- NECA impressed just about everyone with their in-your-face take on Deadpool in this large scale. Can they do the same with a much simpler superhero design and a character who is only just now becoming main stream thanks to the Marvel Netflix series?

The ears are a call back to Frank Miller's Daredevil I would assume

Talking about the ears, It makes sense to me that Daredevil paints his ears (because of his abilities). Maybe a little stupid, but if you remember things like Hal Jordan getting knocked out by a Yellow Sign, or how Mary Jane died by Spiderman's esperms, you just ignore that thing with the ears :^T
I really wish NECA could do this in a smaller scale. They just remind me so much about all the stuff I love about the ToyBiz figures but with modern execution. If I had the space and money, NECA would easily convince me of their Q-scale stuff
graefx Neca can't do these figures in 1/12th/6inch scale like marvel legends. Because of their licensor agreement between them and marvel/Disney. Hasbro currently has the license to make these figures in the 1/12the scale. This is why Neca only does the 1/4th scale for these marvel characters.

Depends on which adaption of DD they chose to go with. But usually you can actually see the outline of DD ears even with his mask on. Though those ears are a little too detailed and doesn't give the impression that a mask is covering them. Other than that this figure looks great.
I wish NECA would make a Giantman in this scale
Yeah, he would definitely fit in the Marvel Legends display.
The unmasked mask kind of confirms he paints his ears red since or doesn't have the red ears sculpted on.
Love the Deadpool from NECA so i may have to pick up this beaut.
NECA is just KILLING it.
My 1/4 Deadpool also has that issue with a knee joint. Not universal, but apparently happens with 1/4 scale Neca figures sometimes.
Is there any way you can fix this issue? I've been meaning to find some way to fix the loose knee joint on my 1/4 Deadpool

Anthony this figure would make a great base for a comic style Giant Man.
Daredevils commonly drawn with a lot of ear detail. Not sure why, I know at lease frank miller and joe quesada drew him with ears

From the look of the mask accessorie he comes with I think the ears were supposed to be skin color
Wish Neca would be aloud to do 1/12th scale marvel and I know the licensing with dc is being difficult
Typically, Daredevil's mask covers his ears (and that part is usually softer, if it's the helmet version and not the cowl version) and you don't usually see such definition, for his ears. Going by the other parts, it looks like NECA put their own spin on it, since there is a cutout for the ears, it seems they wanted it to look like he paints his ears to match his helmet. Looks strange but it works, sort of. I don't recall there being a comic version of this helmet/ear combos.

Ocelot I watched an interview about this figure during toyfair and they said their goal was to take from the best interpretations including miller and quesada. Hence the ears
I mean, that's cool... but Anthony also asked if it was a thing, since the helmet has a cutout, for the ears and if he painted them. But, it also comes back to NECA putting their own spin on it, as I said. I feel like you haven't actually read my posts lol.

head looks huge on camera
Do you do any follow up videos? Like after 4 years, does the plastic still remain? Or is it more stressed - like the leg/crouch area? Just curious…

Those ears are weird. Daredevil just wears the mask over his ears, like Batman.
I already have the black and red suited Netflix version of Daredevil, and can't wait until I receive my NECA Daredevil this week. :)
Hey,from the future, the giant man custom. This us a highly detailed DD for action figures nice figure even now. Too bad the scale though
Overall dope figure the only issue I have is his right leg the you said that is "Dangerously loose" around his lower knee area is a bit loose on mine as well went to a couple more other figure collectors UA-cam channel they have the same issue awkwardly
Same here. I keep this figure at floor level. I wouldn't trust him on a shelf.
@@elliotbaltazar I have a black Kaiser stand for it so it doesn't really bother me it's just it's a shame it's such a great figure but the bottom knee part feels loose but I try to work my way around it it could be worst

Another great review! Those minor imperfections are definitely worth considering. For me, loose joints are not an option for an action figure. These 1/4 scale figures are sculpted masterpieces though.
I noticed on the Deadpool the knee joints would bend under the weight of the figure. Is that the case with this one?

So every piece is solid, just like if it was 7", but upscaled?
No but the torso isn't solid on a smaller figure either. Just the limbs.

Cali5556 no, they ran into licensing issues with the DC movie figures (Batman returns, batman v superman) The dc vs alien figures are not discontinued yet

i havent handled it but if its anything like cap, spidey, or deadpool, then...the 12 inch figure is mediocre at best.

I think NECA should get the marvel legends license, hasbro just has not been up to par with NECA
extreme_spaghetti_ NECA couldn't afford the Marvel License and they don't have the same distribution that Hasbro has. The figures would be nicer but much harder to get.

The ears aren't a thing on the helmet, I think they just added them to stylize it.

The deal with the ears Is Daredevil typically wears a really skin tight costume. Which tightens on the ears. Showing the ear part things through.
