Unfortunately, Whiteboard doesn’t support frames in the same way as Miro. Miro is a pretty robust solution and does have more features than Whiteboard - I need to do an updated video on it! 😀
Hi I really like your video on creating virtual machine from another video. Sorry my English is pretty bad. Can you please help me to answer the question if I should use virtual machine for ga,e development. Thanks
Great video! I have received a shared whiteboard from my college. Now I want to copy the whole content of the whiteboard then I can create my own one in order to make changes. It seems the simple copy function does not work due to the sheer volume of the original one. How should I fix this problem?
this may work: 1) use CTRL+A to select everything on the whiteboard you want to copy 2) use CTRL+C to copy it 3) Create a new, fresh Whiteboard and press CTRL+V I’ll test this next time I’m on a computer (using my iPad at the moment)
thank you very much for your replying. I tried it couple of times exactly in the ways you mentioned but it did not work. I don't know why. Probably it is because the sheer immense volume of the content. @@LearningandTechnology
Thanks for the excellent video. Desktop client... I note from experimentation, that desktop client of Whiteboard only works when you have an internet connection. So no good when travelling and there's no signal. The desktop client won't even open if there is no internet connection. Real shame, as you can't use offline time such as on a flight or train, to prep for upcoming meetings or work. I can see use-cases for Whiteboard for my own use, but not if I can't connect. I guess I'll have to keep using OneNote. Please correct me if I am wrong.
I may have a solution for that 😀 I’m actually working on an even more complete course about Whiteboard and am adding some extra content to what is here on the video. It should be done very soon. I’ll let you know the answer to your question once I do a few things to make sure it’s working properly. Short answer is - I think I have a way to use it offline and will let you know.
Okay - I gave it a try and the "fix" I was hoping doesn't work :( It does indeed need an Internet connection - even when I "localize" the Whiteboard files.
@@LearningandTechnology thank you so much for trying, and letting me know. Shame it didn't work, but I'm grateful. Bigger shame we're having to even discuss it though. All the best.
Sir please help. I am using a Dell laptop with the newest windows installed. When I go to the drop down menu (three dots) I only have the option to add pictures all the other options I see you have I do not. How can I fix this?
It’s a bit of a different objective - whiteboard allows you to construct ideas differently - you can mindmap on the whiteboard actually. Mind mapping tools such as MindManager are good at the one thing: mind mapping. The Whiteboard allows for different approaches. I like to use both! Depending on the messaging I’m trying to share.
@@MBContentCoach whiteboard is just on the Microsoft Office website. It’s part of Office. If you use whiteboard.microsoft.com it should take you there.
I looked at videos of the old whiteboard - is there a way to have more than 3 pen colors on the draw menu like there used to be? Also I keep getting this glitch where my undo key doesn't work and my clicks only draw straight lines like it thinks some modifier is stick down or something.
Sadly no. You can change the properties of the properties of the pens there, including their colour. However, you are limited to the three on the bottom.
love and excited
Thank you for your generosity in sharing.
it is very interesting super course . Thanks
Thanks!Grest detail! I'm going to use immediacy with my Retail Banking team.
Thank you! I really appreciate it.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Happy to help.
Can I set up a whiteboard template for the breakout rooms to use? Thanks
Hi @LearingandTechnology, how I can enable anonymous user while adding something in the retrospective whiteboard.
Dear Frank,
Thanks for the superb introduction. Is it possible to create frames within MS WB like in Miro?
Cheers Max

A VM for game development is not usually done - if the game is complex. It might work for more simple games.
Hi! Is it possibile to share your whiteboard outside your organization? Thanks :)
How do you rotate the ruler if you are using a MacBook without a separate mouse and scroller?
You can click the center of the ruler and type in the angle you want - I actually prefer this way

Go to settings (top right corner) - under privacy and security- check to see if “connected experiences” is on.
@@LearningandTechnology I do not have that option I only have export, enhanced ink shapes, format background, help, and about whiteboard.
@@ericeickemeyer8604 it’s under Privacy and Security - do you have that option?

What up, I have an offpoint question. Why would someone use the MS Whiteboard instead of Mind Mapping with MindManager?
