Hi I’m glad I have watched this, I went for my screening yesterday at my local surgery and have a 4.5 which means I will be checked every 3 months and also will have to visit Chesterfield Royal for a consultation in the coming months. I also learnt today that a guy who was 2 years older than me at school died from a AAA 6 months ago and he didn’t go for the scan when he was offered it…….
I am aware that there are more men than women who have abdominal aortic aneurysms and this is why screening of men is taking place. Should women who have a history of cardiac problems and who have members of their family who have had an abdominal aortic aneurysm be screened?
