I have NEVER been a fan of the...electro type sound ESPECIALLY applied to dance/Disco music, or in general. It is too- artificial soulless repetative & amateur, music on the cheap to mask having little or no talent.
BUT I make a rare exception for DO YOU WANT TO FU. K some how it works brilliantly here superbly produced & VERY powerful a song better than YOU MAKE ME FEEL (which is okay, but not in the league of this) and it has now been used as part of TWO film sound tracks - TRADING PLACES & now in ARGYLLE in 2024 again and that's VERY rare.
DO YOU WANT TO FUNK takes it's place among the great club classics such as BEST OF MY LOVE, SEPTEMBER, COOL & gang, EVERY ONES A WINNER hot chocolate Donna Summer's LAST DANCE PLAYER'S ASCOCIATION etc, an era that sadly can never be repeated, you only really know the feel of it, if you were there.
