Well done man! You salvaged a great figure! I know these things will only increase in value as time goes on so it is nice to see it was not wasted. Truly appreciated! Keep up the great work!
Wow, you're the best. Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately, my Donatello came with a broken left leg. I would really want to apply your repair and I got the part out of the leg etc. (already did it). But the only think I don't get is how I can remove the body out of the shell, even when it's soft after I used a hair dryer. I don't know to put it off the peg. Can you please make a short video of this process? It's very difficult, also because of Don's shoulder strap. If you can let me know, I would be very grateful. I'm looking forward to your reaction. Keep up the good stuff!
UPDATE: I've taken out the body succesfully. I still gotta find a solution to connect the broken ring to the ring. Maybe there are loose rings for sale on internet? Gotta check. However once it is repaired I think the hardest part is to place to body in the shell again, speciffically to place it on the peg of the shell. Only the plastron is flexible. Can you upload a video of this? Because the hardest parts are not really visible in this video.
Thanks, I'll try and see what I can come up with. I was thinking about re-heating the soft plastic part so that it can mold better to the peg. I've read about someone putting a gum o-ring around the peg so that it will be thicker, I may try the same idea by applying a few layers of resin

saludos rallbart, excelente video de reparación... podrías indicarme cómo se quita el caparazón... te agradezco mucho! Hi rallbart, congratulation for video!!!, How do you remove the shell piece?, thanks a lot!
Julián Valencia Cortés pues al calentarlo con un secador de pelo se vuelve bien blando. El cuerpo sale fácilmente por la parte superior. Sólo tienes q desconectar el peg entre el caparazón y el cuerpo

John Anderson you put the hairdryer beam over the shell. It becomes soft and the body pop ups for the upper side. Just the shell peg can be a problem. But if the shell becomes very soft. The peg go out easly.

Mitchell Otten how did you remove the shell? I’m currently trying to fix my Donnie as well
They should make and sell a replacement kit for that since they can't do anything else.
Thank you for the helpful video. I need to fix the shell peg on 2 of my figures, their upper body is too loose
thanks you
i dont know if is possible to repair this part, it is in soft plastic so, the upper part will be loose always.

the resin nation 🤣🤣🤣🤣
my mind.....showd something else...
How did you pulled the peg out
boiling water
Hey.
You wouldn't know how to take an elbow apart?
Try warm water
Like submerge it and just pull it apart?
Hold the elbow joint and twist and pull should I say..
Not sure at all. May be the upper torso will open and show some screws. There are two glued parts without visible screws
How did you get the body out of the shell?
John Anderson using a hairdryer
Could you elaborate a little on that? A hair dryer on what part? Do you have a video of the process?

Where did you get those replacement parts, My Michelangelo’s leg snapped off the same as yours.
I can't understand you. A few of your words are in English, but I have no clue what other language you're speaking.
Mark Curtis try another video that explain how to repair. I understand him very well
sorry friend.
