  • I'd never thought of trying this but someone asked in the comments of another video about a Neca 1/4 scale and I just happened to have one.
All in all it was pretty simple to take apart. It was the same as a 6 inch figure. Easier in some regards slightly harder around the hips because we all know how delicate these can be on a Big Neca figure.
Hopefully this helps anyone looking to customize a figure in this scale or anyone who's had a big Neca figure take a tumble.

Good video. You took apart everything except the part I wanted to see. The hip. My figure fell off the balcony of a five story building, and while it landed on bushes, the leg snapped off from the hip. Its not a part that can be disassembled, but it might be possible to build a new pin to connect the upper thigh piece to the hip joint. But if it is possible to get the hip piece from NECA then I will probably be able to make the switch from watching your video. Thanks.

Thanks man. Been trying to find a safe way to take apart some neca figs for customization. This video is perfect.

Good luck. Just be careful with the hips and you should be alright.

I'm hoping to find a video that details how to pull the thigh socket out of the waist

The thigh socket is pretty much permanently glued to the hip. I snapped mine off and am trying to figure out how to repair it.

At the moment DP is all I have. But if I get a 1/4 Neca turtle I may give it a try

@@609collector damn.. always want to watch a TMNT one. You might want to get a cheapo NECA TMNT 7 inch figure. it's cheaper to "try" and it would hurt less if you end up melting the figure with hot water
