge - because you have to manage the part of the screen you are writing on as well as the part of the screen you are using to manage the meeting. This does mean the large the screen - the better the experience.
      The absolute best solution is a second monitor. In this case - and I don't do this as often - I have a portable monitor. This is a flat, portable monitor that is something that can easily be placed in a bag and makes a difference in mobile environments. It may need a video to explain it. - I will make that video!
